Used to be good

I have been a very satisfied BNE customer in the past. I am also technically versed.

Before my last trip, I wanted to top up my BNE eSIM for USA. This is something that would just take a couple of minutes in the past.

My old eSIMs cannot be topped up anymore. New eSIM for USA was activated after more than 1/2 hour. They claim it only takes seconds, but that is not true.

Now that I have 3 eSIMs from BNE it is super difficult to select the desired eSIM. Under iOS the eSIM labels get “restored” to some generic value after deactivation of the eSIM. 24/7 support did not react via WhatsApp. In the past support would help with issues.

In summary, I was able to get the eSIM working. But out of convenience I decided to give up on the remaining data credit I had on my old eSIM. And the whole procedure of setting up the new eSIM, figuring out how to select the correct one, etc. consumed much more time (hours) instead of minutes. I am sure that if BNE support had reacted, things would have been sorted out quicker.

Ideally, BNE would automatically notice that you are setting up a new eSIM for a region that you already had. Then they could offer to transfer remaining data from the legacy sim to the new one. This way you can delete the old eSIM and making selection of the eSIMs easier.

I am sorry to have recommended BNE to my friends in the past, because without the technical knowledge and patience they would not be able to resolve the problems I faced.

• It is not exactly true that you need a new eSIM for every location.
The reason we introduced new eSIM profiles is to offer better rates and more optimized coverage for each region. Most customers appreciate this because it allows them to access more competitive pricing.

• Regarding the activation time:
Activation indeed takes only a few seconds when the local network coverage is excellent.
If you are in an area with weak or unstable connectivity, activation can take longer — unfortunately, this depends entirely on local networks and is not something we can regulate or speed up on our end.

• About the eSIM activating the wrong country profile:
Could you please reach out and explain the issue in a bit more detail? This will help us investigate what happened with the “country C********” activation and assist you properly.

We also apologize if you did not receive a timely response from support. That is not the level of service we aim to provide.

Txt messaging does not work. Slow chat responses .

Purched esim and phone numbers to use in China.
The data plan was slow but worked ok. The phone numbers were ti be used to send TXT messages and never worked. May chats with customer service. After 2 weeks of slow response I was told they had a system problem so text messaging would not work. I needed this services for 2 factor authorization.

Why BNE SIM Is the Worst Service I’ve Ever Used

They won’t acknowledge any support ticket you submit, and their service goes down every few hours. When I asked for clarification, every time they respond with 'We will get back to you soon'. After daily following up to ask whether the issue would be resolved (2 weeks have passed by) they keep replying with the same generic message: "We will get back to you soon, thanks for waiting bladiebla"

I finally had enough and requested a refund, guess what they respond with this time.... "Thanks for the patience, we will get back to you soon". It’s honestly the worst and the most infuriating support experience I’ve ever had. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this one truly takes the cake. I wouldn't suggest anyone to use bnesim.com

Regarding the service interruptions: our system does not go down every few hours. However, we did experience a few disruptions recently due to external events outside of our control (for example, the Amazon outage). Whenever such incidents occur, we immediately publish status updates inside our app so users can stay informed in real time.

As for the delays and repetitive replies from support — there is absolutely no excuse for that. You’re right to feel frustrated, and we sincerely apologize. This is not the customer experience we strive to deliver, and we are addressing this internally to prevent it from happening again.

Perfekt!

Weltklasse – und eine unbeschreibliche Erleichterung für meinen Türkei-Urlaub!
Endlich Schluss damit, jedes Jahr teuer eine neue SIM-Karte kaufen zu müssen. Einen Tag vor der Reise habe ich die eSIM bestellt, in weniger als einer Minute eingerichtet – und das war’s.

Nach der Landung in der Türkei habe ich einfach meine deutsche Hauptleitung deaktiviert, Bnesim aktiviert, und sofort war ich online. WhatsApp-Anrufe funktionierten problemlos, die Verbindung war durchgehend stabil und absolut zuverlässig.

Auch die App überzeugt: Trotz Warnungen, dass manche Dienste im Ausland gesperrt sein könnten, ließ sich Guthaben jederzeit problemlos nachladen. Alles läuft reibungslos, modern und absolut zeitgemäß – genau so muss es heute sein!

Besonders begeistert haben mich die Preise: 50 GB für nur etwa 20–25 Euro, ich selbst habe mir gleich 100 GB für 46 Euro gebucht. So brauche ich mir unterwegs keine Gedanken mehr über Datenvolumen zu machen, zumal ich es bequem in der App nachverfolgen kann.

Mein Fazit: Null Probleme, volle Empfehlung. Einfach, günstig und zuverlässig – besser geht’s nicht!

I referred lots of users to bnesim previously, and as a part of their previous referral campaign I earned dozens of 7 euro discount coupon available on my account. Today when I logged into my account I saw that I had no coupon codes anymore, all coupons disappeared from my account without notice. They had no expiry date, and I was never informed they would be deactivated. When I contacted support, they only apologized and offered no resolution. Will not refer anyone nor suggest this provider anymore, there are better and professional providers out there.

Edit: Nobody contacted me, they are charging my card even though my card is not saved in their systems and auto renewal is off. I'm paying for the phone number I cannot use!!!

Use to be good

Use to be good. I contacted and chatted with their customer rep for weeks when I was traveling when the eSIM did not work. The only response I got was how they understood my frustration yet never did anything about it, didn’t even bother refunding me the amount that they charged - shows how much they care. I had already gotten a different eSIM from a different supplier which worked fine which means their system is rubbish now and they don’t care about Customer Services at all. Avoid and do your research before buying anything from them.

Good luck if you need support

Good luck if you ever need support. I purchased a package and had been using it, but I couldn't access my account. The password reset didn’t work, and support couldn’t resolve the issue for two weeks.

Update: After 20 days and only after my trip, they finally said my purchase had somehow been mismatched with their reseller. It’s now fixed, and I can access my account.

Vorsicht bei den aufladbaren Prepaid-Daten

Ich habe immer gerne die prepaid-Datenpakete gebucht, die angeblich laut Werbung kein Verfallsdatum haben. Nun ist es mir aber schon öfters passiert, dass meine gebuchten Pakete (über 10GB!!) über Nacht ohne Ankündigung oder Erklärung oder Hinweis auf 0 gesetzt wurden. Auf Nachfrage über Support wurde mir schwarz auf weiß geantwortet, dass diese beworbenen Pakete natürlich trotzdem ein „Verfallsdatum“ haben. Diese „unlimited“, ablauffreien Pakete verfallen also doch -laut Support-und zwar nach eine „unbestimmten Zeit“ (zwischen 1 und 3 Jahre). Hätte ich das vorher gewusst, wäre ich hier kein Kunde geworden und bei der -um einiges billigeren- Konkurrenz fündig geworden. Zudem ärgert mich es tierisch, dass die Datenpakete einfach so ohne Hinweis oder Vorwarnung auf null gesetzt werden und man das erstmals gar nicht merkt. Es gibt auch keine richtige Statistik. Daher hat die ganze Firma einen sehr „Scamer“-haftigen Beigeschmack.

Update 16.7.25: Habe nun eine email bekommen, dass alles nur ein Fehler war und die ungenutzten Daten natürlich mir gehören . Meine 15gb wurden wieder aufgeladen. Ich bleibe skeptisch und werde weiter berichten. Aber dafür +2 Sterne.

Only good for Facebook or WhatsApp, but ...

BNESIM Works if you only want to look at Facebook or send WhatsApp messages. If you want to combine it with a MiFi router in order to look at some sites or even to do some work from remote, I would definitely advice against (!) BNESIM. They are blocking quite some sites like Github or even parts of AliExpress and a huge amount more, up-to actually becoming completely useless. Also VPN tunnels are blocked, which I consider a must have.

RedteaGO is a much better and cheaper alternative. I'm not affiliated with RedteaGo, just a happy (100GB) customer after my BNESIM experience.

B.t.w. I contacted BNESIM about this, and they told me they could not do anything about that. They are actually using the service of a company in the UK that blocks the traffic.

Einfach zu bedienende App- Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Einfach zu bedienende App - intuitiv:
Habe 10GB eSIM für den Türkeiurlaub gekauft.
Einfach zu installieren und alles hat perfekt funktioniert:
1. Vor Abflug auf der App oder im Browser bestellen z.B. für die Türkei.
! Es gibt die Möglichkeit für 30 Tage oder zeitlich unbegrenzt (etwas teurer, wenn man öfters in das Land reist, die bessere Variante da das Datenvolumen nicht verfällt )
2. Direkt als e-SIM installiert
3. Am Flughafen in der Türkei eingeschaltet und es hat sofort und ohne Probleme funktioniert. Bei Problemen mit Netz, Netzanbieter einfach manuell ändern.
Und das Beste: Ich habe mit dem Code statt 7,08€ nur 2,08€ für 10 GB und 30 Tage bezahlt:

Bei zeitlich nicht verfallenden Datenvolumen einfach das nächste Mal in dem Land wieder einschalten ohne Zusatzkosten.

We went to Hongkong for vacation last 2…

We went to Hongkong for vacation last 2 weeks ago, I was a little bit scared that it might not work as it is going to be my first time to use it abroad. Thank God it worked well, our travel was very smooth I can immediately post my pictures reel time and message people even outside my hotel. I bought 10 GB which was more than enough with my 4 days travel since I only consumed 3.5 GB during those days. Maybe next time I will only buy 5GB. Overall my experience with BNESIM was perfectly okay and I will still use it on my next trip.

Ich habe BNESIM auf meinem iPhone installiert und bin wirklich begeistert. Die App ist auf Deutsch verfügbar, sehr übersichtlich und optisch ansprechend gestaltet. Die Installation war kinderleicht: App aus dem App Store laden, mit der E-Mail-Adresse registrieren, die Bestätigung im Postfach anklicken – und schon konnte ich in der App den passenden Tarif auswählen.

Die Bezahlung mit Apple Pay lief reibungslos. Innerhalb von nur 3 Minuten hatte ich den QR-Code per E-Mail erhalten. Mit der iPhone-Kamera eingescannt – fertig! In meinem Fall wurde der Tarif für Deutschland sofort aktiviert, und zwar direkt im O2-Netz.

Besonders wichtig für alle, die in die Türkei reisen: Dort muss Datenroaming aktiviert sein, damit alles funktioniert – das klappt aber einwandfrei.

Die App bietet außerdem viele praktische Optionen: Man behält den Überblick über das verbrauchte Datenvolumen und kann zwischen verschiedenen, günstigen Tarifen wählen. Ich habe mich für den Türkei-Tarif entschieden: 20 GB für nur 16,90 € – ein super Preis! Das Beste: Das Datenvolumen verfällt nicht nach 30 Tagen, wie bei vielen anderen Anbietern, sondern bleibt laut Anbieter dauerhaft nutzbar. Ideal also für den nächsten Urlaub, wenn noch Daten übrig sind.

Antalya Urlaub

Ich war in Antalya und habe die App „Bnesim – eSIM“ ausprobiert. Ich hab mir dort ganz easy 10 GB für meinen Türkei-Urlaub geholt. Die Installation war super einfach und alles hat perfekt geklappt.

Don't bother, doesn't work and no refund

Don't bother! I purchased the esim for a holiday in Australia and Bali. Despite numerous attempts I could not get the esim to work. I originally bought one month data intending to extend a further month to cover our stay. On our return I contacted customer services and was told there is a 14 day refund policy and they couldn't refund me as I hadn't contacted them within that time. They acknowledged that I was inconvenienced and couldn't contact them as my phone wasn't working but still stuck to being unable to refund me. Disgraceful. If you are considering using this company I strongly suggest you skip by and look elsewhere. Waste of time and money! Edit June. Certainly I wasn't made aware of any refund offered and there is no evidence on my account that it was ever offered either. I was told I was not eligible due to the 14 day clause but was away on holiday for 2 months (without my phone working as they acknowledged so unable to contact them earlier) . I did contact the company asap the day after my return.

Företag kan be sina kunder om omdömen via automatiska inbjudningar. Dessa omdömen markeras som verifierade för att visa att det handlar om verifierade upplevelser.
