Police Mutual Omdömen 

Have had the genuine pleasure of speaking to police mutual customer services twice over the last few years as power of attorney for my parents. 1st to cash in their savings , 2 nd to adjust house insurance. Each time the advisor was so helpful and would contact me themselves until the matter was resolved. Saving the stress of ringing again and having to explain all over again.

The Agent was polite and helpful which allowed me to be confident I could make the right decisions.

I recently had to claim against my healthcare policy. I have to say from the first contact it lived up to all I had been promised. I had to go through the 24hr GP service as my own GP omitted to write in the referral letter exactly which department I needed. I Got a call back the following day and was able to progress seeing consultant of my choice. from first consultation, MRI scan and follow up consultation in total timescale was 3.5weeks (not the 18months to 2 years that I had been advised on the NHS. The gave me reassurance and piece of mind re my ongoing health condition.

I updated against the claim after every appointment to clarify that it would all be covered IT WAS!

I have regular Contact with Kenny and Alex from Police Mutual who are the engagement team in Scotland who actually reminded me "why not go through the scheme and get seen in a more timeous fashion".

Thank you to both of your staff members as I'm now a few months down the line and have a proper Diagnosis and treatment plan.

Excellent Insurance company to deal with. I phoned to renew my Insurance and wanted to clarify a few queries. Keith explained everything to me and was extremely helpful and courteous.

My wife needed to claim on the health insurance and initially all seemed well, we got a consult with the surgeon and all booked. Then 9 days before surgery they announced they weren't covering it at all giving two reasons -
1) initial operation had been emergency NHS so nothing related is covered
2) potential for costs to exceed coverage

So it appears reason 1 rules out follow-up on any on the job injury as those are always initially dealt with by NHS, and reason 2 is just obscene, they were under no obligation to pay more than the cap but used that as an excuse to pay nothing at all.

I'd complain to the FCA but this isn't real health insurance and is not regulated. They can and will deny your claim on a whim.

I would strongly advise any officer using this plan to cancel and save your money to pay towards real health insurance. It costs more, but that is because it is actual coverage.
