SCAM COMPANY - trying to be ROYAL MAIL. My mum received an email today saying unable to deliver item from Smart Gift Solutions and she needs to pay for redelivery. At first fort ok someone has ordered her a gift as her birthday is in 2 weeks but fort was iffy the tracking number wouldn’t load - don’t click any links, if it was legit Royal Mail would leave a red card thru the door!!

I have not bought anything from this seller but received an email telling me to pay for an item they couldn't deliver to me today, even though I was home all day and no red card has come through my letter box. Must be a scam!!

Also received an email asking for payment for redelivery. Even has a link to down load real Royal Mail all, but definitely a clever scam

Do not order anything from this company. I ordered a personalised mug for a birthday present. It arrived broken and even though I've contacted them, I've heard nothing back all. I want my money back but no one has been in touch. I then had a 'feedback' email. Again I've told them the problem and that I wouldn't buy from them again or recommend them. Still nothing, makes me wonder if anyone actually works for this company.

Please save your money, I have a very bad experience with them. Advertised some products (with pictures and text) but sent completely different ones, lower quality included (I.e. ordered luxury bath robe which is pictured as a fluffy white spa-like robe and sent a cheap see-through waffle robe). Very unprofessional when trying to speak with them and find a solution. They ruined a birthday present by sending completely different items and then they are expecting us to pay to send the wrong and damaged goods back. Worst experience ever with a gift shop: wrong items, damaged goods, awful customer support experience for me, lost money and found myself in this awkward position for sending this mess as a gift.
Read all the reviews before ordering, so many bad experiences with them, wish I have made more research before trusting them.
They aren't allowing negative feedback on their website. I have screenshots showing I submitted a review and days later is not appearing. But meantime 5 starst reviews altered allowed all over the website.

This shop has NOTHING to do with the phishing emails that have been going around.

I just received the same fake RM email that everyone else is getting. The scammers are using this companies name because it is a legit company, that is all.
They could have picked any legit company, it just happens that these poor sods are the one they picked.

Smart Gifts did not send you the emails, just some scumbag who wants your money and doesn't care if they ruin the good name of a legit company.

Please use a little common sense before flooding this companies Trustpilot ratings with 1 star reviews and calling them scammers.
You are damaging this company and they have done nothing wrong, they are as much victims in this as you, in fact more so as most of us knew this was a fake email and these poor sods have no idea what is going on.

I hope this business contacts TP to get this resolved, they really do not deserve all this.

just had a email fromroyal mail about smartgiftsolutions, saying i had to pay for a delivery. The email did look genuine

1) never heard of this company
2) checked tracking number on royalmail site, didn't match
3) rm would post a card through my letterbox

you will have to do better than this to catch me out, unfortunately someone will be caught out

received an email from "Royal mail" claiming my parcel could not be delivered...email looked official and my husbands birthday was pending so i thought someone may be having something delivered for him!
seemed a little strange that we would have to pay extra to have it redelivered so i logged onto Royal mail (not from the link) and suprise suprise no tracking number known!!!
please be extra cautious as the email looked VERY real but it is clearly a scam.

SCAM …. Please be aware if you receive an Email for Royal Mail stating you need to pay a fee for your parcel from Smart Gift Solutions, DO NOT PAY.

Scam email just like others on here. The way to check, look at the sender's email address, that's dodgy. If you're still unsure Google royal mail tracking and put the tracking number from your email in, it comes up invalid. Plus the fact I've not ordered from this place. Desperado's !!!!

If you receive an e-mail making out it is the Post Office and saying they couldn't deliver a parcel until you pay them; this is a scam. Just delete the e-mail and do not under any circumstance pay on-line. You will never see the parcel they supposedly could deliver, or your money.

Come on guys. We should all know who / what we've ordered. A quick check of your bank, Amazon, eBay, etc accounts will soon remind you if you don't.
Post office will always put a card through your letter box with a reference number if you need to make a postage cost payment, never an email.

Our experience is the same as Glenn's - also today 8th March 2023. Royal Mail genuinely left a grey card today with details of how a parcel couldn't be delivered because "the sender didn't pay the full postage.' There were details of how to pay the £2.50 owed either online or in person at the Royal Mail Delivery Office locally. But later today my husband got an email which looked as if it came from Royal Mail. When you hover the mouse over the sender, which says Royal Mail the words Royal Mail go blue but when you hover over the blue words the sender comes up as the following: no reply followed by these letters and numbers (G6NOHCFL4V) @royalmail dot com. My husband actually went through the process, put in all the necessary credit card details and got a message saying the parcel's new delivery date is Monday. Because he's a bit OCD about keeping our bank records he checked the banking app and this payment didn't come up as pending. Then he began to think to himself, "I don't remember actually buying anything from Smart Gift Solutions, as detailed in the email, supposedly from Royal Mail. So he immediately suspected he'd been scammed and cancelled the card.

email looked genuine at first as was expecting a delivery on the day stated, that parcel could not be delivered and required a payment with a reschedule link that didn't work. On closer inspection, i didn't order the item from Smart Gift Solutions and the email sender had a series of alphanumeric characters before royalmail.com - best to stay away from this one

As many others appear to have, I received a credible-looking email, supposedly from Royal Mail, saying that they had failed to deliver a parcel from Smart Gift Solutions and that I had to pay for redelivery. I had not ordered anything. Checked the shop website and rang, only to get a recorded voice that appeared to be somebody ringing to enquire about their products. Bizarre.

Same scam email from Royal Mail. It is the best one I have recieved as has all the correct information and the look of a Royal Mail email. Wouldnt be surprised if a substantial number of people have fallen foul of this one. If smart gifts are a genuine company then I feel sorry for them as they will be feeling the impact of this and if not shame on the scammers. My friend often sends surprise gifts to me so had to check to make sure it wasn't genuine.
