Thank you for the opportunity. We had a good time in the camper van. What was a drawback was:
1. availability of gas bottles. We went to 16 different fuel stations and were left cold in the country for three days without gas.
2. Extreme lack of services in Ireland during this particular hire period. This was not conveyed to us prior to hire.
3. Lack of information about exactly when and where to pick up the van in Dublin. The location to collect the van is very tricky to find as the IMAP’s and Google maps puts the address in a business park across the other side of a main road.
4. Water tank was only set to receive 20 litres of water. We were not made aware of this. I only realised it when our water started to pump out of a bung hole and I had to research what was happening. I found that both bungs in the tank were open. I had no water for the last two days.
5. Crockery shouldn’t really be crockery it should be melamine or something similar to stop the rattling.
6. There was a TV fitting but no TV in the van.
7. This is a design fault but the ladder at the back for the top back bunk should be located to the side to allow for the entry and egress of the bottom bunk and the opening of the fridge.
8. The fridge seals were really dirty and smelly.
9. The plug for the kitchen sink did not fit. It had a metal spike in it which I needed to modify to allow it to fit.
10. The service from the Dublin branch was outstanding. Both men from there were so helpful and caring. Thank you to both of them.

We had a great trip to Scotland
We had a great trip to Scotland with Bunk Campers and were very satisfied overall. The service was excellent and everything worked smoothly.
There was one small issue when refilling the gas — the technical hotline was unfortunately not very helpful in that situation. However, aside from that, everything else was perfect.
Pickup and return were quick and easy, and the staff were friendly and professional. All in all, we were very happy with our experience and would definitely recommend Bunk Campers.

probleme technique et assistance defaillante pour un roadtrip en hiver
Nous avons réservé un camping-car pour un road trip en Écosse au mois de décembre. À la récupération du véhicule, nous étions très satisfaits : le camping-car était propre, spacieux et conforme à nos attentes.
Cependant, plusieurs problèmes techniques sont survenus et ont totalement gâché notre voyage.
Nous avions souscrit à une formule incluant les pleins complets (eau, gaz et carburant). Dès le premier jour, toute l’eau s’est vidée car la purge antigel n’avait pas été fermée. Nous avons perdu beaucoup de temps à chercher de l’eau pour refaire le plein, ce qui a fortement perturbé le début du séjour.
Au bout de six jours, la bouteille de gaz était vide, alors qu’il nous avait été assuré qu’elle tiendrait largement pour les huit jours du voyage. Nous avons passé deux jours à chercher du gaz dans une douzaine de stations-service, sans succès. La bouteille étant une bouteille rechargeable GPL, aucune station dans les hightlands n’était équipée pour ce type de recharge. Les seuls points de recharge se trouvaient à Édimbourg, très loin de notre position.
À cela s’est ajoutée une défaillance technique qui nous a empêchés de basculer le chauffage sur l’électrique. Nous nous sommes donc retrouvés sans chauffage, sans eau chaude et sans possibilité de cuisiner, en plein hiver, avec des températures extérieures descendant jusqu’à -3 °C.
Nous avions pourtant été fortement conseillés d’aller dans des campings afin de recharger le camping-car en électricité. Or, en décembre, tous les campings situés sur notre itinéraire entre Édimbourg, Saint Andrews, Inverness et l’île de Skye étaient fermés pour la saison. Les seuls campings ouverts que nous avons trouvés se situaient à Édimbourg et à Glencoe car c’est une station de ski (prévu à la fin de notre roadtrip). Cette information essentielle aurait dû être clairement mentionnée avant la location, surtout s’il est impératif de recharger électriquement le véhicule tous les jours, malgré la présence de panneaux solaires.
Nous avons contacté l’assistance, qui n’a rien pu faire le premier soir. Face à la situation, nous avons dû aller à l’hôtel, avec la promesse du service technique que la nuit nous serait remboursée. Le lendemain matin, la température à l’intérieur du camping-car était de -1 °C. À ce jour, nous n’avons toujours aucun retour concernant le remboursement de cette nuit d’hôtel.
Un rendez-vous avait été fixé le lendemain avec une équipe technique, mais personne ne s’est présenté. La communication avec la centrale a été extrêmement compliquée et totalement ineficace. Nous déplorons d’avoir perdu deux jour de voyage, un manque d’assistance et un service technique clairement défaillant.
Enfin, lorsque nous avons rendu le camping-car à la centrale d’Édimbourg, l’agence qui nous avait loué le véhicule n’avait jamais été informée de nos problèmes techniques. Le personnel sur place s’est montré surpris et s’est excusé, ce qui révèle un sérieux problème de communication interne.
En résumé, malgré un véhicule initialement satisfaisant, l’accumulation de problèmes techniques, le manque de support et l’absence d’informations essentielles pour un voyage hivernal ont fortement impacté notre expérience.

STAY AWAY
From the get go the experience was horrendous. The van was handed over in the London depo, whereby the lady was friendly. Walking round the van took all of 10 minutes. Upon later inspection, after the excitement had wore off, the van seemed to be held together with duct tape and glue. The bumper had a crack in it that was covered in white duct tape, In Hopes we wouldn’t notice the side panels were held together with duct tape and a crack had been superglued down….thinking to myself ‘okay, this if fine, it’s just a unfortunate accident from a inexperienced driver’. Untill venturing inside. The control panel displayed MULTIPLE system errors or malfunctions. The heating would not work in the rear of the van. The oven would work for all of 40 seconds before going out. The fridge froze all of my food and drink within the hour (despite this being listed as a problem on handover, it was still rented out withough rectification). The van itself displayed multiple driving and engine failure lights. The rear ‘boot’ door handle snapped off into my hand with no effort or force at all. After traveling almost 1000 miles to the edge of Scotland I called the depot to complain. This put me through to Northern Ireland, where the staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. After many, many arguments, the Edinburgh branch phoned and said that they would swap my van after cutting my time sort and driving 4 hours towards the branch. This NEW van had been promised to be checked and all in working order. This van had a door handle that had broken off and glued back, as soon as I collected it, the frost prevention kicked in and drained the water, the gas wouldn't light due to the van being ‘winterized’ (meaning this clearly wasn’t checked). After warming up and resetting the van, off back up to the edge of Scotland we go. Upon setting for the night to cook our food, still frozen from the previous van, I open the draw to MOULDY utensils. Fury mould everywhere. So I found a local shop and had to buy all new plastic cutlery and utensils. The pre bedtime tea could have almost skinned me from the waist down as the mug that I was using cracked in my hand and how tea flew out the mug. Giving up for the day and realized we had been cursed and wasted out hard earned money to see family in Scotland in a motorhome, we made the bed. Minus 2 bed slats. One was completely missing, and the other tossed underneath the bed for safe keeping. So we slept uncomfortably in the dropdown bed. As there was only 2 days left, I suffered this van and drove it straight home withought seeing family over the Christmas holidays. Grossly upsetting.
Whilst back at the depot there was another family returning there van with the same issues. To top the cake, the van was also rented to me with a baby smooth front tyre. HIGHLY ILLIGAL.
There is so much more that went wrong with the van but this review would have to have chapters!
Just Go and Bunk Campers on the whole, do NOT care about customer satisfaction. DO NOT care about professionalism within their headquarters. DO NOT care about the cleanliness and drive ability of their vehicles. They will keep your deposit and grossly overcharge for the service they provide. I’d rather book a youth hostel than rent a van from Just Go again.

The only challenge was transitioning from LPG for heating and cooking, as it is quite hard to come by, but everything else was perfectly fine.

Great véhicule but information not good with the assistances (battery) 3 times and 1h30 on Phone and we could have some serious problème outside. No heat inside for half trip, around 0 degrés outside and they juste say... "ooh we offer you an 10% on the futur trip with us..." définition of a joke

Important things to consider before booking...
A few minor things put a damper on the whole experience. There was an issue with the hot water system and it took a good 30hours to workout how to rectify it to then learn it it takes 30min to heat up and 1 shower to use it all (repeat x 4 for several days). To charge anything its best to be plugged into power so not great when trying to freedom camp. Getting rid of black water got harder and harder as the trip went (Galway counterclockwise back to Dublin). Supermarket parking doesnt generally cater for large or long vehicles. Need to purchase dishwasting soap, tea towels, scrubbers, toilet paper etc. We got a flat battery for no apparent reason but mechanic suspected it could have been because the fridge was on. Beds and front seats were super comfy and it was great to drive but would not do it again.

Almost there
Camper was presented in immaculate condition. Talk thru was presented with most things covered. Disappointed with the gas refill in that finding places to refill was a very time consuming adventure. All things considered I believe that a four is appropriate.

We had an amazing time with a relocation deal, and all the campsites offered discounts. The campers were clean and well-maintained throughout the year, plus they were pet-friendly. My dog Panda, who enjoyed sitting in the captain's seat, also had a great time. We're already organizing our next adventure. Five stars!

Très bon accueil, poli et serviable.
Attention petit souci cependant avec la différence d'horaires d'ouverture de l'agence par rapport à l'horaire réservé sur le site (différence de 2h, ce qui n'est pas négligeable lorsqu'on a que 5 jours à passer dans un pays).

How bad can a camper and the communication to rental station be?
Here an unanswered Mail to Bunk -> Apollo Camper in Edinburgh:

Unfortunately, I'm still waiting for a response from you.
Nevertheless, I'm writing you this email to point out the defects the rented motorhome has had since we took it over on August 4th. These are the following:
Cabin door entry:
hangs downwards on the right, the lock at the bottom doesn't hook properly inside;
Exterior door catch defective;
Trash can wobbles and sits too low, making it difficult to close the door (a special screw is missing on the right side);
Exterior hatches:
all locks are very clunky and can only be opened/closed after several attempts; using WD40 has now made things a little easier. More common;
Fresh water tank cap defective, cannot be locked at all, the key broke off on the first attempt to unlock it;
Front bed guide rail, 1 screw missing;
Rear bed guide rail, 2 screws missing, and the bed wobbles heavily;
Water pump creaks very loudly when using hot water, and the wall under the sink vibrates heavily, even running for 5 seconds;
Sink drain is permanently clogged; constant use of a plunger (provided by the rental company) is necessary to empty the sink water;
Drawer under sink: sagging to one side;
Refrigerator on the inside right is rusted;
Headliner above the rear drop-down bed has many indentations;
Table on the bench has been wobbling heavily since Tuesday; fix the cause by repairing it myself;
Smoke detector: battery dead

Good service but be careful with one thing
We had a great time travelling across Ireland in our little campervan. Everyone was very responsive and helpful. Just make sure Bunk Campers don't owe you any money when you leave or get ready to be patient and ask for it repeatedly. Something was missing in our van's inventory when we picked it up at the beginning of our trip. I notified it to the assistance department and they told us to buy it and keep the receipt so they could refund us at dropoff. It took a month and a half after dropoff and a lot of emails to get my 9€ back. A bit disappointing since everything else went fine.

Everything was smooth sailing. Since I got the van till I dropped it off. I loved the van i stayed in and everyone was so friendly and helpful. i will recommend you guys to anyone and will definitely be back for another trip.

There were no real issues other than the heating and cooking needs to switch from LPG as it is very difficult to find any.

It started with not being able to pick up the camper on the first day of booking. Our flight in to Dublin arrived around 4 pm, the booking site asked for flight details but didn't flag that we would be outside their hours and would not be able to pickup until the next day. We asked for a refund for the night and were told no as they had not done anything wrong. The next morning we arrived at the allocated time but the van was not ready and it was nearly 1 1/2 hours until it was. Overall the van did not look very clean and as we just wanted to getting I only asked that the black mould in the fridge be cleaned. Later when we used the bathroom we realised that it had not been cleaned , there was urine in the grooves of the door and both drains were clogged with hair. There was also something smeared on the window sill. The kitchen sink made the cloth black when we cleaned it. There was no plug for the sink. There was no spanner for changing the gas bottle. One of the curtains was hanging on by one corner. The kitchen package was the bare basic and the quality crap, everything stuck to the pan and linen was old, washed out and one of the towels had a rip in it as did one of the sheets. There was no tea towel. The lid on the cooktop would not stay up by itself. The grey water pump turned itself on and off at will even with the switch turned off. We did contact the office regarding the state of the camper and were asked to fill out a form and someone would contact us. No one did. We asked for an extra day at the end of the rental which was for 3 weeks and were told that all vans were booked out. We asked for a late drop off, were told we could so we asked that that in an email which never came. This was our first time hiring a camper and it will probably be our late.
