Buyer beware. Purchased seven items three of the items in the box was car parts that somebody took off of their car and returned therefore it was not the original item that would have come in the package before I even left the building I tried to return them and was denied. I have called and left corporate office a message if I do not hear back I guess I will have to dispute the charges on my credit card. this place is a joke

I purchased 3 fans
All had so much dirt on them.
One had kids stickers and food. All mixed matched parts and broken.
Seems someone was attempting to make a fan. Total waste of money and time.
If you can examine it would be great.
We went in asking questions and the young male manager did not have the time to answer questions.

Unhappy anymore. Bought an expensive hair remover. Good I didn’t use the laser remover as the protective glass shield is gone. Could have caused severe burns.
Picked up a plant light today. It does not work. The control is worn off like this item was used a long time.
Lost a lot of money. Items are not returnable. Plus to inspect an item before bidding is impossible to check if it works or to plug it in. Items are sealed in a bag. Done with this. Highway robbery on the above two items!

If you buy one of their damaged, broken, used items the total additional costs over your bid is right around 26% for things over $100. If you buy an item for $1 it will cost you $4.40 so 300% more then your bid. This isn’t with worst part though. Every single item they sell except Like new items is damaged, most beyond repair. Don’t trust the pictures neither they take the pictures in whatever way they need to hide the damage. I have even one time purchased a Red tool box. I drove there to checked the time and won it. When I went to pick it up there was a black tool box with extreme damage now in the same box. Once in a while you can catch a good deal but it is rare.

Feel 100% scammed. Beware this company is garbage. Don't waste your time. They don't care!

This place is a total scam and if you don’t follow every rule you will lose money. First, you have to come in and check every item before you bid on it. Most of them are returned because it’s broken or defective. Second, if you do happen to win a bid you have 3 days to pick it up or you forfeit your item and they keep your money. Or you can pay extra to extend the pickup date one time. Just don’t get sick or you are screwed. They will not work with you, customer service will just hang up on you.

I bought 4 large bags of dog food. Mac auctions takes the payment the morning after you win the auction. I went to pick up and they could only find one bag. Manager offered a refund on the missing bags. Refund is over $100.00. Beware! The refund takes 7-10 days to get back in your account. Mac auctions collect interest on the money until they decide to apply it back to your account!

First of all, I like Mac Bid, but..... Buyer beware! They usually show the value as being WAY higher than you can actually buy a new one for online. Don't trust the Research Item button. Google it yourself. Sometimes they value things as much as 300% more that you can buy it new for. So, imagine that you get a "deal" buying an item for $600 when they said it retails for $1,600 and then you pay a 15% premium AND the item is broken or missing vital parts, only to find it later, brand new, online, for $499. That's what it's like most of the time. Just be smart and don't get carried away. Trust me, I have a house full of crap that don't work because I got carried away with it in the begining. I have actually bought about 7 or 8 Home Entertainment Receivers before I actually got one that worked. But, for some reason, everything I buy at Vista Auction works and has all the parts. So I assume Bid dot Com buys damaged returns and the other place buys the good stuff. I don't know. Just be smart with it.

Literally a garbage company
No inspections on anything. They definitely say open box or new when it’s obviously used or damaged. Don’t even buy anything electronic. It won’t work. We had a few things that were okay but more things that were broken or junk. The B side for the bigger items has over an hour wait time. They will not return a single thing if you did not buy insurance for even though they purposely listed broken items or no matter how long the wait is. They do not care at all. Employees are the rudest people I’ve ever seen.

I wish I could leave a negative star instead of one.
This is a fantastic idea...if the software wasn't loaded with bugs, the payment page is missing fields to enter the "security code" so all the time spent on the deals are wasted time.
The first item was a camera bag listed as "open box" but when I got it home, it was so used the inside padding was worn off!! It was YEARS old and sold as new.
There are charges if you go over 24hrs and using THREE different credit cards delayed the payment on many items over 24hrs so I was charged extra on every item. Suspiciously, the payment methods started working again after the payment.
The help on site (a bitchy girl at the front in the Phoenix office) is poor by most, they seem like they don't want to be "bothered" by your questions. I got the help I needed from other shoppers.
Great deals no doubt, very poorly run and the support on the phone is just as bad.
Overall, not worth putting the time into looking for "deals", you will only wind up being frustrated.

Scam business, they do zero quality checks on products to make sure they match what they’re advertising.

The product I purchased had been swapped in the box with an older broken model. Customer service was totally unwilling to help.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Needs investigated by the attorney general’s office for theft by deception. Items available for bidding are not properly inspected and properly labeled such as missing parts,used,damaged or new and returned open or unopened. Language in the disclaimer puts the responsibility on the bidder. There’s no way to travel to the site and inspect 40 or 50 items you’re watching or bidding on. It’s ridiculous to pay $7 for a guarantee an additional $3 and an additional 15% on top of the winning bid price. If you browse Yinz&Binz you’ll see the returned items that have already received the $7 dollar return fee. For an additional $10 dollars you can pick up your winning bid items before noon🤔 I will be submitting this posted information to the local DA’s office along with the Attorney General’s Office to see if they can force more transparency on all items in auction!!

If I could leave a no star I would. Bought an ice maker for a gift. Opened it up and it was filthy and full of roaches! Freaked out! That is a health hazard. It was an open box item supposedly! Not used!

Mac bid was my favorite shopping after it was closed ! Suspended ! Because I had disputed some items and not paid them, so I asked them how did that happen if you charge my bank card autimatically? It was very clear to me that when you buy its a risk you are willing to take when you purchase an item from macbid.. so i asked for proof of those transactions i supposibly made but never got a answer..im sad that i am being falslie accused of something with no proof or even care to find what ia am asking for ! Proof! Thats all !

Got a bunch of stuff....mostly usable....on item broken beyond help. Seems like there is auto bidding going on to increase the price. Also, the auction can be extended for 30- 60 seconds when it should be over. This causes a rise in final price also. Then they charge you 3.00 and 15% of sale price before adding the tax...
.a 6. dollar item is actually 10.
Basically you are making some reseller of returned items rich. Hope you get a deal worth the time.

Another piece of garbage. Missing 80% of parts. The listing doesn't disclose what's missing and pictures are deceptive. I think the company does this on purpose to stick it to the buyers.

I think the entire practice of selling defects from, Amazon, Lowe's, Target, and Walmart. Should be illegal. Especially when it comes to something that is electronic or anything that takes electricity they should be held responsible to test it or not sell it or stand behind it, but see they know what they're doing so it's grimy business they shouldn't be able to do it they suck. The whole entire thing should be illegal. It's not a business practice that you should be proud of in any way Dude doesn't care who they screw over as long as there pockets get lined. Disgusting

At first you think this company is ran in good form However.. here's some of the things that they'll mess you over with.
1. They rarely give you any description on the product that you're trying to Bid on.
2. Just because it says it's like new about 80% of stuff they have marked like New is just stuff their under motivated employees don't look at.
3. The retail price shown on the product sheet is not accurate they just make them up. So do your investigations on a stock picture with again no description.
4. after the auction closes they want their money first thing in the morning 9:00 am. You can pay them but if they have no location to where the product is at you can't go get it for a couple of days now they blame this on lack of employees but that's not my fault. So here's a double standard they want their money right up front even though you can't pick up your product they give you a deadline on when you can pick up your product which is 3 days and if you don't get it by then you are forced to abandon you paid for product.
5. They have rules regulations time frames setup ALL AGAINST the customer.
So I'm glad to see here that more and more customers are standing up against Mac.bid and maybe we can just get them to correct the issues or get out of business for somebody who really wants to do the job right as auctioning.

Would have given a zero on my review but it was not an option. Bought a chain saw from mac.bid and when I got it home it was filthy dirty, damaged & not operational. Product did not look anything like the photos that were posted for this item. I brought it back and was told I should have gotten the insurance. Asked for a manager, she was just as rude as the man I had spoken to just a few minutes before. STAY AWAY from this business it is no worth the risk of your hard earned money!!!

The absolute worst! I purchased numerous items to begin online store. 80-90 % of the items are used, damaged, unusable. When calling customer service, the rep was absolutely awful! When telling an employee that almost everything was terribly damaged I was told, re order that item from Amazon and return the damaged one. Not cool. That is why consumers pay so much because of that type of practice. A woman behind me was bringing back a baby car seat that had feces still in the seat of it. sold "like new"
