Excellent Service! Gideon - Meadowhall

Gideon at Meadowhall was really lovely giving us his time and service even though we were not actually making a purchase. We enquired about replacing the nose pads on some sunglasses and this was done for us then and there. When we tried to pay we were delighted to find this was a free service! I don't know if this is standard across similar stores, but we were so caught off guard. We will definitely return to Optical Express when we next need glasses! Thanks to Gideon and the team at Meadowhall - Saturday 21 March 2026. Please pass on our appreciation!

It arrived marked and scuffed

It arrived damaged, the outer packaging was great, so it was clearly like this at the point of being packed. I don't know if it came from the shop floor or the warehouse, but it has multiple marks and scuffs. I've ordered a replacement that I'm still waiting for. This happened with my last order too and I can't sort it in store which adds more frustration.

Great Service

Fast delivery, care with packaging. There was a lovely little note explaining that my smaller items had been moved to a safer spot inside one of the model's boxes. I really appreciated this extra attention to detail. Now I just need someone to help me build!!

Great Online Retailer

Great communication throughout the order, whilst awaiting delivery. Protective packaging. I didn't need customer service. This is my second order from SciFier, so when the time comes I won't hesitate to order again.

Never Again!

I ordered a lovely dressing gown, I received a 'make your own dressing gown' kit... Seriously though, four holes in the arm seams! Sewing all over was rough as guts. Comms was terrible. After weeks of being ignored and/or receiving boiler plate responses I decided to settle for the 25% refund offered (this was only offered after I sent a very pedantic message asking they actually read my message and not send me returns info again). But in order to actually get that refund I had to resort to mail-bombing them (I just made up that term) basically I sent them the same message everyday on messenger until they cracked and issued the refund which just came through. I could have just returned it, but despite the terrible lack of quality control, this was the only dressing gown that met my spec (also after all the reviews I read I wasn't sure if I'd ever receive the full refund!!). So after several weeks I have a lovely dressing gown that I practically sewed myself. I got a partial refund of 25%, I lost many hours of my life, I learnt that the once swanky LTS was purchased by Yours Clothing Ltd and the quality went downhill from there. I also learnt, from a lot of other reviews, that I'm very lucky to have only had to deal with sewing and the chasing of a partial refund. Finally I learnt that although I really do love my hard won dressing gown - I will never shop with LTS again.
