This is a work in progress. 7-10 days is typical for glasses, online or brick and mortar. I placed an order with expedited service because i would only be at the ship to location until the 17th which should have been plenty of time for an order placed on the 29th of the previous month. Their website showed order received, then processed but not shipped. To me that means the glasses were completed and are awaiting shipping. After a few days I wondered, how long does it take to pack a shipment so I sent an email. The reply was " the manufacturer tells us the frame is back ordered for two weeks" which means that the order is not completed. I replied saying they should have known the frame was unavailable two weeks ago, which is when I placed my order. They did up grade my shipping to overnight which does me no good as I will be gone for up to 8 weeks or more by the time they figure out how to complete the order. We'll see how this goes but as of now I am not impressed.

This is an update. Eyeglasses.com spent a lot of time trying to remove my review. A lot more time than trying to help me get the glasses I ordered (which was none).

This is one of those. Long delays with no communication as to what the hold up is.
MELISSA, the one who claims to be the highest in the company you can speak to, was one of the worst customer service experience I've had. That's saying a lot. She was rude, condescending, threatened multiple times to cancel my order if I didn't stop asking questions. Complained that she had to pull all her costumer service reps off the phone because of terrible people like me who complain.
This was an online order and this happened about a month after I sent them in. My glasses were never completed so I canceled anyways.
Everything about this company is bad. If the higher ups in the company let's someone like Melissa do what she does, they must not care either... and it shows. Definitely go somewhere else if you want your glasses completed in a reasonable time and to not get yelled at for asking questions about the delay.

Waste of Time and Money
if you like wasting money and time than this is where you should buy glasses. literally got nothing right. So long story short I paid $276 dollars for fake frames and incorrect lenses. not only that it took 10 weeks for them to even get here. they dont answer the phone or reply back when they tell you the frame that was in stock is magically not anymore.
Scam
I ordered glasses on May 2,2024. It did not mention on the website that the glasses were backordered. I received an email on May 6 stating that these were backordered until May 24. I did not hear anything so I called in to get an update. I spoke to VEM And she said it might be another three weeks she’s not sure. I asked to speak to a manager manager. She was extremely rude and told me one wasn’t available. She asked me numerous times if I wanted her to process a refund and I stated numerous times no I would like to know when I will receive my glasses. She hung up on me when she was supposed to transfer me to the voicemail. I tried calling back and was on hold for a very long time. I emailed for a manager to call me and it stated they were processing my request. I just received an email stating that they processed my refund of $263.97. 1. I never asked for a refund and 2. this is $100 less than what the order was. They just robbed me of $100 and nobody can seem to help me. I never asked for a refund and what you just did is highly illegal. Do not order from them as they are a scam.
Scam - Misrepresents Inventory to Make Sales
I ordered frames shown as "low inventory, order soon!" on the website. After a week, I asked about the status and was told that the frames were not in stock but were expected within the next week. The following day, I received an email saying the frames would arrive 2 months later. I cancelled the order. I then placed a second order for frames-- again, shown as "low inventory, order soon." Again, after a week I emailed to find out the status and was told that they were out of stock but Eyeglasses.com expected to have them in another week.
In both cases, Eyeglasses.com knew the frames were out of stock and were not sure when they would receive inventory yet never updated the site to reflect that. I called to ask why the website doesn't accurately show the inventory status and was told that it updates every 24 hours. This clearly isn't true as it's been 2 weeks since I was told the first set of frames would not arrive for 2 months and the status never changed (still showing as "low inventory").
Website is basically unusable
Website is basically unusable. They have thousands of frames but adding a simply filter like "black" returns no results. Extra filters are added randomly and then cannot be removed. I would not trust my personal information to a site so badly programmed.
Worst Customer Service
Worst Customer Service . I placed an order and after 3 months the order finally delivred and the order was wrong even the frames have scratched the Customer service do not reply to my emails or text messages and didn't answer the calls I have called them so many times . The Manager's name is Sam was so rude and I cant beleive how the hell this person became the manager he even ask me for more money. which i has to pay since he was not canelling my order and i have paid over $300.00 already
My question was when will i get my frames
His reply was after 3 weeks if there is no complications

Frames and lenses cheap and lenses were made incorrectly
The lenses were made incorrectly. Unlike other online Rx eyeglass stores, this company does not offer a full refund on glasses and leases that are defective, even though they say they do. They only offer 50%refund and 50% store credit. They also say they offer pre-paid return label, but they don’t.
The glasses I received were cheaply made, the lenses rattled in the frames and felt like cheap plastic and were made incorrectly.
Never will I shop here again. Buyer, beware!
SCAM SITE - if you really need glasses go to Walmart
Just like many others, I ordered my “in stock” frames in December, but I still don’t have them. It’s now March and they keep stringing me along saying that the frames have been backordered, and the manufacturer will have them at a later date. Well the thing is…these frames haven’t been produced in years! I asked them about that with the original delay, and they reassured me they could get the frames. So I waited.
I had to contact them after the original deadline passed, which was February 29th. Then they stated it will be another month before they could get the frames…meanwhile I have no glasses and I used last year’s insurance to buy these. Unfortunately, due to lay offs in the tech industry, I no longer have eye insurance and now I have no glasses.
My overall experience was excellant
I ordered a pair of Ray Ban RB2132 Wayfarer prescription glasses. I know some Ray Ban frames are now made in China. I asked where my RB2132's were made and they quickly replied it is the Italy product which I preferred. Maybe there is no difference, but I did get the Italy made frames. The timeline was 24 days from order to delivery but in the end, the product is as promised in the Ray Ban case and prescription was perfect. The Xtractive transition lenses work great also. The pricing was reasonable being I got some expensive options. I would order from them again.
Poor customer service
I ordered three frames… and they charged me twice! I got a bill for over $800. When I called customer service, there were no apologies, just a matter of fact “yes, we charged you twice”. When I asked if they could offer a discount or coupon for future orders for the heart attack they caused me when I saw the double charge, they said no because I had already used a discount when I purchased the glasses. Poor customer retention!
So far so Good
I say "so far so good" because I have not yet received my glasses. That said, the experience I just had with a service/sales person at Eyeglasses.com was very professional and pleasant. By comparison, I tried to do business with a competitor this morning (Designer Optics) and realized that I was dealing with a company to be avoided. As the eyeglass/sunglasses retail vertical seems to have ethics problems, I recommend avoiding the low cost vendors. There seems to be a fair price out there that runs about 15% - 20% higher than the lowest advertised price points (which turn out not to be real). If my glasses arrive in the next week, I'll be happy. If it takes several weeks, then c 'est la vie. At least I'm confident I'm going to get them!
Poor lens results/horrible cust svc
Had several conversations,e-mails to get my Rx & questions answered.Having a stronger prescription, wearing glasses since I was 8, and have had a dozen new prescription lenses. eyeglasses dot com is the first with lenses that corrected my vision to maybe 20/30 at best. Contacted 3 times,never reaching a person, left with leaving mssgs w/ order# never got a response.Unless your Rx correction is minimal, go ELSEWHERE.Horrible cust svc! Poor lense results!
Maybe this is just the way online eye wear sites operate.
I want to be as fair as I can be, so...Eyeglasses.com is the second online eye wear site I have used in the past month. The first place was very disappointing and Eyeglasses.com is shaping up the same way. I think maybe it's just inherent in this particular industry or simply luck of the draw. On the positive side is eyeglasses.com's selection and pricing; they have a nice variety of frames and very reasonable prices. However, the price you pay for that is unresponsive customer service and having to wait an unreasonably long time for them to fulfill and ship your order. Even though I was told the frames were "in stock," it has been two weeks since I placed the order and they have yet to be shipped. The reason they have not been shipped is that eyeglasses.com is waiting for the manufacturer to provide the frames to them. When I asked about their claim that the frames were "in stock," I was told that meant the frames were "virtually in stock" because they were available from the manufacturer. I was told yesterday that eyeglasses.com should have the frames in their possession by some time next week. I estimate that if this indeed true, a month will have passed when I finally receive the frames that were "in stock." In regard to customer support, I dealt with one very nice phone rep but the chat agents are slow, unapologetic and dismissive. If you send an email, don't expect to receive a reply in a timely fashion. Bottom Line: Good selection, fair prices, but lousy follow through.
Couldn't even order
Got all the way to the cart to look at the price as I am researching lens replacement companies. I saw a cleaning and alignment fee I did not ask for nor do I want. I am perfectly capable of cleaning my glasses. I emailed them about it and they informed me they "cannot" (they can, they just won't) remove the charge from my cart or tell me how to remove it causing me to not be able to order because I do not order with companies that charge hidden fees and then refuse to remove it or let the customer remove it. Another unprofessional "business" lurking around online. Looks like this company can only get orders if they pray on unsuspecting first time customer's orders. That's why I always check trust pilot and site jabber prior to conducting business.
wrong scrip / laughed at / lied to
I was laughed at by the ophthalmologist because I have a special prescription for one eye that requires some unusual techniques (they told me they could execute prior to ordering), lied to about when these had shipped out (whole process took over 3 weeks), and ultimately given the wrong prescription. Tried to settle it with them in the form of a discount / refund, but they weren't willing to do anything to rectify the issue. Will be disputing this transaction with credit card company, as I don't want to ever deal with these folks again.
There's a reason they don't allow you to leave reviews on their website.
These people are extremely slow
These people are extremely slow. I ordered my glasses 8/25. I checked in for an update on 8/30 to see if they have started on processing. I was told they have to wait until next week and then they will get started on my lens. So basically theboption to rush is BS. They don't keep you in the loop at all and pretty sure it is going to be a good month before i get my glasses.
Needed frames
Needed frames, no prescription, said it was in stock, estimated time 5-10 days, came in after a whole month. I've tried to search reviews ect and only made me more anxious. After many times I've reached out, all they could say was it'll come next week. It was in stock on the website yet they kept saying how they're waiting for it from the manufacturer. Anxiety, time and stress isn't worth it.
Insulting Customer Service, decent product.
I proceeded to return a pair of glasses that didn’t fit correctly and I was met with an absolutely inappropriate line of questioning regarding why I waited so long to return them. It was my 3rd pair ordered from them. The product is decent, the customer service definitely made me want to shop at a different website in the future. Too many websites that sell glasses to tolerate that sort of questioning. As if I had done something inappropriate when complying with the advertised 100 days to return if not satisfied. Not a bad product but I am not prepared to buy another pair there.
Here was the exact quote, also it was not four months.
“Could you please tell us why you only inform us now about the issue as it's been 4 months since you received the item?”
Ruined glasses, Dated site, bad service, poor QC
The website looks like it was built in 1990. No one here knows what they are doing. They took over 45 days to replace my lenses when it was a 3-5 business day estimate. 3 QC failures at the lab!
Customer service is subpar. No reply after multiple outreach attempts via email.
Finally got my glasses and they have been ruined! Misaligned. The lens shape is completely different and sits crooked on my face. Complete nightmare of a situation.
Do not send your glasses to them. They will pass it around multiple labs and not take any accountability for mistakes.
