1.Search assistance.
1.After I look someone up, FMP sends me a message telling me they have done some digging - Not a good look when the suggestions are seldom if ever correct or useful. The idea is good, not the execution.
2.The newspaper search has changed - can't search publications, dates etc over the last few days - Why?
It helps reduce the numbers when a suspected place and /or year can be included.
3.Find My Past is good for quirky UK searches like RC baptisms - keep that up.

The way filters work now has changed slightly, if you click 'Filters' at the top of your search it will open a window on the right hand side of the screen containing all available filters for you.

I've been with Find My Past for 20…
I've been with Find My Past for 20 years when it 1837online. I was peeved to find out a year or so ago that Ancestry.com who I also subscribe to got the rights to host the Nottinghamshire Parish Registers from the Notts Archive. Why didn't FMP try harder to get these to add to their holdings?
It seems that FMP over the last 2 years has dropped the ball and is happy to think that the loyalty of its subscribers is enough to count on.
The number of new UK data set aquisitions as previously mentioned with the Notts Parish Registers has completely gone off the radar! The only meaningful new additions now is the digitised British Newspaper Archive newspapers and journals.
My advise to FMP would be to aquire and host where possible all UK counties parish registers.

In most cases i can find more direct search results than Ancestry i always look here at Findmypast first and usually a photo of original document

It's relatively easy to search for what…
It's relatively easy to search for what I am looking for by using the record sets. I am mainly interested in Australian and UK records, so I can usually find those. My only gripe is the lack of a way to easily cite the record I have found. There is often a lack of detail of where the actual record came from and I have to use other websites to drill down to the actual location of the record to write a proper citation. A copy citation button would be very useful sometimes.

Simple to create a new tree
Simple to create a new tree, or import and export to other apps. Hints are great, but would love more freebies to help with those challenging connections. Like every other app you will need secondary sources and probably other apps too. Genealogy is hard, but this app helps so much in collating all the threads.

Easy collection searches
I use Findmypast constantly but do wish that they had licences to cover more of the UK counties.
The easy way to zone in on a Collection search is one of it's best facilities.
Always my Go-To spot for anything Ireland!

The overall experience
The overall experience and depth of detail in Find my Past is excellent, however the price of subscription is (in Australia) almost beyond affordability for pensioners such as myself. We find we need to "rest" between annual subscriptions in order to keep our research going.
