Water off due to road works.
Our water supply was broken by road works outside our house. Once notified, UU acted swiftly to remedy the problem and supplied us with some bottled water. Communications were good by text and email.

Waste of time really
I went in WhatsApp to complain that the guys fixing the pavement had left a mess including cement or whatever they were using under my front gate which I could live with however my car was sprayed with it I was told an assistant would come on soon I waited an hour I needed to eat so said I’d waited an hour when I’d eaten I went back said I’m back if anyone there kept checking but got no response

Phone delay in answering tempted me to give a lower score but once the call was answered the member of staff was excellent and booked in a visit from an engineer (Mike) who turned up on time and was really helpful and gave useful advice to avoid future problems with supply.

United Utilities - Disgraceful service and fraudulent processes
United Utilities created an account fraudulently by searching the credit agencies list and attaching my name to my previous address. Having moved out in November 25, they failed to attach the account to the landlady (homeowner) and charged me for 1 month 6 moths after I had left.
When challenged, the first agent (the extremely rude Adam) not only laughed at me during my recount, but then terminated the call because he did not know what he was doing, or how to answer simple questions regarding why they had not persued the landlady.
I was then passed to an Alex after calling back, who was even more obnoxious in his attitude, claiming that they "are allowed to do this proactively when we cannot find anyone to attach the bill to". Again, when challenged, he refused acknowledge any wrongdoing by United utilities, and just blundered on about requiring proof.
Within 5 minutes of me outlining that what they had done was essentially fraud, I received another call (from Alex) stating that his manageer had "made a decision to cancel everything and erase the accoutn (covering all of their tracks in the process no doubt).
This whole thing was handled so rudely, and with zero professionalism that as a company, I have absolutely no faith in them whatsoever.
