The potted Lady Emma Hamilton rose was…
The potted Lady Emma Hamilton rose was undersized (8 mm diameter single main stem) with a small root ball surrounded by large bark chips. If it manages to survive through a New England winter, I would expect it to be three or four years before it becomes a reasonable size plant. The quality of this rose, which was finally made available after several years on a wait list, was disappointing in light of my previous experience with David Austin bare root roses.

Bad communication
I was not notified when the roses shipped, they were delivered on Saturday while we were away for the weekend! They stayed outside in the heat for two days! They are not looking to great but doesn’t look dead yet

I recently purchased the Lady Emma…
I recently purchased the Lady Emma Hamilton rose from David Austin Roses and have mixed feelings about my experience. On the positive side, the shipping was excellent; they adhered to my request for expedited shipping and delivered the rose on time, which I truly appreciated.
However, I am quite disappointed with the quality of the rose itself. It arrived as a seedling with all the leaves turning yellow and showing signs of being sick, particularly with black spot disease. This has left me concerned about its health and potential for thriving in my garden.
While I commend David Austin for their prompt delivery service, I do hope that they can improve the quality control of their plants in the future. Overall, I was excited about the rose but feel let down by its condition upon arrival.

Normally, after planting and following the care instructions, your plant will begin to thrive, with robust new growth in the next 3-6 weeks. Thank you for your review. There are wide size disparities across our many varieties. Often, we see smaller plants grow rapidly after planting. Please follow the care instructions and if your rose fails to thrive, we will gladly replace it as part of our 5 year guarantee.
Best Roses!
This is 3rd year i'm adding DA roses to my garden. So far these were best in comparing to other roses from the local nurseries. Roses bloom as described in their site. Customer service is really good, they replaced one of my rose twice.
Only issue is we need to pay shipping cost close to the cost of a rose if we order just 1.

Great Service, outstanding products!
I have been buying my roses from David Austin website for 4 yrs now. They have been phenomenal with customer service. I have a mislabeled rose that they replaced with out a problem. I had few bare roots that did not make it, they had replaced them too. And the rest of the roses I got from them are thriving. The last batch I got was Princess Ann standard tree, they are looking good as well and they had replaced my LEH that did not make it from last fall. Great service, outstanding products!
