It was very simple to transfer the proceeds of a matured CD into a Bank5 Connect savings account. It can't be done just using the website, but the whole process was quick and easy. One day turn around.

I like that customer service is fast, not long wait times on hold. And staff are helpful and courteous. And follow to get things done. Truly it is rarity today to have the experience as a customer.

When my CD matured, I requested part of it to be renewed and part sent to my checking account. They completed the transactions as requested and very promptly. Nice job, Bank5 Connect!

I had a CD with Bank5Connect, and in that time, I had a positive experience. After I applied, I was upset that I did not receive any communication from the bank; no email confirming that an account was created for me. It had been days, despite their website saying it should be quick. Money was taken from my account, but still no email from them. By then, I had already gotten a request to write a review, which I did. Shortly after, they called me. The woman I spoke to was very nice, helpful, and gave me her direct line to contact her if I needed any further assistance. After that, I didn't have any problems. I contacted customer service a couple of times, and they promptly responded. The bank gave me sufficient notice of when my CD would reach maturity and my options. My CD reached maturity, so I'm no longer using Bank5 Connect. I would have stayed with Bank5 Connect if they had a higher interest rate; that is the only reason I closed my account.

While we ultimately were able to transfer significant outside funds to a recently renewed Bank 5 CD, nevertheless, it required literally hours of efforts with long phone calls over 2 days to do so. Having received erroneous (i.e. wrong!) information from 3 different customer service reps, it wasn't until the 4th (actually a supervisor, who apologized repeatedly) that we finally were successful.

They make it a very simple process to open accounts with them, and better rates than most of my local banks

The people I worked with at Bank 5 Connect were terrific; each was knowledgeable and spent whatever time I needed to understand the process when I made the initial deposit for a 6 month CD to cashing it in on time.

Setting up the account online was very easy and I’m still early in the process so I’m not sure if it’s a great experience or not. My issues so far are that it takes a long time for funds to be available for use. I transferred $200 from another checking account into this new one and it’s going to be about 7 days before it’s available do use it even though the money is gone from my old bank account. Also, if this is a “checking account”, why didn’t I get checks? Why is there not a routine number?

Everything has been straightforward. Customer support is always pleasant and helpful. Although they aren't a local bank, they have local banks they work with for the times I need a cash machine

For phone calls, real people are very friendly, courteous
and helpful. As well, the "virtual assistant" is very responsive. If it's truly virtual and not a real person, congratulations on making it seem real.

Customer Service is not their strong suit. One hand doesn’t appear to know what the other hand is doing.

To improve I believe more training in Customer Service may be needed.

It took multiple secure emails and two phone conversations to close a CD at maturity. Nothing should be this complicated especially when they were notified days prior of maturity instructions.

Our banking relationship ends this month after this experience.
