Hailes Green Haddington
My mum is in Hailes Green Haddington (Scotland) . She has been there since it opened 10 years ago. She moved there very shortly after my Dad passed, he was to move there also, The complex has given mum a good social life,made new companions and is happy there. The onsite staff are excellent and are experienced in looking after the elderly so know their needs even though home owners are living independently. They are always on the end of a phone if you need assistance with anything. They also have good contacts within the community Well kept internally an externally and a great social life if you want to join in.

Seeing recent youtube videos on the low standard of soundproofing of even modern buildings, I am very happy that MS chose very high standards for their North Berwick Tantallon Court complex. Could MS provide me with the buiders of this complex, who I will also rate with five stars.

We have recently stayed in the guest suite at Powell house in Sutton Coldfield. We were made very welcome by Simone the house manager who showed us around . The development is very nice and perfectly situated for the town centre and local bars and restaurants.It even has a cinema next door. We shall definitely try and stay here again whilst we are visiting family

An Unbelievably Smooth Move.
Although I was reluctant to consider selling up and moving, I allowed my wife to persuade me to come to Flora Place - "Just to have a look." I was impressed as soon as we walked through the door. We were enthusiastically welcomed by Toni, the sales manager, who took us on a tour of the building showing us the various apartments on offer. We found an apartment which met all our expectations.
Toni made us feel very much at home. She clearly possess a very wide knowledge of the Company's procedures and she answered all our questions both technical and general.
We decided there and then to go ahead.
We opted for the Smooth Move. McCarthy and Stone lived up to their promise and our move was very smooth and surprisingly quick.

On arrival the House Manager was extremely professional and very helpful. I also noticed how she was engaging with many residents whilst also assisting myself. The Staff at Elles house are…
The Staff at Elles house are hardworking cheerful helpful. And still chearfull throughout several heatwaves we had in 2026 which made working conditions stressful.

I have lived at Valley Court very…
I have lived at Valley Court very happily since it opened ten years ago. Our current manager Lorraine is the best. Nothing is too much trouble. She is a great support to all the residents. She is efficient, diplomatic, kind, considerate and has dealt with some very challenging situations which she has handled with great sensitivity. Lorraine has really brought our community together.
Moving to Valley Court was the best move I could have made.

Today I had a lighting failure withing my apartment. I spoke to Cally our house Manager and she reported and set the ball rolling, Within an hour i had an electrician at my door ten minutes later the problem was fixed.

McCarthy & Stone, Earls Grange, Burscough - Outstanding Customer Service
I was diagnosed with Drug Induced Parkinsonism medicated with Parkinson’s tablets. Because of my diagnosis, I was struggling mentally and physically, falling over, walking slowly, shaking and unable to climb the stairs and go down the stairs for fear of falling.
So I decided to make enquiries to secure my future and if and when my health deteriorates, I wanted to live somewhere where I felt comfortable living and was getting looked after.
Cut a very long story short, I viewed McCarthy & Stone in Burscough. 2 lovely ladies, Lynne and Angela, were very informative and couldn’t do enough to help me showing me one bedroom apartments, which were amazing, and giving me an insight into the apartments.
Karon, in the meantime, rang me and arranged to pick me up from my home address in Kirkby to look around the development and see if I liked one of their apartments.
Karon is a rare gem and exceptionally professional. She went above and beyond picking me up at my home address because I can’t drive “Lenny the Lexus” anymore because of my Parkinsonism.
Karon explained in detail the steps of getting one of their apartments. Karon also introduced me to Michael, her Boss, who is so friendly and welcoming, and to some of their residents. It was lovely to meet a gentle lady called Trish. I can’t wait to play cards and do jigsaws in the community room - I’ll fit in well!
I’m so grateful and lucky to now call Karon, Lynne, Angela and Sue my friends from McCarthy & Stone.

I recently met with Elaine Bostock, Manager of the McCarthy and Stone facility in Cleckheaton. I contacted Elaine regarding my aging parents.

Amazing summer BBQ at Lyle Court
I wanted to congratulate all the staff at Lyle Court in Edinburgh on their summer BBQ that I attended with my father at the weekend. It was a thoroughly enjoyable event. The chefs and staff went to huge amount of effort to put on a delicious spread for all the residents and families. My dad loved seeing his friends and having a bucks fizz!

Pinnoc Mews guest suite
I recently stayed in the guest suite at Pinnoc Mews for the first time as i was visiting Exeter for a family funeral. I am a homeowner at another McCarthy Stone site so i had an idea of what to expect. The house manager at Pinnoc Mews, Linda, went out of her way to make me feel welcome and to ensure that i had everything for my 3 day stay. As soon as i got to Pinnoc Mews she made me feel right at home, the guest suite was very well presented and Linda had thought of everything that i may , she took the time to show me how to access the local bus and even gave me a voucher for the pub next door. The homeowners gather everyday from 3.30pm in the lounge for an informal chat and cup of coffee and Linda made sure that i knew i was welcome to join them, which i did and it was lovely. This is a lovely site with lovely people living there and a really wonderful house manager. I will be back.

A pleasant place to retire to.
I feel I should start with, Unaccustomed as I am … but instead I will start at the beginning, - a very good place to start. …. I purchased a McCarthy and Stone apartment spring of 22 - Merchants Gate, Pollokshields, Glasgow. My Wife had passed away a couple of years previous.
Now we had the normal relationship, I made all the important decisions, like whether we should go to war, or spend money going to the moon.
Whereas she decided all the trivial things like where to go on holiday, what car we should buy or which restaurant we should go to. If I did not stick to this system, then my ability to choose the worst option bubbled up to the top, so I was very pleased when I found out I had made an excellent decision in coming to Merchants Gate, in particular as we had Kate the magical House manager.
Now four and a half years on I realise that the reason I think I made the correct decision is still the same but much more biased towards Kate, just how lucky can one get. The energy she puts into her job of making us comfortable, well-done Kate.

We had a water problem during recent downpours.Contacted the emergency and the area manager immediately arranged builder to check roof and electrics to be checked.The problem was rectified efficiently and quickly.This location is Jackson Place,Alcester B49 6GR.
