I can't say enough great things about CD Japan. I have been a loyal customer for several years, and I have never had a bad experience. I trust them 100% every time I place an order. My CDs and DVDs arrive in perfect condition, I have never had to return an item. They are very generous with coupons and rewards points that allow me to save money on the music I love!

After receiving my order of Japanese CDs and Blu-rays I wanted to provide some positive feedback.

CDJapan packaged all the items ordered very well (bubble wrap, paper padding within a strong cardboard box), and as a result, everything arrived in pristine condition. It was really important to me when ordering items from Japan, to be able to trust that they wouldn't get damaged during shipping to the EU.

The CDJapan website is quite easy to use, and they usually have good product information, including for things like pre-orders.

It was nice that my order shipped (via DHL) before the release date, so that it arrived in the EU only the day after the Japanese release day.

Because of the quality of their service, I recommend CDJapan for ordering Japanese CDs and other media.

Been using this site for Japanese media for over a decade now and it has always been reliable and easy to use. Even their proxy service, where you link a product and they attempt to produce it for you, is pretty easy to use! They’re always the FIRST place I check for new anime merch, music CDs, and video games. They often have coupon codes during (Japanese) holidays, and their loyalty program gets you yen off your order, which has added up to ten dollars off some orders when I hit their promos! Be sure to sign up and let them know your birthday for a 300 yen coupon during your birth month every year! There is so much to love about CDJapan.

I recently received my SHM box set of Elton John's 50th anniversary "Madman Across The Water". I have several other versions including a previous SHM version from 2011.
I selected the 2 disc version but I was most interested in how this release would compare with others of one of my favorite albums.
No need to worry as the remastering of the tapes has been conducted with great authenticity and we now have the best version available.
The open soundstage and the smooth handling of the upper frequencies is amazing with not a hint of harshness. Some versions of this recording can be bass heavy but in this case CD Japan have provided just the right balance of depth and impact.
SHM materials are the key in that they do have a very beneficial affect on the overall sound and smoothness of the discs.
The packaging as usual in mini-album form is flawless.
I also find that CD Japan provide their quality products at most reasonable pricing and at very good value for money.
My collection of SHM's is now 400+.

The loss of the Book service - and the loss of everything I had purchased - has troubled me.

I have been buying from CDJapan since 2004. The service has always been great and the packaging is top quality. They are my first choice for imports from Japan (I live in the UK).
