It was a good stay. Only the foldup bed was a bit broken. So we slept on the matress on the floor.

Absolutely terrible from a guest…
Absolutely terrible from a guest perspective. Emailing check in instructions same day when traveling internationally where many people do not have access to their emails unless they find wifi or buy a sim. They gave us 3 different addresses to pick up keys. I’m not looking to do a scavenger hunt to check into my VRBO. They business hours they sent in the email of where to drop our keys off were wrong. They didn’t send us check out instructions until 5pm making it hard to clarify their terrible instructions on where to leave the key. To get the key and drop off the key there’s a pin is impossible to obtain. As someone who travels all the time as a pilot this was the worst check in check out experience I have ever had. Will avoid them at all costs.

Excellent apartment and hospitality, overshadowed by an immediate data breach
Our stay, managed by Checkmyguest, was wonderful on the operational side. The apartment was fantastic, spotless, received on time, and perfectly suited to our needs. It was located in a great area in Paris, with all appliances functioning seamlessly, including the coffee machi,ne and thoughtful refreshments left for us. The local team was responsive and available whenevwe needed themded.
However, a serious data security incident severely impacted our experience right from the start. Just minutes after completing our reservation on Airbnb, I was contacted directly on WhatsApp by an individual impersonating Checkmyguest demanding a payment, possessing my full name, personal phone number, and exact booking details. Tellingly, only minutes after that fraudulent WhatsApp message arrived, Checkmyguest issued an official warning through the Airbnb platform cautioning guests about ongoing scam attempts—confirming that an account or system compromise had just occurred, though the warning arrived too late.
Due to this immediate leak of personal data, I suffered a financial loss. While the physical apartment and on-site hospitality were truly top-notch, cybersecurity and guest data protection require urgent attention and accountability. I have all the documentation, messages, and receipts securely stored, and I expect Checkmyguest management to reach out directly to resolve this matter and discuss compensation.

The hosts were super nice and super responsive. Anything came up, I was able to message them at anytime time and got very quick response. The appartement was nice and clean. And thank you for the tea items. They really helped when we just arrived at the place.

Je déconseille vivement cette plateforme.
Dans le cadre de la location d’un studio à Paris pour une durée de 80 jours, j’ai réglé l’intégralité du séjour près de deux mois à l’avance, ainsi qu’un dépôt de garantie de 1 500 €.
Malgré ces paiements, je n’ai obtenu la confirmation des modalités de remise des clés que 48 heures avant le début de la location. Durant toute cette période, mes nombreuses tentatives pour joindre le gestionnaire, que ce soit par téléphone, par e-mail ou via WhatsApp — qui semble pourtant être leur moyen de communication privilégié — sont restées sans réponse.
Plus préoccupant encore : lors de mon départ, personne ne s’est présenté pour effectuer un état des lieux de sortie. J’ai donc restitué les clés sans qu’aucun constat contradictoire ne puisse être réalisé.
Depuis, mon dépôt de garantie de 1 500 € ne m’a toujours pas été restitué, sans la moindre explication ni justification. Mes appels et messages restent, là encore, sans réponse.
Une telle absence de communication et de suivi, aussi bien avant l’entrée dans les lieux qu’après la restitution des clés, est particulièrement inquiétante lorsqu’il s’agit de sommes aussi importantes.
Au regard de mon expérience, je ne peux absolument pas recommander cette plateforme et n’ai plus aucune confiance dans son sérieux.
