I’m been trying to contact them for 2 months to revisit my service billing. Multiple phones calls and emails and unable to speak to anyone. Terrible service, and unfortunate part is that before this experience, I was open to maintaining my service. Now, not a chance.

My complaint is just like the others. Bell was bad but API is worse. I've been trying to contact them since October 2025 but can't speak to anyone. My security system is not working any more and I need customer support, but it's non-existant. I have had a broken ssytem for months. Ive stopped paying for their service and will wait until some one calls me to discuss going forward. If they don't help me, I will take next steps.

After calling and leaving messages for 10 days. Finally got a hold of someone to cancel my service. Sent the email as required and heard nothing back. Multiple follow up emails and nothing. They then proceed to keep my service active and take another payment out. This company is completely untrustworthy. Stay away from them and if you need security buy your own equipment.

I have been trying to contact api alarm since Nov 2025 to cancel service. Several phone calls, no answer left voicemails, several emails sent and still no response. I decided to contact the bb. They contacted api alarm on my behalf. API sends an email to the bbb saying my service would be disconnected and my bill would be retroactive to November. It is now jam 25,2026. I just received a new bill for Jan and I still have service. This is the most useless company I’ve ever dealt with. Save your money, time and energy and don’t deal with these incompetent employees. Maybe it’s time to get someone else involved to get these matters rest, maybe news outlets or the fifth estate, someone like that

I was with bell and everything was great. Now bell has sold the customers to API alarm system and its honestly the worst experience I have ever had from ANY type of company. We are dealing with SECURITY and alarm systems, and these people treat you worst than anything you have ever thought legal from a company. I don’t even know how a company this bad is still in business.
It took over 1 month for someone to answer, or call back.
Now once that’s done, forget ever talking to them again.
I installed additional cameras to my system and nothing works, and on top of it, the recorder I bought from them is already dead after 4 months.
Now after numerous emails, calls, voicemails, they are ghosting me once again.
They are to be avoided at all costs, this is literally the worst but WORST customer service, or company I have ever dealt with.
I am currently stuck with numerous cameras that I cannot plug into their system, with a recorder that doesn’t work, on top of them telling you incredible lies and excuses on top of excuses.
The price was good with bell, now its the biggest joke I have seen.
Will be cancelling this unrealible scam of a company, will take a 4k loss, after only 4 months, and move on.
I just cannot understand how a security company is this not realible… we are not dealing with buying a pack of gum here or a pair of shoes, we are talking about security for your business or home, which nothing is more important and should be took seriously.
If you guys thought about signing with these clowns, do not waste your time, and If you are still with them, make yourself a favor and cancel.

I would give zero stars!!!!! My alarm has gone off and no one called and no one came. Thankfully it was me who set it off by accident otherwise I would have been robbed blind. I have been trying to cancel for two weeks. I have sent emails, called with no answer, left several voicemails and no one is calling me back! Customer service is atrocious and they don’t even provide the service. I have a couple of bills to pay because I never got notified of or sent the bills so didn’t realize there was one unpaid. This is the most ridiculous situation I’ve ever seen. I can’t even understand how they’re allowed to operate they should be shut down!

Alarm system stopped working all of a sudden and it took multiple days and multiple hours on hold with customer service to speak to a live representative. The reps were still unable to resolve the issue over the phone and scheduled a technician on site.
The technician evaluated and informed me my panel was supposed to have been upgraded a while ago.
He was going to submit his report and I should expect a call back.
Over a week passes with no communication or update, we are left in the dark without a ticket or reference number.
Had to call back to demand an update and only then it was escalated.
A sales person called me back to discuss upgrade options and contract renewal and offered to refund me for the several months my system was not working.
I decided not to renew for the upcoming year so not surprising, I never heard from the sales guys again regarding the refund for the months my system was non functional.
At this point I’m just relieved I no longer have to deal with them.
Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy wasting your time and paying for a service that doesn’t work.

This company is a scam and fraud. There is no customer service, and they just want the money from us
API alarms bought the contract I had…
API alarms bought the contract I had with Bell Maison. I did not renew my contract and they assured no more charges would be made to my credit card. But they continue to charge the service I don’t have and I did not renew.
It took them 40 minutes to answer my phone call. Now it’s been 48 minutes more on hold waiting for Dana to come back to me. Total one hour 28 minutes.
It’s frustrating.
