We were one of the pioneers of high performance bicycles by using oversized aluminium tubing which gave a lighter, stiffer ride and also a technological pioneer with products including the Lefty single sided suspension system in 1999, still fitted to bikes today.

Issues resolved. Great bike

After some initial teething problems with a gravel bike, Cannondale reached out to rectify the issue and were incredibly helpful.

The Topstone 1 I bought is a solid winter training bike

Cannondale a really poor approach to their customers.

I purchased the Cannondale Topstone Alloy Topstone 3
Ac85345 in March 2022. Really pleased with the bike.... until the punctures. The quality of the tyres is so poor relative to the rest of the bike and this has resulted in more punctures in 9 months of riding than I had in 8 years of the road bike I had been using previously. I switched to gravel to give me the option for both road and off road and it appears it cannot do either effectively because of the tyres that are on the bike.
I thought it was the terrain or time of year but after reading the reviews on a cycling website link it was clear that the product was not up to the standard of the rest of the bike.

After contacting Cannondale they told me to get in contact with the store and that was it. No apology for the situation. The store managed to work with tyre manufacturer and get replacements. The shop suggested I go tubeless. I agreed. When the mechanic tried to put them on this morning he said the wheel set wasn't set up for tubeless. I've bought a bike that isn't fit for purpose essentially.

Love the bike but will never buy cannondale again based on the customer experience and how little attention paid to the aspects of the bike that aren't theirs.

Hi Guy, sorry to hear that you've been getting punctures on your Cannondale Topstone. The tyres fitted to this bike are made by WTB who are one of the best tyre brands in gravel and very high quality, but all tyres can puncture I'm afraid.

You mentioned switching from road to gravel, you can experience more punctures on gravel due to the nature of the terrain.

We're sorry to hear that you couldn't set your tyres up 'tubeless' but that bike isn't specified or advertised with a tubeless compatible rim. I hope you've now get a set up that will see you through many miles and smiles on the gravel.

Acquistata una cannondale Topstone - da evitare

Acquistata una cannondale gravel Topstone 4. Usata 7-8 volte (al 90% su strada), mi accorgo da subito che una maera d'aria perde aria. Non era bucata, solo di infima qualità. (parole del ciclista che l'ha sostituita). Poi portata due volte dal meccanico. Cambio poco preciso (Microshift di bassissima qualità). Sostituito deragliatore posteriore per poter cambiare in modo accettabile.
Ora la corona più piccola, insieme alla catena, da sostituire anch'essi! Quando spingo sui pedali col rapporto corto saltano. In sostanza: 1500€ buttati.
Mai più. Da evitare

Worst cycle purchase I ever made.
I bought a Cannondale Supersix Neo3 and the rear hub failed after one month. I then discovered you cannot contact cannondale but have to go through Evans cycles. It took 4 weeks to get the issue resolved. Two months later an electrical fault occurred. Four local Evans shops refused to look at it because they didn’t have the ‘software’ or ‘we don’t do those repairs’. I then had to travel 120 mile round trip twice to an Evans that would look at it. Four weeks later I finally got my bike back. A week later a spoke snapped due to the rear replacement hub being tensioned incorrectly. Three of the four local Evans stated they can’t provide a spoke and the fourth stated they could but I would need to bring in the entire bike. They then said it would be quicker for me to source my own spoke from a specialist and they would fit it!!! Absolutely pathetic customer service and a waste of £3500 for an unreliable cycle. Will never purchase another cannondale again.

Hi Totes, sorry to hear that you have had an issue with the rear hub on your Cannondale. You can contact Cannondale but as you bought the bike from Evans Cycles, returning it to them should be the quickest and most efficient way to deal with any issues. However it looks like this may not have been the case here as we would have expected, so apologies for the level of service you received and we'll look into this particular case to make sure it doesn't happen again.

UPDATE: Have spoken to Evans Cycles staff today who will make store staff aware that spokes are available from HQ in all lengths and quantities plus they will order and distribute more dongles for stores that can be used for the Software updates. They also apologised that the service levels were not as expected.

I purchased a Cannondale from Evans…

I purchased a Cannondale from Evans Cycles (UK) on
22 July 2022. After the bike arrived on 11th Aug 2022 I completed the form to receive a free MIPS helmet (Cannondale Topstone Helmet Promotion) but to date have still not received the helmet. There is no means of contacting Cannondale other than by DM on Facebook and they don't bother responding to that.

Eventually Cannondale responded to this review in November stating "please contact emily@cannondale to resolve". I tried .com & .co.uk, neither of which worked so cannondale just trying to look as though they care for PR purposes when, in fact, they dont.

Absolute Nightmare to Deal With

Probably the worst experience you can have from a “reputable” company, complete lack of any customer service. My bike had a safety recall with a possibility for a serious injury and Cannondale failed to resolve it. Absolute nightmare to deal with. Would not buy another one or recommend anyone to get one, if you value your health and time buy a bike from any other brand, Cannondale does not stand by their products or care about their users.

The bicycle’s fork axle can crack, posing a fall hazard. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and take them to the nearest authorized Cannondale dealer for a free repair. Cannondale dealers will replace the fork free of charge.

I appreciate you looking into this for me and providing me with updates. The retailer I took my bike to for service advised me that they haven’t received any parts from Cannondale nor were provided an ETA to when the parts will be provided/available to them to perform the swap/replacement. Do you have any info regarding this timelines, or can provide me with a contact information for someone locally from Cannondale who I can discus this with? Alternatively can you make arrangements to send these parts to me directly? It seems like I am dealing with “he said she said” situation here and the constant “blame game” between the retailer and Cannondale is not getting my situation resolved. The fact that my only point of contact with Cannondale that garnered any sort of results came from this website further solidifies my dissatisfaction in dealing with Cannondale especially related to a safety recall issue. Thank you.

Thank you for the further update, I'll see what I can find out, parts for a recall that is a decade old might be the issue but there should be some solution for you.

UPDATE: KDF, I am based in the UK, I have been discussing this with my colleagues in the USA and Canada. The information I have is that Cannondale have offered to replace your fork, front wheel and headset free of charge. Please contact your retailer if you wish to proceed with this resolution, thanks.

Confidence restored

Initially I had problem with a rusty chain, but Cannondale responded within hours and helped me understand the problem better.

Hi Jethro, sorry to hear that your chain has rusted on your new Topstone. Unfortunately as most bicycle chains are made of steel, if they get wet they will rust, even when new, although there is normally a nice coating of oil on new chains to help prevent premature corrosion. It should just be surface rust so if you rub your chain down with a chain cleaner and re-lubricate with a bicycle chain lube, you should be good to go. If you are concerned at all, please return it to the shop where you bought it for further inspection. Regards, Emily@cannondale

Free Helmet Tale: Issue and Rectification

I purchased a Cannondale from Evans Cycles (UK) on
22 July 2022. After the bike arrived on 11th Aug 2022 I completed the form to receive a free MIPS helmet (Cannondale Topstone Helmet Promotion) but to date have still not received the helmet. Update 201222: Cannondale has now furnished me with a helmet and it transpires thar the failure was with Royal Mail. My faith in Cannondale is restored....unlike the Royal Mail 😉

Cannondale, Marque à éviter

Marque de vélos à la bonne réputation. Pourtant cela n'est pas mérité. j'ai acheté un vélo électrique de la marque , Cannondale 2022 Treadwell Neo 2, la batterie fonctionne mal et le chargeur est défaillant. Je viens de chercher sur le site pour avoir des informations, Zéro . Pas de numéro de téléphone, ce sont des fantômes... Une marque à éviter absolument.

The "comeandfail" charade.…

How many more reviews am I going to read about the winky comeanfail charades posing as serious machines? Had I been travelling at speed when my shoddy front forks gave way , had I been on a road with traffic I would now be dead. Do" comeandfail" care? One of my problems was choosing a supremely nobby shop. DONT GO TO HAYBALLS CYCLE SHOP IN SALISBURY. iWAS SOLD A "COMEANDFAIL" bike and when it inevitably fell to bits the owner denied selling iffy bikes. Let the cont take me to court and deny that he is.

Cannondale = worst service ever!

Cannondale = worst service ever!

I placed an order for a fork half a year ago as mine got broken with a set delivery date for end of July. Now I have been waiting and waiting and decided to contact the shop that arranged the order through my frame number to have them ask Cannondale what’s going on.
Turns out that Cannondale for whatever reason cancelled the order, as they apparently are not producing the current SuperSix Evo forks in black anymore??? For a frame that is still sold and used by thousands of people? They did not bother to let me know but readily accepted my order in march? I have a complete bike set laying in my basement now that cannot be used as intended!!! I spend thousands of Euros into this crap and these guys just tell me almost a month after original delivery was planned that they don’t produce it anymore? What the heck!! No proper solution presented no words of sorry whatsover.

I can hardly remember being that pissed off ever in my life. That’s the absolute worst service I ever exprienced and that for a so called high-class brand. Absolut last time I will have ever spent a dime on that brand. Been riding Cannondale for almost a decade now but that’s it now.

Schäden können nicht repariert werden

Ja was soll man sagen. die ausreichend negativen Bewertungen geben Aufschluss über den "Service". Aber das ist Cannondale egal. Meine Fahrrad Mountainbike 2016 ist ein Lager ausgeschlagen. Kein Ersatzteil. Schon seit Jahren nicht. Fahrrad somit fast unbrauchbar. Es ist der schlechteste Service rundherum was ich je gesehen habe. Finger weg von Cannondale. Dieses war mein drittes, aber auch letztes. Dass Unternehmen ist sooo schlecht geworden. Klassisches Fehlmanagment.

Slow non existent customer service

Slow non existent customer service. Told they had sent a reply to my question when they clearly didn’t. I wouldn’t by another cannondale on the basis of this. No UK phone number so email only. Onus is on the dealerships and cannondale basically wash their hands once the bike is in your hands.

Diese Firma ist das aller letzte.Gebrochener Rahmen kann pasieren,aber nicht einmal dazu stehen und auf Email zu antworten ist das letze.Ich möche mir nicht ausmalen, wenn bei voller Fahrt bergab der Rahmen bricht.Ich kann nur jedem abraten von Cannondale ein Fahrrad zu kaufen.Hauptsache Profit, der Rest ist egal.

Purtroppo è stata una tragedia il mio…

Purtroppo è stata una tragedia il mio primo acquisto di questa marca di bici.
Costretto più volte a farmi recuperare durante le uscite.
Corona del cambio che perde tutte le viti, la catena che per svariate volte salta, incastrandosi senza possibilità di aggiustarla sul posto. Il rivenditore che mi assicura ricambi originali è poi mi dice che non si trovano e me la rattoppa, sperando......
Da notare che la gravel la adopero 2 volte a settimana su percorsi tranquilli.

All garbage

Funny thing is all of this could have been avoided if they just communicated what was going on and followed through. All people want to know is what’s going on with the service they paid for. It is the absolute basics of customer service.

Ordered a bike on the 12th of June. ($1500.00) I chose a certified dealer that was the closest physically from my home. Was going to ride bike home. Expected delivery week after order. Fell on a holiday. UPS says they will deliver the next day. I check it gets scanned but no delivery. UPS website specifically states “package is on its way”. I check everyday for a week. The website never changes”on its way” but the package is never scanned again. I call UPS. They say if it has not been scanned in a day it is lost. (40 lb box the size of a small coffin.) ok why did the website say it was on the way????? I have to make a claim on June 28th. I did not loose the bike but I got to do the leg work. SMH I make the claim. Within 28 min they claim it is lost. (Meaning they never looked for it. Expected lost, damage, or theft.) I wait a week nothing from anyone. Call UPS. They say call Cannondale. I do that. They are clueless but very willing to help. I give the info they inform me they will call me back. I wait another week…no call. I call again another person that knows nothing we do the dance again. They say they will call me back…no call. I write a bad but accurate review of the bike I never got. I get a call the day saying a bike is being shipped. ANOTHER week later I have no info about a shipment or refund. I call AGAIN. I get put on hold for awhile then told the manager wants to deal with me and is in a meeting will call me. Ok…(Why this needs a manager…I don’t know???) The manager calls when I am busy and I can’t take the call. Ask me to call back and says will get back to me later in the day. I call back leave a message and NEVER got a call back.
My entire experience has made me think this is the most incompetent customer service department I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I have a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to Cannondale and it has nothing to do with the actual product.

Never got to talk to the customer service manager. Felt like he was avoiding me. Never in his office always in a meeting only his lackeys call me now.

I canceled the bike order. We shall see if I get my money back.

After 6weeks of dealing with this…I realized I do not want to enter in a relationship with this company. So many red flags I thought it was a Trump rally. Sadly…I really liked their bikes.

Total lack of customer service

My husband bought an expensive bike from this company last October, within 2 months it had developed problems, these were rectified by the dealership it was bought through although not covered under the warranty. Within weeks yet more problems, another very lengthy round trip for parts to be replaced. It transpires that mechanisms had never been lubricated at manufacture causing parts to malfunction .
Despite repeated attempts to have answers from the company over a period of months he is no further forward, each e-mail sent generates a different complaint number asking that he respond, we can’t seem to have any answers to the initial complaint; he has also asked that they telephone him but there has been no response from Cannondale.
As a last resort a dealership has contacted them asking that they telephone to discuss the issues raised but again nothing. Unless you have access to a medium there is no way of contacting them and in short I don’t think this company really cares, any level of customer service is not high on their agenda.
