I had a very rocky start to service.
It seems that all technicians are not equal. Finally I got the Perfect representative. Joe, my favorite Joe. He figured out that the order was wrong for me, called his supervisor, changed to what I needed and got it done. He even offered me enhancements and set me up with a Tailgator. If the first 2 techs would have taken the time to help me appropriately, I would not have had such a traumatic time. Thank you yet again, Joe. To me you are special.
I was very pleased with the effort and profesionalism installing dish network.
We called direct tv and were very dissapointed in lack of interest as well as the service technition.. That dissapointed in fact we asked them to leave and called Dish and the exact opposite happened.. long story straight , we are watching tv now and i wish we would have called use first ! ourcabin is somewhat in a remote area of PA. This tech was very experienced and solved our reception problems with ease and experance and most importantly in a timely manner.
Horrible!
We have never had worse service ever. Dish network should be ashamed by sending out an unqualified service technician that spent 3 hours and left a complete unfinished mess. Holes drilled half way through walls, tools left in the yard, no service. Yet dish was informed we had activated service. Horrible horrible dealings trying to get people to understand we had no service yet you had our money! Finally a technician came to our home and spent over 4 hours repairing and installation of the dish. We will never use your service again, nor recommend you. Shame on dish network
It cost a lot just get started.
The rep was very nice, honest, and helpful but in the end I forked out a lot of money when I was told installation was free and hopper was free but I ended up paying over $100 which made no sense. The fees are ridiculous. Then 15 days later I have to pay my bill, that's more money. UGH

I'm not even scheduled for installation until December 1, 2015. Asking me to review a serice I haven't received yet is a bit disconcerting. I hope this is not a sign of what's to come.
Just receive Dish
I just had Dish installed. People were great. On time and very helpful, only had it 3 days. So far so good. Picture is good & everything seems well. Easy to understand.

Switched from DirecTV to dish TV after many years because I got tired of the prices going up on a regular basis and terrible customer service from DirecTV. So far, dish customer service had been excellent. Installation techs were very knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant. Following installation the customer service has been good. When I call, I get an answer immediately. My only complaint is - when we were watching an on demand movie, it kept pausing and giving us a message that "the event is currently downloading. Your receiver will resume when the download is complete." We couldn't watch the movie!!!
No comparison
There is almost to many things to watch....! All Chanel's are clearer than cable including HD that seems even sharper.. We never had or even seen satilite TV so we were very surprised and my cable bill just got cut in half. Combined with RCN internet that is also faster and cheaper.
Our installer was great !
Downtown Donuts is in a unique spot in a historic building our installer was very careful and considerate of the uniqueness of the building and placement of the dish location. He was patient with instructions and showed me how to use the remote and did not leave until I knew how to use it. We have been a cable subscriber for years, now I wonder why DISH so much more affordable.

The Installer was very nice and and explained everything
The Installer was training a new employee and the trainee was not much help with the install, even with that he continued and finish the job in a timely manner and was very professional.

one question how can we keep the TV on with out the TV going into sleep mode.

Disappointed
I paid $150.59 for service and I had to cancel because the house I was moving into wasn't ready in time and they told me I only paid $110.59 so I lost $40.00. I was very mad I wasted my money. The issue isn't the money the games and lies this company played is the issue

I am very upset with DIsh
I ordered DIsh and had to pay a $49.99 fee (charged to my credit card) to establish this account. DIsh could not provide the service due to obstructions. I was assured I would not be charged this fee if they couldn't connect it , but today I got my bill and there was a charge for $49.99.
There is no phone number to call on my bill so I called Dish customer service who informed me it must be the retailer who signed me up that charged me this amount. There was no retailer, I went directly thru them.
I am disputing the charge with credit card company but I am appalled at how they do business
