Cheapfyshop was a bit disappointing as they did not confirm every leg of my overseas flight in time for me not to stress. The alternative flights were to expensive to proceed with them. I had to cancel and book elsewhere, Scott served me in the end. He was understanding and very helpful in relieving me from having to pay any penalty. I was very abrupt with him, as I wasted so much time trying to secure a ticket for the next day. He handled my stress with calmness and distinction and I am happy with the outcome. Thank you Scott.

Beware: Advertised prices are not real. Classic bait and switch. Stay Away from this trap. Total nightmare. Paid over $660 for a flight from Brisbane to Delhi. Cheapfly Shop accepted the money but never issued the ticket. Worse, their shady conduct triggered a bank fraud alert that blocked my credit card. While I forced them to refund the money within 24 hours, the non-supply means I now have to buy a replacement ticket at a significantly higher price. Do not trust their high Trustpilot rating—they manipulate it by begging for reviews for their staff even when bookings fail. Check ProductReview.com.au instead, where they have a 1-star warning. They use a classic bait-and-switch pattern to exploit travelers on strict timelines. Avoid them. If you end up trapped in a booking failure with them, make sure to report them directly to the Fair Trading department in South Australia (CBS).

I booked flights to Brisbane for…
I booked flights to Brisbane for approximately $450, believing that the fare advertised and selected was available at that price. I was unaware that the booking was still subject to seat allocation and fare confirmation.
I subsequently received a phone call advising me that the fare I had booked was no longer available and that I would need to pay an additional $505 on top of the amount I had already paid. This was an unexpected and significant increase in cost.
Scott was helpful during the process; however, he failed to mention that my return flight would arrive at Avalon Airport, despite me having already booked airport parking based on my original travel arrangements. When I raised this, I was told that Avalon was “not far”. In reality, it is 51 kilometres away, and the airport parking provider I booked with does not offer pick-ups from Avalon. As a result, I will need to organise an Uber, which will cost approximately another $90.
My trip has not even started, yet I am already facing costs of approximately $1,150. This is more than double the original quoted price of around $450, with additional costs arising from changes and information that were not clearly communicated to me at the time of booking.
I am extremely disappointed with this experience. Customers should be able to book flights with confidence that the advertised fare is available and that any significant changes to their itinerary, including the arrival airport, are clearly communicated before payment is finalised.
I would appreciate a review of this situation and a reasonable resolution, as I do not believe it is fair for me to bear these unexpected additional costs due to a lack of clear communication during the booking process.
