After going backwards and forwards with Acmer over my 24/48 watt laser module which is unusable due to the focal lens shattering. I am extremely disappointed that Acmer are telling me I need a new module, mine is less than 1 year old and has hardly been used.
Apparently it is 6 month warranty, so if your laser does not work after 6 month you need to shell £500 pounds out for a new one.
In my opinion this is very unfair, where do these people think we have £500 spare.
I am now stuck with an unusable
laser engraver with extension and a rotary.

I wanted something reliable, beginner‑friendly, and capable of producing results that didn’t look like they’d been drawn by a toddler with a magnifying glass.

But after two beers and a moment of bravery, I clicked “Buy Now” on the Acmer S1 Mini 6W. And honestly, it might be the best tipsy decision I’ve ever made.

Unboxing & First Impressions
The first surprise was the size. The S1 Mini is tiny. Not “toy” tiny — more “this actually fits on my desk without rearranging my entire life” tiny. It’s lightweight too, which makes it easy to move around or store when not in use. For anyone working in a small space, this is a massive win.

Acmer clearly designed this machine with beginners in mind. The frame is simple, the laser module slides neatly onto the bracket, and the cables are labelled and straightforward. No fiddly assembly. No swearing. No YouTube rabbit holes. Just a clean, sensible design that gets you from box to engraving in minutes.

To protect my table, I screwed a 3D‑printed bracket onto a bit of scrap wood, placed the laser on top, plugged in the cable, and that was basically the entire setup. Coming from 3D printers that require a degree in mechanical engineering, this was bliss.

Setup & Software
The manual recommends LightBurn, and as someone who had never touched laser software before, I found it surprisingly intuitive. I connected via USB, installed LightBurn, and within 20 minutes I was engraving slate coasters and metal bottle openers like I’d been doing it for years.

Acmer also provides their own software, but LightBurn is the industry standard — and the S1 Mini works perfectly with it.

The manual includes preset settings for different materials: slate, wood, leather, stainless steel marking, acrylic, and more. And unlike many “starter” machines, these presets actually work. The Acmer S1 Mini 6W is a brilliant entry-level laser engraver. It’s easy to set up, easy to use, and produces results that look far more “professional” than you’d expect from a small diode machine. For beginners, hobbyists, or anyone wanting a reliable desk-friendly engraver, it’s a fantastic choice.

Honestly they have some of the best customer service I have ever dealt with, I've only had one issue with my product (Acmer S1, 10W beginner laser cutter and engraver) which I bought through the official Amazon shop, where after 7 months the main wire became faulty to the point it wouldn't work as the laser head ran its path.

I contacted customer service and they asked me to send videos of the fault to an email the amazon customer service team sent me.

After a few emails back and forth, and even though my machine was past the 3 month warranty, they sent me a replacement wire at no cost to myself.

Fitting the replacement wire was also very straight forward, unscrew a few things here, carefully remove some glue and attatch the connectors before rescrewing the parts back where they should go.

As a new starter to laser cutting and engraving I have been very impressed with this company and product and I would be more than happy to trust them in the future when I buy attatchments for the current laser I have and upgrade to a larger one once I've got more experience with this one.

And to the person and people I have dealt with they've been a huge help and are a credit to the company, they made everything easy and even followed up to make sure that everything was going well, so a big thank you to them for all the support.

I have the Acemer S2 Pro 48 Watt. It is an upgrade from a previous laser of another manufacture. The first thing I noticed was the quality and sturdiness of the frame. "It is a beast." The second thing is being able to move from normal to precise modes with a flip of a switch. Thirdly customer service has been great. I have contacted them twice on questions i had on assembling the unit. Both times response was quick with a video and written reply

Acmer p3 48/24w is my first engraver - I am very satisfied with it. It is a robust, fast, very powerful machine. I just had a problem with the switch on the laser head and support immediately sent me a replacement part under warranty.

Mi primer maquina laser fue una ACMER S2 de 7W, la compre en Mercado Libre en mi país (MÉXICO), y todo bien, por lo que este año decidí comprar otra ACMER S2 de 36W directamente en ACMERLASER
COM tardo un poco el envío pero es lógico por la distancia, pero valió la pena, ya trabajo más rápido, estoy pensando cual será mi siguiente equipo

Но всегда хотелось мыть более мобильным в своих реализациях. И Вот подготовив место для установки своего оборудования я сделал главный шаг - заказал станок Acmer P2 10W!
Почему Acmer? Я перед этим долго изучал тему, советовался со знающими друзьями, смотрел обзоры в интернете и... пришел к выводу, что по соотношению качества, точности и возможности это хорошая марка и достаточно обширная картотека прикладного оборудования - своего рода экосистема от Acmer!
О чем я сейчас? О какой экосистеме? Поработав пару месяцев на P2 10W я понял, что в некоторых задачах мне не хватает мощности! Вперед! Купил дополнительный модуль на 33W! Теперь появилась гибкость и в зависимости от материала и требуемой точности, можно было играться сменой блока лазера для ускорения в получении конечного результата, или для более тонкой работы с 10W модулем...
Купил поворотный механизм, и появилась возможность работвть с бутылками или круглыми деревянными предметами...
В общем я доволен!
На сегодняшний день я имею полугодичный опыт работы с различным оборудованием и переферийными устройствами под брендом Acmer, и я рекомендую это оборудования как простое, и надежное!

It is indeed a very good machine and I'm very happy with it.

I just had a small problem this year with a return pulley. I contacted customer service, who responded very quickly, and they found a solution to my problem very soon. I will therefore receive the damaged part at my home very soon.
