I gave MacFinder a try to trade-in my MacBook Air and the whole process was incredibly easy, with clear information and updates along the way.

Lots of companies will give you a quote for your device, but MacFinder's assessment is very comprehensive to ensure they understand the condition of your Mac before you get a quote - which includes the battery condition.

If you already have packaging, you can print a label and send it off. I needed additional packaging, and they emailed me a DPD tracking number so I had good control over when and where it was delivered - I had mine delivered to a local DPD Parcel Shop.

I picked-up my box mid-afternoon, returned home, put my Mac in, then returned the box to the DPD Parcel Shop in the evening.

My Mac was back with MacFinder the next day (they emailed me immediately upon receipt), and they checked the device and paid me in full early on the following day.

I'll definitely be using these guys again.

Very satisfied with the purchase of my MacBook Pro. Immaculate condition and a great price. Ordering and dispatch was easy and quick.
( The only downer being DPD courier left it on my doorstep despite their own instructions that it had to be handed over in person. Could have so easily been stolen. Am currently in process of complaining to DPD; I realise whilst this was not your problem, it may be worth raising it with your courier people)

I had questions about the transfer of data and Charles was incredibly helpful and patient. The MacBook Pro M1 I bought arrived very quickly (and is excellent) and the store credit for my iMac trade-in was initiated within a couple of hours of them receiving it. All in all, a seamless and professional transaction.

My trade-in device was lost in transit by DPD and they provided me with updates on the situation and made a claim against DPD on my behalf.

This resulted in payment in full as if they had received a fully working device.

I fully appreciate what they did.

It would be nice to have more information regarding the condition of the item you were buying prior to ordering.

The one I ordered was listed as "standard condition"so scratches or signs of use were expected on a 7 year old unit but the bottom right corner of the iMac I received was dented.

The seller contacted me the next day and reduced the price to reflect the condition so they're customer service is reassuring.

I just hope there are no issues with the screen as the frame has clearly hit something at some point.
