Faible Rentabilité, Entretien négligé Contacts absents ou presque avec les interlocuteurs présumés responsables et désignées par l'entreprise Pis encore, après qu'un propriétaire, l'auteur de ces lignes, en la circonstance,ait indiqué fermement souhaiter rompre un contrat inéquitable ceci avant l' arrivée de voyageurs a bas coût condamnant ainsi un projet de l'appartement, l'un des responsables de l'agence m'a ainsi menacé " Si vous essayez de les virer, je vous brise les jambes " . Une menace sans ambiguïté de " jambisation" selon les termes consacrés et qu'un chef de la DZ Mafia n'aurait pas désavoués. ( Une plainte a été déposée) En résumé, une faible rentabilité aux antipodes des promesses de l'agence, des chiffres trompeurs qu'attestent les trop rares échanges avec la plate-forme, un entretien notoirement défaillant...et des échanges absents ou presque sauf lorsque le propriétaire entend récupérer son bien et que cède le vernis de Check my Guest au profit de diatribes mafieuses. Bref....

This home was incredible and had everything we could ever need. We were able to truly experience the area as a local. We were able to cook dinner, enjoy the cafes, shop, sight see, and just embrace such a wonderful area. I could not recommend this apartment more.

UPDATE – FIVE MONTHS LATER, THE APARTMENT IS 39 M², NOT 52 M²
After five months of repeated phone calls, WhatsApp messages, emails and two registered letters, Checkmyguest has continued to refuse to properly address my complaints about this apartment.
Among the issues I raised were the absence of the blackout blinds advertised with the property, the absence of a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, and, most importantly, my repeated concern that the apartment was nowhere near the 52 m² advertised and presented to me when I rented it.
Checkmyguest also failed to provide me with the inventory and DPE documentation required under my 238 day lease.
It was only after I began documenting my experience publicly that Checkmyguest finally agreed to have a diagnostic assessment undertaken by an independent third party. The apartment was measured on 14 September, and the resulting report was sent to Checkmyguest on 15 September.
Despite my repeated requests for a copy, Checkmyguest did not release that report to me until yesterday, two weeks later.
And now we know why my concerns about the size were justified.
The diagnostic report confirms the apartment is 39 m².
Not 52 m².
That is a difference of 13 m² - 25% smaller than advertised.
The report also rates the apartment's summer comfort as “insufficient” and recommends shutters or other external solar protection. Particularly significant given France experienced its hottest summer ever recorded with 53 days of registered heatwave.
Five months after I first raised these issues, I have still received no apology. Instead, Checkmyguest has sought to shift responsibility to the apartment owner, saying that they themselves were provided with incorrect information.
Nor has an appropriate financial resolution been offered, despite my putting forward what I consider to be a fair and equitable proposal to resolve the matter.
Most concerningly, as at the time of writing this review, Checkmyguest continues to advertise this apartment as 52 m² and as having air conditioning, despite now having an independent diagnostic report confirming the apartment's actual size and despite the apartment not having air conditioning.
After five months, two registered letters and an independent diagnostic report, these are no longer matters that can reasonably be dismissed as misunderstandings.
Is this a company you would want to rent from?
