My experience was great. I received brilliant advice on cars as more importantly the different types of finance as I knew nothing about these to begin with. Curt was my contact and he is an amazing person to deal with. Communicated in a way absolutely natural to me . Kept me up to speed at every single step and even popped to see me when collecting the car . Highly recommended

Lewis was really great at helping me…
Lewis was really great at helping me find a new car. I am quite picky so it took a bit of back and forth before finding one I was happy with. I am not local so had to have the car delivered and this was also great, I requested before 10:30am as I work from 11 and the car was delivered by Andy B just after 9:30am on the agreed day! This was a relief as I was worried about it arriving late but I needn’t have worried. I have knocked a star off for the simple fact the car was dirty upon arrival (spotless inside but in need of a wash) so the first thing I did was hop in it and took it to the local car wash! Also had an issue with the finance company moving the goalposts less than 24hrs before I was due to get the car even though I had already signed everything and paid Hippo £299 so I got the car 2 days later than I initially thought but again the communication was great and everything was processed as quickly as possible to make sure I got the car as quickly as possible. I have had the car 2 days now and so far so good! I would definitely use Hippo again.

Poor after sales service
Yet again Hippo fail to assist when a car on lease from themselves has difficulties, for the second time in 4 months I have problems with my vehicle ( MG HS) and all Hippo will say is it is a manufacturers problem, The mainstream garage can not look at it till October so all in all I have a vehicle no one is interested in repairing . Be very carefull when leasing as I believed if you leased you would get a replacement vehicle if yours had problems. Certainly Hippo do not do that or even offer to help.

Great company and great experience
After having a very poor experience with a previous dealership I contacted hippo to enquire the manager was Matthew Pye I can’t thank him enough for his help and professionalism everything ran smoothly the communication was excellent. When I came to pick the car up all staff were very polite and very well mannered I would recommend hippo great experience thank you and my car is amazing.

Promises not delivered
Was promised detailing, valet and a tank full of petrol. Car was driven down rather thank transported and turned up dirty with chip and 52 miles of fuel. I did complain and have been offered the chance to fill and get cleaned . Not the service I expected.

Purchased a car from Hippo leasing 2…
Purchased a car from Hippo leasing 2 weeks ago, after 7 days of having the car I noticed the petrol was running down at an alarming rate, contacted the customer care team to lodge a complaint, was told that I am under warranty with MG so they can't fix it.
Whilst waiting for this appointment which is in 3 weeks I'm hemorrhaging cash in petrol.
The plot thickens Hippo told me to go to a garage of my choice to get a diagnostic check of the vehicle, the diagnostic checks found multiple faults with the car. One being the cylinders are mis firing ( hence why the petrol is running down so fast)
sent this report to Hippo and they still don't care!! They state that I can give the car back or wait for the MG appointment if MG find that the faults found are not under warranty then I will have to fork out £200!! This situation is a massive inconvenience as I've just purchased the car Hippo state they did not know the car has multiple faults.
There seems to be a lack of professionalism and empathy from the customer care team avoid this company the headache is not worth it.

Communication skills are awful
Communication skills are awful, have been emailing and trying to get answers to questions since June and have been ignored. Have now found out maintenance and tyre care is not included in my package despite being told it was. Have literally been left to get on with it. Have no maintenance schedule, no sealer or garage details. Literally had the car dropped off with only 1 key and have been ignored since….. Also agreed not to formally complain with the pre-delivery sales service and muck ups then but now wish I had. Not been great, still not great, still not been contacted 🤷♂️🤷♂️ took delivery of our car early June 26….
Update - Chris - no one has been in touch and no one has emailed! I also asked for someone to call??
