This is a review of my Cannondale Top Stone Carbon 2, 2021 model. Simple and direct. DON'T BUY IT. It's the worse bike I ever purchased. If you decide to upgrade to higher end parts, good luck. They have this Ai system that goes against all standards for bikes. If you want to upgrade wheels you will have to have it redished as the frame is not compatible with any other wheel on the market apart of their own Hollowgram wheels which are a piece of garbage. They won't hold air when set tubeless. Even the bike mechanic couldn't do it. You won't be able to upgrade it to eletronic groupset because you will need a chain set which is compatible with their Ai nosense. Don't even ask about the rear hub, oh god, give me patience. Who does that. To add to the burden you will need a whole new hub if you want to upgrade to Sram AXS. They don't give full detais of their nonsense bikes when advirtising it for sale. Whatever you do, stay away from cannondale. You will regret it if you buy one.

Pessima esperienza con questo marchio.. Nel 2021 acquisto una scalpel carbon 4 dopo ne anche due anni il carro posteriore si spezza 😱😱.. La cannodale mi risponde che non possono passarla in garanzia 🤮🤮perché secondo loro la bici ha preso un colpo 🤮🤮.. Ovviamente la bici non ha preso nessun colpo, il carro posteriore ha ceduto mentre ero in salita e meno male perché se mi sarebbe successo in discesa povero me..Che delusione

Achtervork carbon afgescheurd thv derailleurpad. Fiets steeds prima onderhouden. Lifetime waranty blijkt niets waard te zijn bij Cannondale, zelfs niet nadat ik er reeds 3 fietsen van het merk gekocht heb. Dealer waar ik hem gekocht had, had een foute garantiesticker in mijn boekje gekleefd en blijkt dat ze destijds geen gegevens van de aangekochte en verkochte fietsen bijhielden.
Cannondale stuurt me gewoon wandelen zonder enige compensatie/overleg/moeite.
NOOIT MEER CANNONDALE voor mij!!!

I purchased a brand new Cannondale…

I purchased a brand new Cannondale Topstone Carbon 1 Lefty in June directly online from Cannondale who shipped it to a local bike shop (but it was purchased from Cannonade directly). Within less than 2 months the lefty suspension stopped working and the local bike shop could not fix it. Instead of Cannondale sending immediately a replacement suspension (as one would expect for a brand new bike that was almost $8K and is less than 2 months old), Cannondale requested the suspension to be sent to them. It took 6 weeks before receiving the suspension back. Cannondale did sent an email apologizing for this delay, but at the same time they then sent the suspension back by ground shipping, which added another week delay. Cannondale offered a $150 credit for the inconvenience, but never followed up on this despite my enquiring about it. All this is extremely poor customer service resulting in loss of my bike use for a prolonged period of time which could have been avoided if Cannondale just sent the replacement suspension. Shipping then the repaired suspension via ground when already a long delay occurred is completely unacceptable. When an item is brand new, then it must be replaced and should not incur such an unacceptable delay.

Qualità dei componenti e gestione della garanzia imbarazzanti

Treadwell Neo, dopo 2 anni e 3 mesi la bici smette di accendersi. Sempre tenuta in box, curata maniacalmente, 150 ore di utilizzo in totale.
Responso del dealer autorizzato (Cicli Vedovati): batteria (incredibilmente) guasta, la casa non riconosce la garanzia (essendo scaduta da BEN 3 mesi), costo di sostituzione € 750.
Scritto a Cannondale a più riprese, non rispondono neanche. Mai più, marchio completamente decaduto, vive sui fasti del passato, qualità delle componenti infima.

J'ai connu la même mésaventure que…

J'ai connu la même mésaventure que celle évoquée par Philippe sur le forum. Un défaut de fabrication sur le cadre et, malgré l'un des principaux arguments de vente de la marque à savoir "la garantie à vie", toujours un prétexte pour ne pas prendre en charge la réparation ou le changement de la pièce. J'ajoute que la qualité de fabrication et la fiabilité sont inversement proportionnelles du prix d'achat des vélos. Le rapport qualité/prix est catastrophique. Une marque à éviter absolument. Un vélo qui fait un bruit insupportable pour un prix supérieur à 8 000 €.

Marque à éviter. J'ai eu la malchance d'acheter un vélo haut de gamme (Super Six Evo - 8 000 €) comportant un défaut de fabrication au niveau du cadre (insert de porte-bidon trop large m'obligeant à le fixer avec un adhésif... bref je roule avec un vélo faisant un bruit de casseroles entrechoquées). Refus de la marque de le réparer sous garantie (marque qui ne peut pas être jointe directment, il faut passer par le revendeur). En conclusion, du bas de gamme au prix fort !

Crash Replacement Wheel...Ha

I find it hard to write this review because when I found my SystemSix I immediately fell in love! However, my latest and first interaction with Cannondale has left a sour taste in my mouth. The lack of empathy from both Cannondale directly and their local bike shop reps made me feel like I was not a proud owner and customer who spent my hard earn money. I am an avid cyclist who fell in love during Covid and picked up crit and road racing. Within the short time frame I have managed to win multiple crits within the area. On an unfortunate day I damaged my rim during a club ride. I was confident that it would have been taken care of because the brand reputation Cannondale has. To my dismay, no such luck. Apparently my incident fell 2 months outside of their warranty. I have spent high dollars to obtain this beautiful machine but to Cannondale i am a mere "thank you for your money, next customer"

Right from the start of this incident, I've experienced an utter lack of support from both Cannondale and their local bike shop representative. The exchange has been ongoing for weeks, during which the representative insisted that damaged wheels weren't eligible for warranty coverage. I had to provide evidence from Cannondale's own website to counter this claim. Interestingly, the representative attempted to dismiss the evidence by stating that the website was European and didn't apply to the US.

Dissatisfied with this explanation, I conducted further research, as the representative had no time to show me where on the US site it indicated that wheel damage wasn't covered, unless stemming from a manufacturing defect. I proceeded to share the information regarding the crash replacement warranty available on the US site. Initially conceding that I was correct, the representative then came back to inform me that I had exceeded the 2-year warranty period by just a few months.

It's evident that the representative lacked a genuine concern for my situation and possessed inadequate knowledge of Cannondale's policy.

As much as I do love my bike. This type of customer service has only led me to take my money and my influence of my fellow club riders elsewhere. So much I rather spend X amount of money on a brand new bike elsewhere rather than replace my cannondale wheel. That’s how much I am disappointed and dissatisfied. Furthermore I have applied electric tape across the branding of my system six as I refuse to continue winning races with a brand that clearly does not have my best interest at heart.

Ich würde am liebsten gar kein Stern geben.
Ich habe eine fully e bike von cannondale gekauft und von Anfang an nur Probleme. Liquid-life.de hat ein perfekt zusammen gebautes Fahrrad versprochen, ja Piste Kuchen. Musste hier in der Werkstatt meines vertrauen neu aufgebaut werden.
Der Rahmen ist so schlecht lackiert, das nach 100 km der Lack ab geblättert ist. Und sie wollten das Fahrrad nicht zurück nehmen, fast 5 Monate hat es gedauert, ich musste aber erst mit meiner Rechtsschutz drohen. Jetzt haben sie es vor zwei Wochen das Fahrrad abgeholt aber ich habe mein Geld noch immer nicht wieder, der Zwischenhändler liquid-life.de sagt, das sie die Telefon Leitung angeblich abgestellt haben und keiner mehr ran und auch sich nicht zurück meldet. Ich bin so sauer, wie kann man so mit einen Kunden umgehen. Nie wieder cannondale!!!!!!!!! 6000 Euro hat das Fahrrad übrigens gekostet und die spielen mit einen, unglaublich ist das. Ich bin gespannt wie lang das jetzt noch dauern wird bis ich meine 6000 Euro wieder habe.

Topstone 4

Bought from evans in November 2022 free hub has gone now bottom bracket bearings are creaking, bike is under warranty but yet they won’t fix it cause it’s wear and tear, poor customer service, can’t even contact cannondale direct about the warranty, like the bike but very unreliable and you get fobbed off by everyone, I have older bikes that are still running on the original bearings 4 plus years later

Topstone 1 Gravel - Unreliable

Bought a Cannondale Topstone 1 to commute to work, using a mixture of roads, towpaths and walkways. I average 90 miles a week on it and have done 2500 miles since September 2022. I have had nothing but problems with it. So far, a new bottom bracket, new Free Wheel Hub and wheel bearings. I really look after it, but it spends more time being repaired than I use it and have it well maintained by my local fantastic bike shop. An upgraded Hub was put on, 200 miles later, it is playing up again!! There are also constant creaks and clonks which drive me mad. For £2200, it really is unreliable and not worth the money. I should have learnt my lesson after having similar issues with a Synapse some years ago

Failing freehub fixed for free

I had a problem with a repeatedly failing freehub on my Topstone, which I think was due to a seal being missing from the axle when the bike was assembled. It was initially very hard to get in touch with anyone from Cannondale (hence 4 and not 5 stars), but once I did (using the email on this page) they responded instantly and sent me a replacement freehub + seal, free of charge. This is two years (and two freehubs) since I bought the bike, so they could have washed their hands of it.. No quibble and no issues, just a goodwill "to keep you rolling".

Good bikes, AWFUL service

My husband and I purchased bikes and some accessories from Cannondale at the beginning of May. We have gone on numerous bike rides already and LOVE our bikes (we both have cx 5 bikes).

However, we decided against keeping the accessories we bought and learned very quickly how awful customer service is for Cannondale. We have contacted customer service 5-6 times, spoken to 2 representatives, and still had to leave 4 voicemails and have NOT heard back yet. It is ridiculous that there seems to only be one person that can complete returns and that it is so difficult to get a hold of them.

DO NOT buy anything from Cannondale unless you are 110% positive you will love the item and will keep it. From my experience, you will likely not be able to return anything.

Fuyez Cannondale et les fourches Suntour

Acheté en 12/2020, la fourche du vélo (Suntour) de ce Cannondale SL4 est déja morte après une dizaine de sorties sans terrain compliqué - comme changer la cartouche de gaz est trop cher en main d'oeuvre, il faut changer toute la fourche soit 280 Eur pour un vélo à 1000 Eur - La garantie ne joues plus après 2 ans et ils ne veulent même pas regarder s'il y avait un défaut - Fuyez Cannondale et surtout Suntour

CAAD 10

I used to own a CAAD 10. I had a bad crash where I flipped over a car bonnet and almost lost a finger. Can I blame the bike for this? Not really. The CAAD 10 is not a great bike with poor handling and a jerky jarring feel. You're likely to lose control of it and crash. It's just an opinion, this bike isn't safe.

If the bike was damaged then we do have a crash replacement policy that you can discuss with your local authorised dealer to get you back on your bike. Even though it is quite an old model, the CAAD10 shares geometry with our current road bikes which are very well regarded. Obviously we don't know the circumstances of your particular accident but the handing and ride characteristics of our CAAD series are renowned to be excellent. Ride safe, Cannondale.

Cannondale false advertising

Purchased a Cannondale Quick 3 based on sale price and specs on the corporate site. When I came home from the local dealer where I purchased it, realized the complete drive system was cheaper microshit components vs the Shimano spec on the Cannondale website. Contacted Cannondale Canada, who basically said read the fine print, we can deliver you any garbage we like. Pointed out it was fraud to advertise a bike based on specs you knowingly know is misrepresentative (the bikes had been shipped to dealers with the cheaper components when Cannondale put the sale on). They didn’t care.
Luckily the dealer was aghast at the situation and replaced the drive system with the proper spec on their own dime.
Cannondale and their parent company Pon Holdings should be ashamed of their behaviour. They are still falsely advertising their product on their website. I will never purchase another Cannondale product (own a High end Cannondale road bicycle as well), and will highlight their behaviour to other cycling colleagues who show an interest in their product. If the volumes were higher, this situation would make a great class action lawsuit.

As you may be aware there has been a global shortage of bike parts in the last couple of years due to the spike in demand in during the pandemic. Bike with facture defects

On April 7, 2023 I bought a bike on the official Cannondale website and when I went to pick up the bike at the store that I chose to assemble it, the bike was full of problems, as the wheels came with factory defects. I have already sent 7 emails to Cannondale and so far I have no response or solution to the problem. shameful for the brand.

Vreselijke ervaring met wat VROEGER…

Vreselijke ervaring met wat VROEGER mijn lievelings merk was. De service is ver te zoeken bij Cannondale. De kwaliteit van de fiets is achteruitgegaan maar de service is geheel verdampt! Mijn fiets van meer dan 5000 Euro heeft al 3 keer nieuwe ketting tandwielen gekregen en trapt nog steeds door. Hierdoor meerdere ongelukken gehad. Na uitvoerig overleg komt mijn fiets na weken weer terug en hebben ze weer geen stap gezet na een definitieve oplossing. Ze nemen de moeite nog niet om mij telefonisch gerust te stellen en leggen alles bij de dealer.

Da werden Sie ignoriert...

Vor einem Jahr habe ich mir ein Cannondale Topstone Topstone 2 gekauft. Ich bin mit dem Fahrrad eigentlich sehr zufrieden. Nach 9 Monaten ist jedoch der Freilauf defekt gewesen, ein Termin in einer Werkstatt stand an. Reparaturkosten von ca. 160 Euro bei einem so neuem und auch nicht günstigen Fahrrad. Soweit so gut. Zwecks Abrechnung habe ich dann Cannondale kontaktiert und trotz unzähliger Nachfragen nicht mal eine kleine Reaktion erhalten. Dann bin ich den Weg über meinen Online Händler gegangen , dass der doch bitte den Hersteller kontaktiert. Auch da, seit Wochen keine Reaktion von Cannondale. Für mich kommt die Firma Cannondale daher wohl nicht mehr in Frage. Trotz dem guten Fahrrad (abgesehen von dem defekten Freilauf), bin ich enttäuscht. Es scheint nicht im Interesse des Herstellers zu sein, auf Kundenanfragen zu reagieren. Schade, das nicht mal Händler eine Reaktion bekommen. Was wäre wohl, wenn es ein Problem wäre, bei dem man wirklich auf den Hersteller angewiesen ist. Dann ist man wahrscheinlich aufgeschmissen.
Nachtrag: Die Reaktion hier auf der Site von Cannondale kann ich so nicht teilen. Zudem erklärt es ja nicht, wieso sich von Cannondale weder an den Händler noch an mich als Kunden wendet. Auch hier hätte man die Möglichkeit gehabt etwas zu lösen, für mich klingt das alles nach Verantwortung hin und her schieben. Der nachtragende bin ich als Kunde. Kein Cannondale mehr für mich, schade. Interessant ist auch, dass hier recht schnell reagiert wurde, auf meine email seit Monaten nicht. Es deckt sich ja auch mit den anderen schlechten Bewertungen hier.

Wenn es sich um ein Nicht-Cannondale-Teil (Shimano / Sram / Microshift) handelt, wird die Garantie für dieses entsprechende Teil von der jeweiligen Marke und nicht direkt von Cannondale abgedeckt, aber der Händler sollte sich dessen bewusst sein. Bitte sprechen Sie mit dem Händler, bei dem Sie das Fahrrad gekauft haben. Vielen lieben Dank.
