Fjord Tours Omdömen 

Had booked the rib ride through P&O cruise ship Iona, very professional intro and safety brief, then further safety advice from our skipper Aleksander. Trip was just under the 2 hour mark taking us to pulpit rock and Whisky waterfall. Ride was exhilarating under the safe hands of Aleksander, who at various stop points gave interesting local info of each point. Also why take a straight route when you can swing side to side and do fast donuts. Was an awesome trip and would highly recommend. 5 stars for trip and skipper.

Fjord tours operate the Norway in a Nutshell experience. The promotional literature promises wonderful views from the Bergen train line (seven hours of the experience). They do not point out that a window seat is not guaranteed. For the first leg (Oslo to Myrdal five hours) our window view was complete obscured - there was literally no view. Then on the final two-hour section (Voss to Bergen) the train was cancelled meaning reservations were no longer valid on the subsequent train so we had to stand or sit on the floor of the train and again had no view. Fjordtours just books the seats from the Vy network and allocates what they are given - they have no say in ensuring they are window seats. Customers should be made aware that for much of this experience a view is not guaranteed but unfortunately this is not pointed out in their promotional material.

The Bergen–Voss–Gudvangen–Flåm–Myrdal–Bergen route was okay overall, but the itinerary felt unnecessarily stretched. The clear highlight was the cruise between Gudvangen and Flåm.

There was quite a lot of unnecessary waiting time in both Gudvangen and Flåm, where there is relatively little to do for such long stops. The itinerary could easily be shortened by around two hours without making the connections feel rushed.

Another point to consider is the price. Although booking everything independently means arranging five separate journeys, it would still be considerably cheaper than purchasing the packaged tour.

Dont buy tickets if you are on a cruise. You will lose your tickets an have to buy new ones if you cruise is arriving earlier and leaves earlier.

Our experience with Fjord Tours Norway was excellent from start to finish. Everything was extremely well managed, and all the transport connections were seamlessly integrated, making the entire journey smooth and stress-free. We didn’t have to worry about timings or logistics at any point.

A special mention for the luggage handling, our bags were transferred promptly and efficiently between destinations, which made traveling even more comfortable. Overall, it was a hassle-free and well-organized experience that allowed us to fully enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Norway.

I was able to make adjustments to my booking up to the last minute. Every part of the journey was well organised and explained. The bus driver from the fjord was great fun and so helpful. Sadly it was a rail replacement service from Voss to Bergen but the station staff were extremely helpful.
The scenery from the train was so beautiful. We were sat on the left but it looked gorgeous on the right also. The train from Myrdal was charming and old fashioned- more lovely scenery. The boat across the fjord was magical with great information on screens and a lovely cafe for coffee etc.

Everything was arranged seamlessly and the customer service was efficient and friendly.

We really got to see and experience a little bit of everything! Highly recommend. The self-paced development of the tour made it a relaxing way to travel and the directions to connect between all the travel legs were easy to follow. It was fun and breathtaking. Additionally, by extending a few nights in Flåm, we were able to participate in local fjord experiences that checked the box for taking an actual fjord cruise…something that had been on our bucket list. We decided it was better than a cruise because there were less people and we had personalized experiences and stories from the locals. We want to go back and see and experience more!

The arrangement and coordination between train, ferry, and buses are great. You are a very experienced tour company. I would recommend my friends and all who are visiting Oslo to get Fjord Tours to arrange for the Norway in a nutshell.

Loved the segmented aspects of these trips. When you pick an activity it automatically schedules the next train or boat. I would love to be able to do this type of tour where you pick in other places too.

It was a long day and the tour was easy to follow. Locations were within easy distance to walk to, to get to each aspect of travel. Scenery was spectacular! We travelled from Bergen to Oslo in one day. Used the luggage transfer service that made travel easy as did not have to worry about lugging bags. When we got to destination hotel they were ready and waiting.
