Shockingly Poor Service
For such a poorly-run service you, the audacity to charge double the fee of tfl prices is beyond baffling. The buses very rarely run on time, frequently display incorrect destinations at the front and it is not uncommon to find drivers ditching their buses in the most awkward of spots during their breaks resulting in congestion and chaos.
If you like standing in the rain…
If you like standing in the freezing cold rain, never knowing whether to trust Google maps or the firstbus app, paying hundreds of pounds a year, leaving early and still ending up being late, all while being lied to by state-of-the-art live digital timetables, you will LOVE firstbus! Wherever you may be, rest assured, firstbus will also be there to ruin your day.

A wonderful experience this morning, caught the 42 from the bus station around 7am, a very pleasant and chatty driver greeted myself, his charisma and personality was second to none, you don’t find many drivers like this these days, “first” you need more drivers like this fella

Now I've bought the WY Day Rider on the First Bus app previously however it's not on there now. It's £6 the same price as a first bus day Rider however the WY Day Rider can be used on all buses not just First Buses but also Aviva. So stopped an Asian bus driver that called me "love" very sexist to confirm if still available it is on the bus so can get that there but I've had to use AI to find out about it on an MCard Mobile Ticket App. It's still £6 for a WY Day Rider. A weekly ticket is £26 and a monthly ticket is £93 with a monthly plus for a full year £930.

I had a really important appointment to get to. Before hand the bus didn’t show up. And when it did it was late, and then the driver decided to stop at every single stop and rest like he had all the time in the world. I even caught the earliest bus I could so I knew I would be early. But the driver ended up making me late. I don’t know if he gets paid hourly and decides to drive the speed of a mobility scooter. But they claim they are fast and reliable. They are the complete opposite. By the time he got to the bus station I mesmerised the whole Quran, and could speak fluent Chinese. They get paid to take me to my destination on time. I catch the bus all the time too, but it seems whenever I have an important event going on they drive like hellen Keller.

The worst bus company ever. Buses never showed up. Very unreliable made me late to work multiple times. No explanation or warning that the bus was going to be late. Shit company and service as well.
Wonderful kind drivers
Am not even sure am on right website- as you'll see am not the greatest using tech. In last week needed twice to get from Lookers Nissan on Kirkstall Rd to city centre and back. The bus drivers were just wonderful. So kind and helpful. Couldn't have managed without them. Well done lads!
Dreadful
One of the clearest arguments against transport monopoly. Services in East Bristol have gradually got worse and worse, frequently fail to show up, even though they show up on the live service tracker boards. And then the next bus is full because so many people are waiting. So bad they've made me give up using buses.

The first buses in Fareham Gosport area are bad, my first major issue was that in May last year the bus driver did not fallow any safety rules and when approached the turn did not reduce speed and pushchair with my son tip over and the driver did not stop and laugh! The safety of my 3 year old was funny, did not offer any incident report or anything at the time I was too stressed to think of asking about it! first Hampshire hired psychopaths as drivers! And second incident today, I waved and bus did not stop instead the bus driver waved back, seriously? What’s wrong with you as company? I hope that soon you will get competitor and this nonsense will stop. When possible I avoid first buses.

Absolute robbery charging £3 more than arriva for a flexi family day pass. It’s disgusting. Same ticket same exact route £3 more.
Cancellation, no air con, no compensation.
Booked a ticket for my partner from Woking to Heathrow. Bus did not turn up. No notification on app. Passengers expected to stand around in very hot weather. Some take a taxi. Eventually a bus turns up. Air conditioning has broken and been broken all day according to driver. 25 degrees in shade becomes far worse. Partner (67) pouring sweat on arrival in Heathrow. No refund. No compensation. Meanwhile government spends billions cutting down forest and creating a vast interchange between A3 and M25 which will just cause more congestion at other points. How about actually have a bus service that is regular, reliable and has vehicles that works?
Failure of Customer Support and Complaint Handling
I attempted to raise a concern regarding a Bus 46 service in Cornwall. However, the process was unnecessarily difficult and ultimately unhelpful.
The online feedback form did not work (403 error), and the email contact option was also ineffective. When I called customer services, I was informed that services in Cornwall had ceased in February and that they were therefore unable to deal with a concern relating to December. The matter was dismissed without any attempt to direct me to the appropriate provider or offer further assistance.
This experience reflects poorly on accessibility and accountability. Even where services have transferred, there should be a clear and functioning pathway for customers to raise concerns, or at minimum, appropriate signposting.
I would encourage a review of customer support processes.
No buses…
Two buses didn’t arrive at Buchanan street bus station to get me home the x85 seen buses on the app and they just disappeared had to get bus to Kirkintilloch then a taxi home considering I’m paying this shambles of a company £110 a month

I myself buy a yearly ticket which costs over £1000 so this is infuriating
I don’t know what it is,are the drivers scared to challenge people?

Horrible. Quite often they don't even bother to show up. When they do they are almost always late. I have been late to work 4 out of the past 5 days because of them. I'm scared of losing my job at this point.
