We have been with Compass for nearly 3 years now and I can honestly say they are one of the best.
The team are all so friendly and always there for support and guidance.
There is always someone on the end of a phone, so you are never "alone" .
I would definitely recommend this company to anyone that would like to take the fostering journey.

I’m not someone who enjoys writing bad reviews however if this helps anyone reading this to consider another company then please consider elsewhere. Our experience has been horrendous, the communication from the company truly is terrible and our assessing social worker was the rudest person I’ve ever dealt with, my partner agrees and he works in security so has had his fair share of conversations but for a child social worker to insult our maturity, intelligence and accuse us of being passive aggressive whilst she was shouting down the phone at us was truly shocking. I don’t want to go on and on as we have already raised a complaint with the company but sadly several people we spoke to were unhelpful, rude and provided us with next to no information but accused us of not taking this seriously. We completed everything on time but when you have a social worker choosing to watch a football match over booking in home assessments that told us plenty without being shouted at or belittled.

Over the pass 25 years of fostering with Compass, we have consistently received excellent support and training. This has equipped us with the confidence, knowledge, and skills to handle the various challenges and rewards of fostering. Throughout this journey, we've developed a close-knit community around our fostering family and have enjoyed sharing our experiences. We've also encouraged others to consider fostering, helping them explore if it might become a meaningful part of their lives.

We found the process, difficult and arduous, this isn't a negative given the circumstance. The process is incredibly in depth and thorough. To begin with, as with all things it is very overwhelming. We were consistently moving forward at a rather fast pace (pushed by us) however at times we also slowed it down when we thought we were being bogged down by it all. There was the expected never ending middle of the process which we didn't enjoy, however at this point we were also given the contact details of other fosterers who made light of the situation and were a real breath of fresh air.

I have been working as a foster carer with Compass for over 4 years. From the initial phone call through Panel and on to my first placement, the support they gave me was incredible. Additionally, as a single carer they continue to make me feel supported on my fostering journey. For anyone thinking of fostering, you will not regret picking up the phone and having that first chat with Compass.

What stands out most is Compass's commitment to putting children at the centre of everything they do. They work hard to ensure children receive the support they need and encourage foster carers to advocate for them and celebrate their achievements. We feel that our opinions are valued and that we are involved in decisions that affect the children we care for.
The most rewarding part of fostering is seeing children begin to feel safe, develop trust, grow in confidence, and reach milestones they may never have thought possible. Being part of that journey is a privilege and brings us so much fulfilment.
We are proud to foster with Compass. Their ongoing support, commitment to both children and foster carers, and dedication to achieving positive outcomes give us the confidence to continue making a difference in the lives of the children we care for.

Compass Fostering are very child and family orientated. Their communication and support 24/7 is also of huge value. As foster parents we feel our voice is heard and this helps us advocate and meet our child's needs. We find our local office admin staff most approachable and they find the answers to any queries or concerns that we may have. Our SSW provides consistent support and guidance and is partly why our placed child has settled within our safe base. We value too the support and communication provided by the therapeutic service with their support groups, home visits and phone consultations.
Having transferred from a large foster agency two years ago Compass Fostering have restored our faith in fostering and provided peace of mind. We would not hesitate to recommend them as an agency.

Whilst I can’t say we’ve had an easy ride with our fostering journey we can say with hand on heart that the support and guidance we have received from compass has been more than we would have ever expected. Everyone we have met along the way has been friendly and helpful and pointed us in the right direction to support us as carers to support the children in our care including our birth children. We have come across some difficulties that without the support received may have meant an end to the placement and made us second guess being foster carers. I have no words to recommend compass enough but from our supervising social worker to therapy support and trainers along the way they have ensured that we have a very successful placement now and a very happy child that has joined our family.

Choosing to foster with Compass has been one of the best decisions we’ve made. From the very beginning, the support has been incredible. Our supervising social worker is always at the end of the phone when we need advice, and the training provided has really helped us feel confident in our role. It truly feels like a partnership where the carer's voice is valued.

We’ve been fostering with Compass for nearly 8 years and had no experience previously. We have 2 children in our care, long term. Compass offer a fantastic wide range of training which can be tailored to your needs. Their supervising social workers offer brilliant support in challenging time,which are inevitable. We hold regular support meetings with other foster carers to pull each other’s experiences. They offer fun days out (paid for) and activities for the children and foster carers families. You’ll need a good support network to foster and we’ve found that compassionate has this! We love fostering, even though it can be challenging as the rewards out way the challenges. We thoroughly recommend Compass Fostering!

Compass is a lovely company to work for on our experience, it really helps when you find the right social worker to support you. Compass has a straight forward system to use for note recording and evaluations. The whole journey can be a bit nerve wracking but I haven’t met a unsupportive fellow foster carer yet that isn’t afraid to be part of the fostering network.

ALL THIS IS RUBBISH they don't support you at all shocking I have to say the least really they don't pay you when you don't have a child training they pay attention if you do something wrong they claim together and the lies get bigger the poor carer s demoralised please take my advise please read all agency trust pilot because we was one of the unlucky ones with this company all because lies and no evidence assuming this how this business operates

Compass is a experienced and professional company whos there for advice and help whenever you need it they are fab with the children and ourselves as carers i would highly recommend them

Absolute disgrace of a company and wouldn’t p**s on any of them if they was on fire! I wouldn't even give them one star, and for those that have given 5 stars I'm sure they've been paid off. How they sleep of a night i will never know, obviously don’t have a conscience what they do to children is beyond words, causing trauma and then twisting and blaming foster carers. How they luv to gaslight! So corrupt! They don’t care about children all they care about is their pay packet! They will so quickly chuck Foster carers under the bus and trample all over them and have the kids removed in the most traumatising way just so they don’t lose their jobs from the LA instead of looking after the children and putting them first. They dont even take the time to investigate allegations rather they would tell you that you will be deregistered without any say in the matter. And to have them say false accusations about us is beyond disbelief, to have the HOF call me a racist without a single shred of evidence is so wrong in so on so many levels, and for the managers to sit in my home and label my wife as a racist is so unprofessional (and same manager is now HOF in the east region). This is why they crying out for foster carers and so many homes are opening because companies like this with gaslighting workers are just ruthless!! You shouldn’t be social workers! You don’t care about these children in care! You shouldn’t even have kids of your own!

I’ve had a really positive experience during the 10 years I’ve been with Compass. They’ve been very supportive, which has been very important to me and my family. They are always there if I need advice or reassurance and available when I’ve need them. The help and guidance they’ve given to us over the years has been huge, especially during more challenging times, and it’s made such a positive impact on our fostering journey. They are approachable, understanding and genuinely care about both carers and children. I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering fostering.
