Chris Sexton was a brilliant help when it came to figuring out a vehicle that is not only practical, but also within budget and did not push out of boundaries. Purchasing the car
Purchasing the car - Service was great. But from there it all went down hill.
firstly i was miss sold a Electric car charger when i purchase my car which I will give it to the company they did own this and offered to pay me the cost of the charger that they had to pay upfront (keeping it short and simple) but after months of chasing it took 4 managers and multiple lies to finally get the money.
at no point was my complaint taken seriously. i'm still waiting for a response from management and senior managerment about why they think this service is acceptable and why I had to do all the chasing, all the phone calls and all the emails.
being told multiple times only 1 manager can deal with the refund is a load of rubbish. the day i finally got the money was when i spoke to 1 manager called Rooney who I quote " its not your fault so you shouldnt have to wait" - I couldnt agree more! I had the money within 24 hours.
everyeone else ignored me. my emails. my call back requests. I very nearly went back to the shop to return the car. if this is how you treat customers after... I would hate to see how you treat a customer who has a warrenty issue!
I'm now looking for a new car for my partner and I would highly recomend for anyone to avoid this company. trust me if anything goes wrong its easier to just pull your hair out.

Decent staff let down by poor senior management.
I wanted to give this 5* based on the ability for the staff at the service centre to deal with the insane amount of work they have while understaffed. They remained courteous and professional throughout my time dealing with them and I can't praise them enough.
I wanted to give this 1* based on the time it took to get a quote through due to the staff being overwhelmed and also being phoned up on the Friday saying my car was at risk of needing to be in all weekend! There were staff shortages potentially meaning my car would need to be in over the weekend as they likely couldn't deal with it on the day!
Somewhere in the middle is probably a fair balance taking these both into consideration.
As someone who had used Car Shop before and now Sytner for the best part of a decade it's a shame to see how the company is a shell of it's former self.
Reduced opening times (the service centre is no longer open on the weekend). Forced to go through annoying auto attendants or getting WhatsApp links to my phone (yeah this doesn't work if calling from teams). A lack of staff cover meaning they are running at the bare bones so someone phoning in sick causes massive issues.
I can't speak highly enough of the front line staff at Sytner in the Service Centre. The big wigs and processes they have put in place that are obviously aimed at cost cutting since the shop was renamed on the other hand needs some serious work to improve.
Your service desk staff turned a really crappy situation into one where I'm willing to give you another chance in 12 months time when my car is back up for service. I imagine for new customers this sort of experience would make them not want to come back ever.
Instead of a generic AI generated response I look forward to seeing how you will address the issues with a lack of available staff in the service centre.
Look after your staff. They deserve better.
