Currys - Slough Omdömen 

I purchased a laptop £699.00 in store. The delivery was made to my home on Sunday 27th September 2026 by DPD. I provided the delivery PIN as requested and accepted the parcel. However, when I opened the parcel, I discovered that it contained a pack of toilet roll rather than the laptop I had purchased.
Now I am having HELL to get a resolution or refund. I am so disappointed at my treatment and curry’s. I have a store account which I will be closing.

Made three visits to store in connection with new laptop. No-one seemed interested.

Currys Slough is a joke of a store, awful service, nobody knows what they are doing. I waited 25 mins for them to give me the printer that was in a room behind the collection desk. The staff demeanour is one of apathy and acceptance that yes the service will be baaaad. I only used Currys because I had a voucher, I would never use them normally for this reason.

The assistant was good and knowledgeable, he detailed how he was giving me a discount on my goods but without explaining he put on £105 of care services (extended warranty’s) which I wouldn’t normally buy. I understood what he was doing and the total price I paid was still the ticketed price of the goods but he discounted them and topped the total up with care products. Does he get a kick back on care products? Anyway I have cancelled the care products and been told I’ll receive a refund within 28 days by cheque! The guy was slick and never asked me if I wanted to buy care products.. It seemed dodgy to me.

Was given 4 hour window, they arrived about 30 mins earlier than that, to collect old broken freezer items. They had new one installed before they they were originally due to arrive.

Delivery and installation great, lost a star because of the ordering process, it would not let me add a further product because I had used a partner promotion code.

I purchased a chopper machine from Currys with a replacement warranty. I accept that it was my responsibility to read the full terms and conditions of the warranty before purchasing. However, I was genuinely surprised and disappointed when I went to have the product replaced after it was accidentally damaged.

I later discovered, within one of the appendices of the warranty terms, that accidental damage was not covered. This came as a big shock to me, as I had understood the warranty to provide replacement cover.

In comparison, I have had a much better experience with Argos. I have purchased several products from Argos, and on occasions when items were accidentally damaged or broken, they have provided replacements without making the process unnecessarily difficult.

Based on my personal experience, I have found Argos to offer a much better warranty experience and customer service. It feels like money well spent when you know you are getting good support after your purchase.

Unfortunately, my experience with Currys has been extremely disappointing. I experienced this issue on 12 September 2026. I will never buy from Currys again, and I will not recommend Currys to anyone. In my opinion, it is simply not worth spending your money there.

On the other hand, based on my experiences, Argos is a seller I would happily recommend, particularly for the level of customer support I have received when dealing with damaged products.

We had an exceptional experience at Curry’s Store at Slough today. One of their staff named Mr Chaudary was incredibly helpful from start to finish. He was professional, responsive, and genuinely committed to resolving my concern.

What really stood out was the personal attention and willingness to go above and beyond to make sure everything was handled smoothly. The communication was excellent, and I felt valued as a customer throughout the entire process.

It’s rare to come across such outstanding customer service, and I truly appreciate the effort and care shown. I would highly recommend them and will definitely be returning in the future. A fantastic experience!

Great service. Very polite and helpful

They charged me twice to give away one item because they couldn't print receipt.

Payment was gone through from my account and i showed from my wallet and bank app, but they insist to charge me again to hand over the item.

Suggestion required for formal complain to Ombudsman agency, as i realised Curry 'Tech Seller' are using Windows 10 22H2 which is expired a year ago. This is risking to our personal data.

Running Windows 10 version 22H2 carries a moderate-to-high security risk because Microsoft ended official support and regular security updates for it on October 14, 2025.(Umbrella Cyber Security)

The staff at Currys are most helpful. I bought an Epson printer on line and from day one the printer wasn't working as expected. The cartridge light was permanently on although I just replaced new ones which I ordered from Currys. The gentleman I saw at Customer Services were most helpful. He refunded me my money for the cartridges and recommended me a HP printer as a replacement. Am very satisfied with it. Will definitely shop at Currys again.
