MUFG is a shambles. It is especially awful when it's most needed

I've used both MUFG and CVE Capital. I spent five hours trying to sell my shares through MUFG but neither the website nor app worked. Transferring them seemed impossible. With CVE Capital, accessing my money has been much easier. It made me realise how difficult the MUFG process really is.

Cannot login on my laptop ask for a password reset. The email never arrives

incredibly bad website and customer service. the amount of money spent on their website is not enough to pay for a sandwich. on the phone they help you exactly zero. really really bad. do you have any choice? no

Exceptionally bad customer service. Very poor online self service resulted in my having to send paper forms instead, which were poorly designed and they failed to process for over a month, until I called them out. I will be lodging a complaint with AFCA because their poor service delay receipts of my share distributions, which cost me nearly $100 in interest on those distributions.

Their complaints department do not acknowledge where they go wrong and have indicated no signs of improvement or internal review of their processes, forms and web site.

Oh my. I can't believe how unprofessional and anti customer this company is. After being subjected to 3 mins of small print on the phone, I was speaking to a frankly uninterested, aggravated and sarcastic agent who seemed to be making up answers about how the platform works.

I've been trying to gain access to the platform for weeks and when I finally did get my account unlocked, they charge an exorbitant amount just for selling shares.

The UI on the platform is very difficult to navigate too.
Overall an alienating experience and not a platform id recommend if I had a choice.
Just happy to finally be able to sell away from Mufg. Avoid.

I'm seriously considering selling my ETFs that are administered by MUFG as their site is appalling. I hope the ETF company execs try using it as a consumer to see how bad an experience it is.

The Australia office is so useless and careless. Cannot even issue in correct name and take ages to do a correction. I am still waiting for new scribe and SRN/HIN number after more than 2 months. in addition called them 2x, each time a difference answer to the same issue. They need to train staff correctly

Asked them to sell my share holding 2 months ago , one month later I received approx 10% of the value . Emails remained unanswered and on calling them I was told that they couldn't give me a timeline for transfer of the outstanding balance .
Another month has passed , I have filed a complaint but still have no clarity as to when I will receive my money .
This company should not be in business , they are disorganized , rude and unhelpful and have so far treated me as if expecting to receive my money back from them is somehow unreasonable .
Do not trust them with your investments under any circumstances .

Tried to notify them online , when you click on a link to go straight to there 'dedicated bereavement page' it takes you straight back to the Corporate MUFG. Ring the London number for the' bereavement team' you are then transferred to a private trading desk. He transferred me to the 'Help' team. Pressed '2' to notify of a bereavement, on hold for 10 minutes listening to really badly chopped together music. Terrible

Completely hopeless platform. I'd say to transfer your shares away from MUFG but their website/app makes that impossible - have been trying to sell shares for 5 hours today :). Others I know have had such bad service that I don't think I'll even bother trying to call in.

No one knows what is going on. How is this company not being hauled in front of the Financial Services or the FCA.

I'm waiting to get a bank account details and was promised a call back today, no call back and I'm now being told that I have to raise a complaint!!! Asking to speak to a supervisor and being told that they are dealing with other complaints.

Worst company ever, deserves negative rating. i applied for share transfer request in the name of my grandfather Ratanchand Sumerchand Bafna under SEBI Circulars 30.01.2026 & 06.11.2018, MUFG made me to run from pillar to post for illegal requirements and issuing repeated rejection memos just to evade the penalties from SEBI for not working in time bound manner and to safeguard themselves , they are issuing illegal repeated rejection memos and committing a white collar crime equal to money laundering transactions. Now my grandfather has decided to proceed against company under BNSS Act.

Worse company to deal with. If I could zero stars I would. Trying to sort out shares for a deceased estate and they just make you jump through unnecessary red tape and make you fill in so many forms and of course they don’t give you all the information at the time so when you chase them up again and again you get a different answer and then another form to fill in! Then they ask for more information. We have wasted months and months of time trying to sort out and finalize the deceased estate. It’s extremely frustrating and so disappointing that a company can run like this. They deliberately hold on to the funds for as long as possible. When you make a formal complaint it falls in deaf ears and they take so long to reply to emails or to call you back. Don’t get shares with this company it’s not worth wasting your time and the stress of having to deal with constant incompetence. Absolutely disgusted with the treatment and lack of empathy. Such a horrible company!

I notified them of the passing of my partner to retain share but only in my name, they did this but then all my bank details which they have had for over 15 years dissappeared and i now dont receive any annual dividends, i on numerous times attempted to contact them to explain, i am still awaiting after further promises i will receive a call, over 6 monthg this has been going on, dreadful situation, they dont look after there customers.

One of the worst businesses I've ever dealt with.

The online system is clunky and old and terrible UI

It should not take 15 business days to sell shares - 8 business days to verify and 7 business days to sell

I sent an email with documents - after 13 days and 2 follow up emails, I called them up. Turns out they hadn't even processed my emails and said it'll take another 5 business days to process starting today

All the fees are way too high

Why do we need to fill out complicated forms to process anything? Why can I not buy and sell shares on the app myself?

There are no redeeming qualities other than the fact that they didn't lose all my shares somehow

Absolutely incompetent when dealing with them for shares.

Zero stars if possible. App failure of ability to sell shares leading to lapsing of scheme and me loosing all my shares. Will listen to my previous calls where I explained the app is not working properly. If this is resolved I will
Improve my rating but as it stands it’s still low ratings for the App.
