I initiated a return for the above-mentioned order on January 11, 2026. I dispatched the item via Hermes on January 15, 2026, and provided the merchant with the proof of postage. On January 17, 2026, the carrier (Hermes) officially confirmed a "processing error" and stated that the delivery to the recipient could not be completed.
Despite being provided with the proof of postage and the carrier’s admission of a logistical error, the merchant refuses to issue a refund. They claim they will only process the refund after receiving and inspecting the item, which is currently impossible due to the carrier's error.

The store cites their return policies, which violate German law, tarnish their reputation, and completely ignore all legal requirements. When asked to provide the legal regulations of German law that govern their operations, they refuse to do so and respond with boilerplate statements. I will not take responsibility for an item that has been in an unknown location for three weeks. I will not accept the item back; that is my legal right. Now I'm waiting for your response. What laws are you citing?

Your "Update 2" is legally inaccurate and continues to ignore the statutory provisions of European Consumer Law.
Proof of Dispatch vs. Physical Receipt:
Under § 357 Abs. 4 BGB and Article 13(3) of Directive 2011/83/EU, the trader must process the refund as soon as the consumer provides proof of having sent the goods back. I provided the official Hermes receipt dated 15.01.2026 weeks ago. Your claim that you can wait until physical receipt is a direct violation of these regulations once proof of dispatch is provided.
Transfer of Risk: As a professional merchant, you are well aware that in B2C transactions, the risk of return transit lies solely with the trader (Gefahrtragung). The fact that Hermes made a "processing error" is a commercial risk that you voluntarily accepted by operating a distance-selling business. This risk is typically covered by your business insurance or your contract with the carrier. It is not, under any circumstances, the consumer's problem.
Refusal to Interfere with Logistics: I am not claiming the parcel is lost. I am stating that I have fulfilled my legal obligation by handing it to the carrier. I will not accept the parcel if it is returned to my address, as I refuse to resume the risk of possession for a logistics error I did not cause. Any attempt to return the item to me will be treated as a delivery refusal.
Professional Conduct: A reputable merchant would have refunded the customer immediately upon seeing the carrier's error and settled the matter with the courier independently. Holding a customer’s funds hostage due to your courier's incompetence is unacceptable.
This is my final notice. My deadline of February 11, 2026, stands. If the refund is not processed by then, I will proceed with:
- A Chargeback through my financial institution (providing this correspondence as evidence of your refusal to follow § 357 BGB).
- Escalating the existing cases with ACM and ECC (EVZ).
- Formal legal action via a dunning procedure (Mahnverfahren).
Update 11.02.2026:
Hermes has now officially confirmed that my return parcel is lost. Despite the seller's previous promise to issue a refund once the loss is proven, they are now stalling again. They want me to wait for the results of an internal investigation that could take weeks.
This is a direct violation of consumer rights (§ 357 Abs. 4 BGB). I have provided all the proof, but e-mediaweb continues to hold my money illegally. Saturn, as the platform, provides zero support.

During Black Friday (almost two months ago) I ordered a Boox Note 5C (≈ €500 + delivery) from this vendor. I paid by bank transfer because they added an extra €3‑5 fee for credit‑card payments.
The confirmation was immediate, and Lex replied quickly that the package was on its way, providing a PostNL tracking number. Five days later I saw that the parcel was stuck in Madrid. I waited, it remained stuck, and I told Lex about it. He replied that I had supplied a wrong address. At that point the address was actually correct, but the courier could not recognise it. I then gave an alternative address (a neighbour’s and a family member’s).
Two weeks later the parcel was still stuck. After almost a month I demanded a solution from Lex. He answered a week later, again asking me to provide a new address. All the addresses I supplied are valid and receive deliveries from every carrier operating in the area.
To this day I have no update; Lex has not responded for more than a week and a half, and I am preparing to take legal action.
I do not recommend this company. It is by far my worst buying experience ever.

It seems that the parcel was lost. E Readerweb took responsability and gave me the option for a second delivery or full refund. I changed the rating to 3 stars because the outcome was deserved but the 2 months back and forth a very bad experience. I hope they don't run in this issues again, but if they do, they need to be more responsive.
On January 6th, I ordered a Boox and faced a problem with the payment. Contacted the customer support and got a really quick reply (within 10 minutes), managing to pay it right after so that the order could proceed. Then, I had to send two emails to the customer support to know if the payment was received as in the website the order still appeared as cancelled. As response, I've received the tracking link, which said my order was going to be delivered between January 13th/14th. It wasn't, and no new delivery expectation was given. Contacted the company and no reply. Contacted the transport company and was informed that these cases need to be handled by the sender. Contacted again the company, no answer. Then contacted the transporter warehouse and was informed no package arrived their warehouse. Contacted again the company, no answer. To conclude, to receive the payment, I got a reply after 10 minutes. To help me understand what happened to my order, the company doesn't reply. It was the first and last time I've ordered anything from this company and from now on I will not recommend it to anyone.

L'ordine sarebbe infatti dovuto arrivare il 22 agosto (come hanno scritto sul loro sito). Oggi è il 25 e, non solo è sparita ogni forma di tracciabilità, ma nessuno si è permesso di rispondere alle mail o a contattarmi diversamente per aiutarmi a capire cosa stia succedendo. Esperienza di acquisto (che non so come andrà a finire) FORTEMENTE NEGATIVA.

Ik had eerst een paar vragen over een ereader en die weren snel en netjes per email. Ik had een boox palma wit besteld alleen ik had niet gezien dat deze in back order stond. Ik kreeg gelijk een email dat ik kon kiezen voor een zware of wachten op de witte. Ik wilde wachten op de witte deze.zpu over een paar dagen binnen komen. Een paar dagen later inderdaad de ereader al binnen. Vind de communicatie erg goed en netjes. Ben zeer tevreden.

Vroeger, heel vroeger, als je iets nodig had of eens wilde kijken of er nog nieuwe ontwikkelingen waren rond je interesses, ging je naar een winkel in “de stad”. Als je de deur binnenging klonk er een belletje en dan kwam er al snel iemand, die blij was iemand te verwelkomen, trots als hij was op zijn fijne zaak. Vaak kon je met die persoon honderduit praten over de koopwaar, je werk, je hobby, het weer… Echt contact zeg maar. Dat ziet er tegenwoordig jammer genoeg vaak heel anders uit, maar soms, heel soms, winkelend op het Web land je op een webshopsite waar je het gevoel hebt, dat dat belletje gaat en je iemand ontmoet die van zijn winkel houdt en zijn klanten daar verwelkomt en als het gezellig wordt honderduit kan praten en waar je altijd een stukje vrolijker weer weg gaat.

Stylus van Boox notepad kapot, in eerste instantie direct opvolging per email met aangeboden opties ter vervanging, vervolgens stilte en moeite contact te krijgen. Toch uiteindelijk contact verkregen en nette afhandeling tot nu toe.

We had a bad issue with the shipper however, they treated it perfectly and my tablet just arrived without any issue.

Er wordt een factuur voorgesteld waarbij de BTW zal afgehandeld worden via hun maar daar slagen ze niet in.
Voor België zou ik voorstellen om een Belgisch verkoop punt te zoeken of eventueel een goede concurrent zoals reMarkable.

Was initially hesitant to trust them with a +€800 order, but would gladly do so again.
Zeer goede service. Ik moest een product retour sturen en dit is netjes opgepakt. Goed contact/ duidelijke communicatie.

This is a revised version of my 1-star review, after successfully agreeing with the seller a full refund of my purchase of a Boox Note Air 4C.
Things did not start well because PostNL decided to bide their time before actually shipping the parcel they had been keeping in their warehouse for 15 days after receiving it from the seller. Initially it did not look like I was getting much help (or at all) to expedite things with the courier, which was the reason of my negative review.
After such a long period of time of this delicate piece of software being maybe moved around in a warehouse, maybe not safely enough, I informed Lex (the guy running the business) I would reject the delivery if shipment actually resumed, which it finally did.
Lex won me over by understanding my position, and accepting to arrange a full refund the moment I would be able to prove the rejection of the delivery. Now that the refund is done, everything is ok, and there is no reason to leave such a bad review here.
The reason why this is not a 5-star review is that the way things went did not let me evaluate the NA4C I purchased from Lex.
I recently purchased the Onyx Boox Go 10.3 tablet from this store, and my experience has been outstanding from start to finish. The staff took the time to answer all my questions (namely, about shipping to Portugal and the expected arrival time). The purchase process was smooth, with efficient service and clear communication.
The tablet was delivered in pristine condition, and I've been thoroughly impressed with its performance for reading and note-taking.
I highly recommend this shop for its professionalism, excellent product selection, and customer-focused approach. This will definitely be my go-to place for any future Onyx Boox purchases.
