The best fillet steaks ever!
My husband is American and knows a thing or two about steaks. The ones we had for New Year were fabulous in all respects. They melted in the mouth and the flavour was wonderful! So we are now on our third order of meats and other items from this amazing company. Yes, you pay bit more but to get first class products and great customer service and delivery it is worth it. Either for Christmas, special celebrations or just a lovely treat. You will not be disappointed!

the meat is generally delicious, you can definitely tell the difference. Delivery always on time and as ordered.
Some of it is quite fatty would be my only gripe - but I cannot digest fat so that maybe just me! The rib of beef was awesome, chicken defo better than shop bought. I find it handy to get an order and fill my freezer and then see what we feel like week by week.

We'd planned a special roast lunch for NewYear's Day and had bought a beef joint from The Dorset Meat Company. We had great expectations of this special piece of meat.
Alas, we were to be very disappointed. The meat was extremely difficult to even carve and subsequently found to be inedible.
Rather than just storm off and write a bad review I decided to email the Company to explain and give them a chance to offer a reply and so I put together a polite 350 word email fully expecting an expansive reply containing astonishment and/or plausible explanations. After all: how could such a wonderfully hyped-up product fall so far below our expectations?
I would be disappointed again. The reply came back consisting of only 20 relevant words expressing no astonishment or even surprise. It was to the point, apologetic and immediately offering a full refund. Such a reaction coupled with such a short response gave me the impression that this situation was; to some degree; the 'norm' for this Company.
After some research I discovered that ours wasn't an isolated case and I began to form the opinion that this company's business model was based on an
"Acceptable % of loss" principle.
If you fall into the dissatisfied customer % it's entirely bad luck, not a result of a lapse in quality control. Indeed quality control seems to be out of their hands but so long as only a certain % of customers experience dissatisfaction it's acceptable to this company and year-end profits won't be too adversely affected.
So, based on my experience of this company and in my humble opinion, buying from them is a gamble not the sure thing that's advertised.
Will we be gambling our special meal and our money with them ever again? Absolutely NOT. Yes we've had a refund but that's hardly the point here.
I would have loved to have been singing the praises of this company with a 5-star review but instead it's a 1-star review and that's for the good packaging and delivery on the appointed day.

I have been ordering chicken and beef from The Dorset Meat Company (haven't tried other types of meat yet) for 8 months and have always found everything to be fresh and good quality, even in Summer. I like that it is pasture fed and anti-biotic free. The texture of the meat is different, even the chicken skin. Wouldn't go back to super market meat after this.

Excellent customer service. Efficient, helpful and friendly. And very high-quality meat. We had a rib of beef for Christmas dinner which was absolutely delicious.

I love knowing that the meat is traceable, the lamb we had at Christmas was just amazing.

My subscription consists of chicken, bacon and salmon. One chicken breast will feed 2 people as it’s pure meat and doesn’t shrink to nothing! The salmon melts in your mouth and you can taste the freshness.

The turkey quality and the beef and cheese is so good it’s hard to describe, this is the second year buying from the Dorset meat company and we will not be going to any other supplier, excellent service, top quality food and delivered on time
