I've been using CleaningDay for a little over six months now. They are reliable and do a great job, their customer service is responsive and helpful as well. We were very pleased with the work that Ivanka did for us.

Awful company, DO NOT USE! Booked them for an end of tenancy clean, they arrived 4 hours late, did absolutely nothing, and then didn't return to re-clean it before we handed our keys back. Then they were extremely rude to our letting agents who in turn and understandably refused them access to clean the property after we left.

They were rude and condescending every step of the way and refused to give us a refund of our £159 despite never having done the job, claiming it is our fault they didn't do their job. We also then had money taken from our deposit on top of this for the cleaning they were meant to have done.

In the end we did a charge-back through our bank and got the money returned that way, I would advise any of you to do the same as Cleaning day will never do the right thing.

Worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

Do not use this company. They will charge you a lot of money for a service worth less than half what you pay for.
Particularly avoid the “professionally steam cleaned carpet” service which is nothing like it - it seemed like a water spraying with a big machine which was missing a wheel.
My landlord was saddened for me at spending so much money £400 to pay for a poor service.
When the cleaners arrived, luckily I mentioned window cleaning as they were confident this was not even included. After showing them my invoice they agreed to do it but were totally not equipped (no ladder for external windows) and then even completely omitted to clean the large kitchen window for which I paid and got no refund for.
I paid for a carpet steam clean which was completely worthless. A whole set of stairs was not even water-sprayed (I can’t stay steamed), many places looked like they hadn’t even been hoovered properly.
As a compensation, CleaningDay suggested a re-clean. Obviously my landlord had no interest in getting those people back in for a waterspraying of her carpets so she had to charge me another £150 to use a real carpet steam clean company, and £20 for a final hour clean.
Dont be fooled by their 48hr guarantee either which doesn’t mean anything. They expect you the tenant not to attend after the clean, and for the check-out clerk to do his inspection and send his report within 48hrs for you to then report back any issues to them. This is just simply impossible.
My clean was on Friday, check out inspection was on the Saturday, so there was no way the check out report would be back with me by the Sunday, or even within the week. Those things take time as clerks have to compile their notes, photos, and then get the landlord to approve and pass on to us. Bogus guarantee.
Also when I reported the poor service the day after the clean, I was blamed for taking too long to report it, when in theory if I had followed their guideline that the tenant must not enter the premises after the clean, I would never have even been able to witness and report on the missing kitchen window clean and poor water spraying service. So the whole 48hr guarantee is completely worthless. Basically once you have paid you are left with no guarantee other than the guarantee that your deposit will not be returned in full.
My invoice stated cash payment upon completion of the work, but the cleaners insisted on getting paid upon arrival. Make sure you refuse and show them your payment terms.
I am not getting any compensation from them obviously even though I tried and sent them pictures from the inventory report taken 1 DAY AFTER the clean, but I hope others can learn from my mistake in not using them and hire a respectable and professional company which deserves your hard earned money. Avoid at all costs.
My landlord’s comments: I think the cleaning company that you employed were not as thorough as they should have been (particularly for how much they cost!), so if there is any way you can get money back from them (for your reimbursement) then you should definitely try! I have attached a few photos if it helps.” To her inventory clerk: “The cleaning around the flat generally fell below the standard I would have expected considering how much they charged the tenant. The blinds in the bathroom were so filthy I had to use white spirit on them, there was hair and dust in the chest of drawers in the top bedroom and the carpet had not been hoovered very well. There were also cobwebs in the ceiling corners of most rooms."

I lost a lot of money using this company from my deposit. They did not reply to my complaints.

I hired this cleaner to do an after builder cleaning service and was sorely disappointed. I had to make them clean my kitchen and bathroom floors again, because they were still so dirty. They didn't clean my door handles or wood floors properly - had to make them redo, and they left my kitchen floor sticky.

I regret paying them the full £159. Never again - would not recommend at all!
