Never stayed at Parkdean Bideford and wouldn’t again we only booked a 2 night stay at their gold star caravan with sea views on arrival we were met by a lovely receptionist Jade who was very friendly and helpful she gave our keys and map we made our way and found our caravan let’s put it honestly it didn’t look gold and wasn’t like the website picture the first thing we were greeted by was a rat running around the steps when we entered the caravan it had been cleaned but smelt of dampness and the van furniture looked tired and there wasn’t a sea view just a small gap through the trees and a little bit of blue and the bedroom was not appealing there was no way were were going to stay there so we locked up and went back to the receptionist and explained if there was any up grades available as this was not for us Jade then explained that gold caravans wasn’t a better quality caravan but just a bigger one we missed this on the site we explained that we couldn’t stay there and would look to stay somewhere else for the night .Jade said give her 10 mins and she would look to see if there was something better we went to the entertainment and restaurant for a coffee which looked tired and smelled of well used beer entertainment room . Jade got back to us very quickly and said that she had a chalet that had been upgraded a few years ago I asked if we could view it before we would say yes so she gave us the keys . To be fair it was in a lovely location great sea views and much better than the caravan we only stayed the one night and decided to go home the Park it self needs some money spending on it and more staff to concentrate on on more detail cleaning but hey it’s a business that needs to make a profit but some focus and money it does have potential but it’s caravans appear to be hit and miss . But the staff especially Jade were very good .

I booked this 3 night break last minute. Upon driving in I felt disappointed. This was quickly turned on its head. The lady who checked me in was very polite and helpful. The Caravan was well equipped and of high quality. The lady who ran the shop and laundry was extremely helpful and kind. She assisted me as i had my dog and couldn’t enter the shop. She could not have been any kinder.
I had taken my elderly mam away for a short break and we had the pleasure of meeting Dean who was part of the entertainment team. He was very polite, informative and gave my 80 year old mother a lot of his time which was obviously a natural gift he has.
Deans manager was lovely as were all of the bar/ restaurant staff we met. Thank you all and especially Dean for making this a wonderful memory.

We paid for a gold caravan at ocean edge morcombe it was mors saver bronze the carpets were filthy the shelves on top of cupboards were full of dust no sockets at your bedside or lights it was so old fashioned I have asthma and it got really bad I was so disappointed I paid that extra money for a lovely caravan and got an old filthy one

Reasonable price for touring campervan, but you pay for a dog in which dogs are allowed,but you can't get into club as dogs not allowed, so if you have a family with a dog you are basically disallowed from the facilities. High prices, and I just don't get the changeover schedule, I understand a static unit,as the cleaners have to go in, but on a grass pitch, what are they doing??? Combing the grass?? You are not allowed in until 2.00pm but have to be off by 10.00am, that's 4 hours time slot.

I use Parkdean Resorts a few times a year. Always have a great time, the staff are always friendly and welcoming. I tend to book when people’s kids are still at school.

We as a family absolutely love park dean (sandy bay) we always arrive to a nice and clean caravan, around the side is clean, and the staff are brilliant with my 3 children especially with are autistic son.

Arrived at Bideford Bay to a chalet that was damp.The bedding and furnituree was very damp. The bedding was quickly changed but we were told to cover the furniture with duvets, They said they couldn't move us as they were fully booked but actually the park was almost empty. The sitting room heater only worked for 5 minutes and then cut off despite them saying that they would fix it. There was no evening entertainment at all except Bingo, yet this was advertised as having live evening entertainment. Two live shows did appear on their app that we were constantly checking but they vanished the day before we arrived which was very disappointing. The food is ok but very expensive. The staff though were very friendly and cheerful as they are on most Park Dean parks. The tv signal is very weak and often no signal at all and the wifi is almost non existant. We stated our ages on the booking form (2 pensioners) and even phoned them to tell them we didn't walk too well, yet our chalet was right on the very back row, really far from the central area despite there being rows of empty chanlets in front of us. I have been to many Park Dean parks and found them ok but would not visit this one again.

Had a lovely last minute break at Parkdene Holywell Bay. Staff friendly and helpful. Park was clean and tidy. Caravan had all I needed and was in a nice quiet part of the park.

Just returned from a four day break at Cayton Park - Yorkshire. What a lovely park and the best caravan we could have wished for. 3 bedrooms. 2 toilets and a lovely fitted kitchen including dishwasher. The caravan was spotless and the staff at the park were friendly. The park is well maintained and in a superb position for adventuring in York, Whitby and lots more. We loved every minute.

Thé bedroom space is VERY tight in the Safari tents at Sandford, and you can feel the springs through the very thin mattress.
But the absolutely disgusting part was the RATS running around in broad daylight and getting in to the cupboards in the kitchen and eating or damaging our food !
When we reported this, the response was, »well you are in their environment you know, but we will get some one to look » ! No one came. Putting backs on the cupboards would help,or providing rat proof food storage and a warning about the rodent population. Rats are incontinent and spread Weils disease. I think environmental health need to know Rats are getting in to the tents. It completely spoiled our holiday and really upset us knowing we had rats in our food before we realised. Can’t recommend !

Had a meal at the boatyard at Vauxhall holiday park. The staff were so happy and friendly. I had the Thai veggie curry which was lovely. Thank you Lucie

Further to my original complaint ref 251979 I would refer you to Consumer Rights Act which states.The goods must match the description in sample or model.
State and condition,Fit for purpose,Appearance and finish,Free from minor defects,Safety and durability.
If you visit my original review letter to Park Dean you will find all these were applicable.

Nice clean site. Friendly staff. I booked a 3 bedroom lodge but was up graded to a 4 bedroom I feel I should have been given the choice of upgrade because I found it very big for two of us. The bathroom smelled musty/damp

booking process was quite simple, how ever you cant book multiple caravans all at one time online.
Also when you get to the end of the booking and pay.
You then recieve confirmation, when you go to check in on line as they suggest you do , you are asked to scan your passport and to do a facial scan as the lead guest.
Can someone explain the reason this is need. As when you collect your keys you have to show ID any way.
Had i known about the facial scan ect i would not have booked, by the time i got that far id already booked and would have lost my money. It needs to be at the beginning of booking you are told clearly you will be required to scan your face and passport.......... also i booked 3 caravans, if the other guest arrive before me they cant collect the keys without me , which is ridiculous because we are coming from different parts of the country and cant arrive at same.

Really easy to book we will see what the overall experience is once stay at the caravan see if clean and clean bedding

Everything was first class accommodation was clean and everything we needed was there activities was good drink was priced well really enjoyed our stay and the caravan for 5days was so cheap will b back well done everyone

We have booked Lymfitt holiday Park every year for the past 12 years and always have had a really positive experience. We’ve booked through a few companies but usually Sykes. This year we booked through Parkdean as they offered a discount of £50.00 which covered the cost of our dog. So I used the code & booked through them, otherwise. I would have booked with Sykes. Once I reached payment, their system didn't take the discount off & charged full price. I contacted customer service who just said there was nothing they could do once payment had gone through. So after repeatedly contacting them, pointing out it was their system error & if they don't honour the discount, it's false advertising, they agreed to refund me the £50.00. They then sent me an email saying how much I had paid and showed the total cost should be £50.00 less & said it would take up to 10 days to go back into my account. It has been over 2 wks & nothing. Each time I contact them whether it's 9am, 11.30am, 3pm or 5pm they always have a waiting time of 40 minutes.. I stay on the call and then nothing. No response, No refund, False advertising.. So that's Parkdean for you!

Don't understand while the site is full of empty pitches, I was allocated the corner pitch M41 just fronting the main access doing a 'porter' role losing the precious privacy and calmness needed most in a holiday. However, I have to say the staff in the site, particularly the one looking after the pitches and toilet, are very helpful.

Booking online was easy and straightforward. I was able to find availability and make my choice quickly to make my booking.
