So many thanks to DogsTrust Shoreham for helping us find our Molly :-)
We lost our lovely dog of nearly 14 years just after Christmas. Anyone who has lost a dog understands how painful the whole thing is... Three months later we realised the void in our lives was a dog although we thought that we couldn't possibly have another :-) We thought long and hard and decided that we would look at Rescue Dogs and were so glad we did. We have now had our Molly for four months and she has been wonderful. She is much loved and cared for and is quite a well known character in our neighbourhood. She grows in confidence everyday and never ceases to amaze and amuse us. Considering her awful first years this is amazing. None of this would have been possible without the understanding, support and sheer professionalism of the amazing DogsTrust and ALL the staff who were involved in the whole adoption from start to finish. With their advice, support and understanding we look forward to every day with our amazing Molly. My wife and I cannot recommend the DogsTrust enough. Thank you to everyone at the DogsTrust both locally and nationally.

Happy experience
The centre was absolutely pristine, with lots of inside space. The fields area was large and perfectly safe to meet and take new dog for a walk. It was clear that animal welfare was at the forefront of every interaction.
The staff were very friendly and informative. The behaviour talk was particularly useful (for me and new dog).

Dogs Trust Salisbury Rehoming Centre…
Dogs Trust Salisbury Rehoming Centre were brilliant.
The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and could answer my many questions. We felt supported throughout the adoption process and have access to a comprehensive post adoption service as well.
I've never adopted a dog before but if we do again in the future Dogs Trust would be our first choice.

We are very happy with the experience we have had with the Dogs trust.
Everything was explained to us about the adoption process and we were happy meeting our new dog in the living room setting.
There was one time we didn't have any one to speak to but it was soon resolved.

We had our last dog from dogs trust who…
We had our last dog from dogs trust who has now sadly passed away. We are now trying to adopt another one but not much luck. Everytime we find a dog or dogs we tell them we're interest and next day those dogs vanished from the site. So far we've not had much contact from digs trust at all. Very disappointing.

We can see that you applied to adopt on 11th June 2026, and our rehoming team have been looking closely at the details you provided about your home, lifestyle and preferences, alongside their dog's behaviours, needs and requirements.
Every dog has different requirements, so we look at everything on a case-by-case basis. Our rehoming centres work through a large volume of active applications, so while each application is reviewed frequently, the team aren’t able to reach out unless they’ve identified a dog they feel could be suitable.
We know the silence can feel like nothing is happening, but we do want to reassure you that your application is being actively considered behind the scenes, and the team will be in touch as soon as a potential match is found. Sometimes it can be quick; for others, it may take several weeks, a couple months or, occasionally, a little longer.
You’re welcome to keep an eye on our website and let us know if any dogs catch your interest by emailing us at info@dogstrust.org.uk or calling us on 0303 003 00 00. Whilst this isn't the same as applying for a specific dog, it does help to guide our team's matches, as it helps them to understand better the type of dog you are looking for.
You’re also welcome to visit your local centre for general browsing. They’re open from 12–4pm every day except Wednesdays and Fridays, and you can meet the team and see some of the dogs we have available for rehoming.
