The worst customer service I have ever…
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been having problems with our alarm system and trying to communicate with API for over two months to no avail. Never ending hold times, and no reply to Voicemail messages and online form report. Feel trapped.
No support - Hawfull client service
I am not able to get support. My service is out of order since Novwember 5 2025 I did not receive a call for an appointment. They just put my service out as my panel was saboted. No one is answering.

Its funny you have to put the "date of experience" - how do you do this if Api NEVER answered you???
How is it I can get an actual personal and decent HUMAN response from Fluent (a Becky Foster) to each of my emails, but zero in 2 months from Api except automated excuses??? No return calls, nothing. Actually they did answer the phone once, but they quickly hung up on me and didn't call back. If youre stuck with api do what they do to you, stop helping them and ignore them. Dont give them money or time. Api if youre going to take on a ton of customers maybe be prepared to help them, or hire Becky to teach your customer service people a few lessons.
Talk to you never, API. Stay away folks.

No support from the technical desk and CS desk. Unable to connect with them and long long wat times with no responses. VM's are not returned. How is this compnay conducting business in this day and age??

Not even one star. Since November 9 our system has not worked since api took over from Bell. We cannot access our system. We have called the 800 number numerous times and emailed also number of times and no-one has returned our calls. I wish to cancel our service with you as of November 9th.
They deserve zero stars
They deserve zero stars. It’s the same complaints over and over…no customer service, no one answers the phone or calls back. You will be left for days, even weeks with a security system that doesn’t have all the components working, and/or wondering if you will actually get the emergency help you need when you need it. According to the monitoring station the service department is “backlogged,” probably because management keeps purchasing customers from other companies and cannot handle the customer load. This has been a problem for no less than 6 months. You might as well flush your money down the toilet. Don’t count on being treated as a valued customer, to management you’re just a number with dollar signs.

Bell sold there home service to API.I was told in an email that the rate was going to remain the same.It did not I went from 22.98/mth to 34.48.I sent an email October 9th,we are now Nov 23,still no reply.
I have had to reach out to tech support twice as I have a pendant for my husband, he is a quadriplegic I need a service of some kind.I waited 45 minutes on hold, the agent was polite helpful and apologetic for the wait. Rather than pay 125 for a chance of battery he said he would have someone from the dept call well by the second time I had to call tech support to walk me through it. I still have not received that help that I was guaranteed.The second time I called tech dept again I waited for over 30 minutes.This time I took the time to ask the agent what was going on why the delays why no response on email.It was explained to me that they only brought over 1 person from Bell and they do not have the staff for the volume that they are receiving.It would appear that Mr Howard Garr, CEO &Chairman of the board is not interested in the clients rather his bottom line.When you have so many disgruntled clients, I would say this needs attention, as clients no one should feel this frustrated being a client of a very necessary service for some. I will be cancelling my account with them, as of today.If as one of the reviews said a wait of over 10 months to have account closed and was still charged is appalling.

it is the most useless customer service. They put you on hold or transfer to a dept. they know it is closed in the evening and the weekend. If you have a technical issue or need to talk to customer service and you could be on hold for hours, not knowing they are closed. useless company.

Can I give zero stars? Stay away! This company bought Bell Alarm and basically ghosted all the customers. No one replies to emails or phone calls - literally you get a message that says "voice mail box is full" when you try to reach tech support. terrible

If I could give one star, I would. API bought out Bell Smart Home and that sent my devices into haywire. I’m completely disgusted. No one answers the phone. You just get left on hold forever. No one answers email. No one responds to messages via the website. They should be ashamed.

I’m very disappointed with the customer service at API Alarm. I was recently overcharged and have been trying for over a month to reach someone — calling multiple times and sending several emails — but no one ever responds. This company took over my alarm monitoring from Bell, and if they can’t even answer phone calls or emails, how can I trust them to respond in the event of an emergency at my home? I’ve requested a refund and cancellation of services but have yet to receive any response. Very unprofessional and frustrating experience.

My services with bell maison intelligente had been transfered to them and then I don't have the services and they took the money from me I can't find anyone to talk to about the services that I don'have and for wich I paid. It's a very bad company
System doesn’t work and no technical support.
I had Bell alarm and the system worked very well. It was sold to API and since then the sensors have been going off line and back on line several times per day and I get more than 20 emails per day. Cannot get through to technical support (voicemail is full) no one answers any of the lines that I have tried and I am sure that there is no actual monitoring going on. Worst company I have ever dealt with

Does not care about disability issues and I personally do not trust their services.

I had Bell Security for 15 years, including its predecessor. Alarm Force. I was very happy with the service.
Bell sold the security business to API.
I took forever to reach a 'live' API rep to reschedule a tech visit. A technician arrived at the original date and time anyway.

Keep sending me.invoices despite not living at the address for nearly a year, noone replies to emails, calls or cancellation requests! Sends threats of collections but doesn't respond in proper channels. Manji at receivables finally reached out to me after 10 months of chasing the company, promised my alarm would be cancelled then I get another invoice and collection threat a week later! Horrible company
