Weeks of waiting for the wrong prescription
I waited weeks for my frames to arrive, and when they finally did, the lenses were wrong. I ordered transitional lenses and received single‑vision instead. When I contacted customer service, I was told I’d have to pay return shipping—even though the mistake was on their end. Really disappointing experience.

Nothing unexpected, I shipped my glasses to them and they arrived back in the expected time frame. I did call them to verify they had received my glasses and they answered promptly.

I ordered my glasses in October 2025. I finally received right around New Years 2026. I had to make many phone calls and send emails in order to get them.
Every time I called I was told they would ship the next day and that I would receive a tracking number. That never happened. My final call before attempting to cancel was the day after Christmas. That day I spoke the to the rudest customer service MANAGER I have ever encountered.
I was never rude any time I called even though I really needed the glasses. I was kind and patient. This manager was rude and acted like I should just trust them that I'd get the glasses and that she gets treated rudely as a customer service rep. She said to me that she speaks english and she is still treated rudely. WHAT IN THE WORLD????
I will NEVER use this company again. Avoid if you want your glasses any time soon, want straight forward answers, and nice customer service managers when you have been patiently making calls and waiting.
They never even reached out after my final request to cancel and report the manager. Terrible company.
PS that manager told me it takes weeks to get the frames I ordered and that is why it took so long. I went to another online company and ordered the same frames. I did that a week ago and they are out for delivery right now. So lie after lie after lie from them.

Sent a pair of oakley to get relensed
Sent a pair of oakley evade frames to have new lenses put on Dec.4 after a month of waiting I called to find out that the nose piece of the frame had broken. At first I was offered a new frame of choosing at 50% off, when I inquired about that, that deal was off the table and they would “frankenstien” my oakleys. Nothing else needed to be said, I asked for a refund, lets see how long that takes. $928 in lenses, $149 in frame a d 1-month lost in time. Please shop somewhere else

Wow, I am surprised to see so many bad reviews for Eyeglasses.com! They have fantastic frames at fair prices! Because I like to purchase custom colored prescription lens, I usually just buy a frame from them each year. My local eye doctor then makes the lens. I do own one round pair of Dolomiti frames that I purchased high index lens with Crizal coating that I purchased through them. My clear Dolomiti glasses are 3 years old, and are still in perfect condition. The lens were replaced about 1.5 years ago, due to a scratch that I accidentally put on them. Fortunately, the warranty through paid for the new lenses. All I had to pay was shipping and handling, which I felt was fair.

UPDATE DEC 17:
My eyeglasses have finally arrived in Italy, after they shipped uninsured Global Post Standard, when I paid for USPS Priority. After I finally was able to access my invoice (after multiple requests PRIOR to shipment), and lab report, I see that they coated the glass lenses after I very strongly stated that I did not want a coating (meant to last 2 years), ruining the glass lenses that will last a lifetime. They also applied some sort of rubberized coating on the beautiful temple cables, that I most certainly did not order (I am actually allergic to some rubber types), while omitting the spare cables that I did order. These coatings cannot be removed, so I will be refusing the shipment, if it ever arrives.

This was my second time buying…
This was my second time buying prescription sunglasses from Eyeglasses.com. The first time was ok, the second time was as bad as others have said. The glasses arrived with one lens bulging out of the frame. I sent the glasses back over a month ago and can't get anyone to tell me what's going on. The website says that I'll hear back in three business days, but that was three weeks ago. The phone number is just a runaround and you can't get a real person on the line. It's not quite bait and switch but close enough to make this the last time I'll use them.

My experience with this company's return process has been completely unacceptable. Despite returning my item over a month ago, I have still not received my refund. The company repeatedly delayed the process and provided misinformation regarding the timeline.
Adding to the frustration, the company requires customers to pay for their own return shipping, which is an uncommon and **unbelievable** practice for an online business. They also failed to specify exactly what would be refunded in their instructions in the original "Email". Their lack of communication and transparency ultimately forced me to file a dispute to help get my money back
This is a poor way to conduct business. A company that boasts about its return policy should honor it in a timely and honest manner.

I am impressed with eyeglasses.com due to the fact that they have a very well organized website (with a huge selection) that makes it easy to find the exact frame that you are looking for. They accurately make lenses with very high prescriptions, which is no small thing. They polished the edges without me even asking them to do so, which enhanced the appearance of my glasses. When I called to ask specific questions about the lenses, they allowed me to speak to an optician, which was very helpful. I appreciate the fact that chat is available to ask questions and receive answers in real-time.
Customer service runaround with a simple refund buyer beware
I accidentally ordered one set of frames without inputting the prescription so I contacted customer service and said I have two active orders, please only cancel this specific order number with the non prescription lenses. They assured me it was done correctly and I was refunded the next day. I had a feeling I should double check and sure enough the wrong order number was cancelled. I called and spoke to customer service and they told me that I was mistaken and the prescription order hadn't been cancelled as I'm viewing the account page and seeing the exact opposite information. The rep also told me my order had been cancelled without me being notified at all because the frames were unavailable and I expressed that this was not reflected in my account history. I requested both orders be cancelled and that they email me confirmation and that went fine, but it's now been 8 days and the refund i was promised in 3-4 has not appeared on my bank account or afterpay account. Customer service gives me the runaround reassuring the order is cancelled but I still am expected to complete the payments on afterpay and they have no record nor does my bank of the refund. I'm super frustrated and disappointed with the customer service and I feel as if I've been scammed out of almost $200 for a cancelled order.
