Great job

Joana and the team did a great job keeping me informed every step of the way and answering any concerns I had in a timely and reassuring manner. Very reassuring when one is relocating and shipping their possessions to another country!

It has been easy and cheap to use…

It has been easy and cheap to use Sherpr’s service. The informations on the website are practical and the service efficient with a live chat service for every specific question.
I’d also like to mention that Sherpr helped me through the clearance process of my luggage’s, keeping me posted of every time.
I’d like to specifically mention and thank Marie, who helped throughout the whole process and answered every questions I had.

Bad experience. Scam company

I had a terrible experience with this company and I would not recommend at all and would advise against using them for international shipping. I was returning home from the UK and they started off by offering a reasonable quote and they were very insistent and keen and calling me all the time. I finally decided to go with them and I wish I hadn’t.

After paying and organising the collection of my items, they were late in the collection day and cancelled it without notice and I had to chase them to schedule another collection. They collected the items a few days later and delivery was promised within a week to 10 days. My items were stuck in customs for about two weeks and they hadn’t contacted me to tell me anything about it or give me any updates and I was chasing them all the time. I then found out that one of my boxes was rejected from customs and returned to my property which I was no longer a resident of and couldn’t reach it.

I was arguing with them for about a month almost every day and they wouldn’t redeliver the box to my friends address without paying and without me paying for international shipping for that box for a second time. Meanwhile they would also not tell me what the prohibited item in the box was or give me any details.

A week after that. They charged my card once again for a very large amount claiming it was for extra weight in the boxes, including the one they didn’t deliver. The weights and dimensions they charged me on the basis of were outlined in an email they sent me after charging and they were completely false and fabricated. They said one of my boxes was 40kg while they were all a maximum of 20kg.

I notified them that I will be filing a formal complaint against them if a refund and compensation are not provided.

This company has been a total scam and I would strongly advise against using them

We can see that you sent 6 items from the UK to Saudi Arabia with everything arriving safely on the 2nd of March.

We are sorry to hear of any issues with your collection, our team were proactively monitoring this on the original collection date and had received confirmation from the courier as late as 5:30PM that the collection was still active. Whilst it is very rare for collections to fail, we are sorry about this.

As the collection was planned for a Friday, the next collection date available was Monday and our team did rebook this for you and escalated this with the courier to ensure a collection as early as possible. This was collected at 10:33 on the Monday.

An item was returned to the sender address due to the presence of prohibited items and our team did assist as much as possible regarding this.

Your shipment was recorded as being larger than what was declared by the courier as it was recorded in their network. There were additional charges for the extra weight and volume sent in this instance and this was rebilled in accordance with the Terms and Conditions that were agreed to at booking.  It is very rare for any items to be rebilled after booking as long as all items are correctly measured and weighed.

Overall good except for the initial collection

Despite the collection process was not satisfying by unexpected delay without any notice, the communication with Marie and Sammy has always been active and helpful. After the collection, the delivery was very quick. So, it would have been perfect if the collection process with Fedex went on time.

Great customer service!

I had a very positive experience with Sherpr! Although there were some delays with the delivery due to customs inspections (which were clearly outside of their control), the customer service was truly excellent.
I was consistently kept up to date on the status of my shipment without ever needing to chase for information. In particular, Marie and Fraser from the customer service team were super professional and helpful.
The communication was clear, timely, and reassuring throughout the entire process. Despite the delay, I always felt supported and well-informed.
I would highly recommend Sherpr for their reliability and especially for their outstanding customer service!

What a mess

I used Sherpr to ship personal belongings from the UK to Germany during a relocation.

While the initial booking process was straightforward, significant issues arose during customs clearance. Despite clearly stating that this was a relocation shipment of used personal belongings, the shipment appears to have been declared as “SOLD” to customs by the courier. This created confusion and led to additional scrutiny from German customs.

As a result, I was repeatedly asked to provide extensive documentation (proof of residence, employment, and even proof of purchase for used items), which significantly delayed the shipment (1 month).

I was also charged additional fees by FedEx for customs clearance handling, which were not clearly explained upfront. While I understand that some customs fees are standard, the misclassification of the shipment likely contributed to unnecessary complications and costs.

To be fair, Sherpr support did respond and attempted to assist, but this was massively complicated by the fact they were acting as a middle-man between me, FedEx and German customs. They continually confused things rather than actually helping as far as I can figure out.
Basically I wouldn't suggest using them.

We are sorry about any delay in your shipment being delivered as this was held up in customs clearance as you noted. Customs is a governmental agency and is not something that either ourselves or the courier can control.

Sherpr supplied the documentation for customs based on the information you provided. This was clear listed as being for relocation and used personal effects. This was not declared as being sold by Sherpr and you can see this on your customs documentation which we would be happy to resend to you if needed.

We are happy however that our team did try to assist however when it does come to customs clearance, normally the receiver must be the sole contact especially if you are the owner of the goods.

Awesome Service !

Awesome, excellent and truly deserve 5 BIG Shiny Stars!
I was relocating from UK to Germany. Stored my boxes with Sherpr till I have an address and move date. Sherpr picked up my boxes in UK - on time and I love the app which helped me keep track on the contents in each box. Once I confirm my address and move date, I simply need to notify Sherpr and they took care of everything - reminding me when I miss something. Encountered shipping delays due to customs and Marie was closely following up with FedEx and kept me posted. One thing worth mentioning is the use of chatbot - yes, chatbot answered my queries when I contacted Sherpr after office hours but a support agent will follow-up when office is open. I felt very assured and I think this is a very complementary use of AI without compromising customer service. I definitely recommend Sherpr !

Great customer service

We delivered 9 large moving boxes from Geneva Switzerland to London UK using Sherpr. Marie on the customer service team was truly a star in the whole process - very speedy and helpful answers to emails, chatbox & phone calls (she seemed to be manning all 3 lines)! The delivery was delayed because of Fedex, but when we couldn't get ahold of Fedex, Marie was very diligent and responsive about getting in touch with them. The customs process was also easy and Sherpr made the labels/documents process very straightforward. Would absolutely recommend.

Damaged items, ignored by customer service

Several items in my shipment were broken and I had purchased insurance but customer service stopped answering my emails and never paid me out from the insurance claim. Not a responsive or responsible company. Avoid and find other options.

From US to Spain in 2 weeks

TLDR; cost effective, informative, and helpful even when things weren’t done properly on my end. Use Sherpr they’re better than you’ll find anywhere else

From the moment I made the inquiry until delivery, the Sherpr team was absolutely helpful, honest, and informative. To start with, Duncan who was the first person who initiated the call with me walked me through the process, protocol, what to expect and why things are done a certain way for the sake of my final destination (Spain). Of course there were things I needed to seek out on my own, but for the most part Duncan took more time with me to explain how and why after having 2 different bad experiences with other shipping companies, who were just trying to close a deal—who were twice as expensive btw. Then came the procedure and protocol. This is a bit involved. But it has to be. Just give yourself some grace and do exactly as they ask you and you will have no problems. Once the pick up and shipping was handled, Marie was my customer service rep who gave me periodic updates. Even when there was a delay (my fault, not theirs), they were informative and advocated for me with customs to ensure I could get my family’s belongings. They arrived today, everything together and intact, minus a poorly packed picture frame that I lumped in with wrong stuff.

I would absolutely use them again, no doubt.

Complex move to Spain carried out to perfection

We worked with Suddath moving out of the US and Sherpr. We had a complex timing situation as we were simultaneously selling a home, moving household goods to Spain, and flying to Europe with a four day window to execute. Ken at Suddath, Sammy, and Marie at Sherpr pulled it off to perfection. The shipment arrived on time, in perfect condition, and on budget. FedEx delivered to my door. You can't ask or expect any more than that. Great communication and customer service from the Sherpr team and follow up by Suddath. We highly recommend this group for overseas shipping.

Sammy and Marie made shipping my items from New York back to the UK a dream - they put the customer first at all times, the chat service is excellent, and they respond immediately, backing this up with personal call backs. They give you the personal touch that other companies simply do not offer.

Sherpr sets the bench mark for any of the other service providers in this industry. Honestly, I cannot recommend Sherpr highly enough, especially Sammy and Marie -

Sherpr: Exceptional Service, Professional, Fast Turnaround Delivery

I have moved internationally with four different carriers. From the first call from Duncan to the actual delivery of my goods overseas within a week, it was the most professional service I have experienced. They listen and made changes based on my changing needs to ensure I was satisfied. The Quote was within my expectation for container shipping ... but the Quote was for air freight! Thrilled! Marie handling Customs also quickly assisted me. It was Exceptional Serice and worth a 6 out of 5 rating!!!

Cheap to ship from NL to the UK and great customer service

The customer service team at Sherpr were great, both before I placed an order with them when they helped me get my shipment arranged properly, and afterwards when there was an issue with customs that they contested for me. The only issue I encountered was with Fedex incorrectly charging me import tax on items I was shipping from NL to the UK, despite me having a proper ToR1 form filled out, but Sherpr contested the charge on my behalf and I got my things shipped in the end without too much delay and without having to pay the tax. Fedex customer service was actually useless when I called them, so I recommend always going to Sherpr first. They also quoted me a much lower cost than a lot of other couriers. Would recommend! Only criticism is that on their website, when you have to upload your documents, it's not made clear whether I should upload my proof of address for the country I'm shipping from or to, I had to use chatgbt to help me fill it in, but only a small detail.

Not suitable for international moves: fragmented service, rough handling, and limited insurance transparency

After seeing really nice reviews, I used Sherpr for an international move that included storage. While the customer service representatives (shout out to Joana and Marie) were consistently polite, helpful and responsive, the overall structure of the service proved unsuitable for a full relocation.

The model relies heavily on third parties (in my case LOVESPACE and UPS), which led to several issues along the way. Regarding the storage, miscommunication around collection scheduling. I ultimately had to pay additional charges simply to ensure collection occurred on the agreed date.

Then, the shipment arrived in a severely damaged state. The boxes (sturdy, double-walled, and properly packed) were heavily crushed and dented. As a clear example of the level of impact involved, a cast iron pan inside one of the boxes was visibly dented. This indicates handling far beyond normal transit wear.

Although additional insurance is promoted during booking, I later discovered that many common household items are classified as “non-compensation items.” While this information is technically available via a link at the bottom of the page, the practical effect is that most standard moving contents appear to be excluded from coverage. This makes the insurance offering feel extremely limited in real-world terms.

Additionally, while described in some cases as “door-to-door,” delivery may not extend to your actual apartment door in a flat complex, depending on the courier.

What initially appeared to be a cost-effective alternative to professional movers ultimately cost more, both in additional fees and in damaged belongings. Coordinating one company that coordinates multiple third parties adds complexity without adding accountability.

In summary: courteous staff, but the system itself makes this service unsuitable for international moves where reliability and meaningful protection are essential.

EDIT: In response to Sherpr’s reply below, I had already been in contact with the team months ago specifically regarding the damage. At the time, they were the ones who informed me about the insurance process I referred to earlier. However, out of all the items that were damaged, the only one they followed up on was the pan (which I mentioned as evidence for how battered some boxes were), asking me to provide the purchase receipt. As most people would understand, I no longer have the receipt for a years-old everyday purchase. In any case, the pan was by far one of the least valuable items that were damaged. Between work becoming busy and the relatively small value involved, I did not continue pursuing the matter, as it did not seem worth the time and effort, especially given the extent of the other damage.

However, I am sorry to hear of the issues with the facility not initially having your shipment ready for the chosen collection date on time and have queried this with their team, in order to ensure any problems are immediately resolved.

However, I can see your shipment arrived with damage and, as you mention, our terms are clear regarding which specific items are prohibited or non compensatable, this is still disappointing and I do apologise for that.
