Every Fishbox is different each month, so always fun to see what you have and what meals to plan. Try different fish, experiment with new recipes.

The selection of fish is always great. I occasionally receive something I’ve never heard of but as I like trying new things it’s what makes the fishbox experience so fresh. I also enjoy having the opportunity to add extras to my regular order. Delivery is also well handled with great notification about delivery times, which is so important with fresh food.

I have been having a monthly fishbox delivered for about 3 years. The fish is always very fresh, excellent quality and neatly filleted where appropriate. The variety is good and I always look forward to receiving a delivery.

I look forward to my fortnightly Fishbox SO much. The fish is as fresh as it gets and because you select your preferences you always get a surprise but fish you will love. Sometimes I like to add extras to my order. I have tried so many new fish because of Fishbox and discovered I love Ling and Monkfish!
If you are going away, you simply update the website in the 'holiday' section.

We love our Fish box. The fact that we can set our preferences and so only get the fish we like or want to try is great. The companies communication is really efficient and friendly. The actual fish is so fresh and arrives really cold in its insulated box even on the hottest days. Also love that I can add extras. Altogether a great way to buy fish.

My husband and I have a 4 weekly delivery from Fishbox, and we cannot fault it. The fish is always fantastically fresh, and we love that we get varieties which we wouldn't see in the shops and are always very excited to open our box when it comes. The packaging is fully recycleable and on the only occasion when the courier delivered a day late, the fish was still cold. The staff are always, efficient and friendly - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fishbox.

We have had Fishbox now for 2 years and have the £37 box fortnightly. We have loved it since the outset, recommended it to many friends, the delivery is always opened with anticipation. Whenever there has been the occasional issue a quick e mail has always sorted it out. Maybe we have been lucky but would not be without our fish from them.

Always look forward to our fortnightly delivery. Been using fish box for 6 months now without issue. Always delivered on time by DPD and most importantly fish is always fresh and varied. Have added to our order a few times without issue. Keep the good work up

I only saw the reviews after I'd placed my order and I was concerned to say the least.
I got the large £45 box but got £10 off my first order.
My plan was to get some seafood for Christmas. I only selected the seafood options and this is what I received: two cooked crab claws (weirdly labelled "live"), one dressed brown crab, ten langoustines, 1kg of mussels and four Shetland king scallops. I thought the four scallops were rather miserly - I would have expected six for a portion - but I think I did pretty well out of it considering.
I was a bit concerned about freshness/safety as the box arrived soggy despite being supposedly "completely moisture-proof" and there were just two small gel packs inside. I decided to take a leap of faith and trust they knew what they were doing. I had the dressed crab the first night which tasted fine so I felt reassured I wasn't going to get food poisoning.
I made a seafood platter of the crab claws, mussels and langoustines and just had it with chips and salad. The scallops I used for squid ink linguine with lemon but I had to go out and get more scallops for this as four obviously wasn't going to cut it - this is surely just a starter. There was very little information about how to prepare the seafood and no recipe suggestions at all which was a bit disappointing.
I personally don't really have a need for a regular fish box delivery but I was pleasantly surprised in the end and will definitely get it again for special occasions, requesting seafood and the more unusual fish that I can't get from the supermarket I think.

Been customers for quite some time - fish is always very good but “Customer Service” is utterly appalling.
No response to messages via website despite receiving messages saying “ someone will be in touch soon”, no phone number to make direct contact either.
Then to be told that you cannot change/rearrange dates despite there being a box to do so - what is the point of having a box on the site if it does not work???
YOU HAVE LOST OUR BUSINESS

I signed up to Fishbox over 3 months ago on my sisters recommendation and have had 6 or so deliveries. I have to say that the website is very good and the service seems very efficient. However, when considering value for money (and I know its expensive to package and transport) but I have on average had about 1.2 kg of fish in 4 separate packages per delivery. Generally, the quality has been good, but on some occasions the fish has been quite old. For £37 a pop, this is over twice the price I pay locally and often for fish types that are sold quite cheaply because they are not mainstream commercial varieties. The portion sizes are miniscule and would not grace a child's plate. I just feel this is not sustainable. If you want to spend £75 per month and you have cash to splash then OK - but for me in these increasingly difficult financial times I have had to cancel and revert to local supplies.

I have just received my first order, large Fishbox £45, very disappointed indeed. If a 4oz piece of cod is supposed to be a portion, they are dilluded, the average portion of protein per person, per meal is 8oz, so looks like I am on a diet!!!!

The selection of fish is not bad, but as I said above portion size is appalling! What a waste of money.

I have cancelled my subscription immediately after waiting with excitement the past 3 weeks!!!
