Birkdale Garage Doors Omdömen 

I ordered an electric garage door which failed within one year I ask them to fix the problem, they have not after two and half years. This door heavy and unsafe and nearly landed on my disabled child I have no apologised and they have made no attempt to fix the problem I’ve talked to the team I’ve sent emails they are just not interested when something goes wrong with the fitting .I am a single parent who paid £1800 and will never get that money back. I will be making this a legal case to try get the money. I would Avoid this company just encase the door fails. It does say 5 years warranty of safe opening and closing but it obviously does not mean anything to them. I’ve had a heartless cold conversations with them AVOID

I have ordered garage door and front door in April. After a while when I have chased fitting dates team arrived to fit them.
When they did front door and tried garage door they have noticed that person who measured it before garage door were aprox 60 cm too wide.
The same day when my front was fitted I have noticed that has got letter box on the bottom which catalog door did not had letter box and I believed it will be without letterbox.
I have reported everything to the team.
After aprox a week front door couldn't not lock the door at all. Luckly we have back door through the garden and waiting for company to get back to me. No one got back to me. I was trying to call and call. At some point I have recived info that the panel for my front door will be replaced as I requested to be without letterbox. I have managed to speak with that lady and tell her about problem with locking. When tran arrived to replace panel they adjusted door and was able to work for another 2-3 hours then problem came back again. Tried to contact company again, no reply.
At some point I have got email to fit my garage door and let me know that they will fix my front door too. When team arrived to fit garage door has informed me that they are for garage door only.
I have sent email and called company again, no answer.
Luckly member of the garage team fitting had a look at front door and adjusted it. It has been done today and is working for the last couple of hours.
I hope it will as it should as to get in touch to this company is very difficult.
I do not recommend.

Door is not working, unable to contact the company since last month

Had side hinged doors fitted. Overall a decent job. Two nice lads fitted it. Outside looks great. Inside looks a bit untidy really. The brackets that hold the frame in place need covers and after letting it settle and letting the foam go off it could do with trimming to hide the foam. Other than that it a good job. The garage door itself is excellent quality. Drop me the trims off with some silicone and i will do it myself.

The sales team were very attentive and were timely with their survey and quote, they answered any questions I had almost straight away, and gave me an installation date within 2 weeks. On installation day the fitters forgot to bring my garage door, so they offered to come back the next day which was a Saturday. It was fitted.

4 weeks after installation the door wouldn’t close. As expected on a Friday at 8:30am I was panicked about leaving the house unlocked and wide open as I was doing the school run/getting to work. When I called the company I was told that the earliest anyone could get to me was Monday. I asked if I was expecting to leave my garage door open and my house unlocked all weekend as it wasn’t closing. I was told by the call handler that she was doing her best and she didn’t appreciate my tone.No further advice was offered.
The lady I spoked to said she could ask an engineer to call me but I’d need to be at home, as I was on my way to work she felt there was no point. I asked for one anyway.
When the engineer called he was really helpful. Asked for a photo and gave me tip on how to manually close it and that it would be secure. This is exactly the reassurance I needed.

The Monday came! I had no communication about them coming to fix the door. I called again. They denied any knowledge of them coming to fix the door. At that point they booked an engineer to come and fix the door.

As an FYI to anyone trying to call the “technical repair and fault team” they didn’t answer that line even once when I called the “sales team” line they answered straight away.

Eventually they fixed my garage door 2 weeks after it was broken. 1 week later when I used it, it was broken again.

Of the 8 weeks the door has been installed it was worked for 4. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.

We replaced our very old up and over garage door woth a roller garage door with Birkdale and the whole process was very smooth. The surveyor Rob arrived on time and was very helpful talking me through the process and what was needed including the option to replace the old wood panels above the door. He was also able to match the garage door colour to our front door. The quote was given there and then and followed up by email with the full breakdown.

The fitters arrived promptly on the agreed day several weeks later. They worked efficiently and were very friendly. The finished product looks amazing. I would definitely recommend Birkdale.

Roberto was the first contact and was excellent. The quote was detailed and we expected to have the work carried out as detailed. This did not happen the fitter insisted that the new brackets did not need to be fitted and the new seal was not placed in the correct place. It took a few missed appointments but we have now had the brackets fitted and the seal replaced. This took from 28th April - 7th May 2026.What a shame that the instructions laid out in full was not followed but hands up to Roberto thank you.

Had our garage door fitted a few years ago, a black one. But a lot of it has worn off now and you can see the white coming through, so looks like I'll have to do some research on getting it sprayed, not happy 😡👎

We decided we needed to renew our garage door and picked Birkdale Doors out of the selection that we had.The surveyor came,on time ! We had a brief,on site,discussion & chose our door & colour.We were given a date for fitting & the price.The fitters arrived,on the day,removed the old & fitted the new with the agreed facias.The crew were outstanding & polite.The fitting was done to a very high standard and all in all a quality job was done.Will have no hesitation to use again if needed & would certainly recommend to anyone looking for the same.Well done Birkdale & thank you to all.Cheers Martin Fox 👍

Superb service. The install team were excellent and resolved the challenges presented by the installation (old buildings) in a professional manner. The fully completed job looks and works brilliant. 5 stars nothing less! I have had a great experience with Birkdale since contacting them, there team has been nothing but helpful and thorough.. my go to guy was Rob, and some bloke Rob is. I was unsure of what door I wanted/ needed and to be honest unsure why birkdale but after a few phone calls and emails I was fully aware of what product I wanted/ needed. Anyroad, 2 maybe 3 weeks later I.e this morning a team of 2 blokes turned up at the property on time, professional and friendly. The install went swimmingly. Props to the 2 blokes from sunny scunny 👍🏼

Whilst it was a couple of weeks wait for the survey to be completed (Christmas break), the service from Birkdale Garage Doors from start to finish can't be faulted. The surveyor (Hayden) phoned on the day to advise ETA and was extremely efficient and helpful. We placed an order there and then and the door was put into manufacture and fitting arranged for the next week. The fitting team arrived a little later than expected on the day but worked hard to finish the job to a high standard.

The experience from surveyor to installation was excellent. I can’t speak highly enough of this company total professionals at a very reasonable price. 10/10.

5 Star service from start to finish. From initial enquiry, to superb fitting of my 12ft x 7ft electrical roller shutter door by Sol & Ryan, who had already covered most of the Northwest that day, and worked until 8.45pm to finish the job, before driving back to Scunthorpe! Absolutely top notch service and a fantastic price. Highly recommend Birkdale Garage doors.

1st class from beginning to the end. Very friendly and efficient office management/ordering. More than prepared “to go the extra mile” to give great value and service. Topped off by 1st class fitting service fulfilled by two excellent young fellows who were very efficient and really cared about doing a great job. The attention to detail was impressive.

I recieved 4 quotes and chose Birkdale on reviews, price point and British made product, worth the wait. The Installation, removal and minor remedial work all carried out professionally. I spent a lot of time checking out companies to fit a new garage roller door after having a really bad experience with a Garolla door. I came across Birkdale from an internet search and liked their reviews so I asked for a quote. The sales team, Rob and Clare were very quick to respond and organise a free site assessment. Rob gave me some good advice and I agreed to them fitting my new roller door. Three weeks later Chris and Alex turned up and did an excellent job fitting the new door - very professional and attentive to detail - thanks guys. The best is the door works well and looks fantastic. Highly recommended. :-)
