Bespoke glass balustrade!
I contacted WPS to have a bespoke glass balustrade system designed and fabricated for a small domestic project. We received detailed drawings and renderings of the product to help with the design process. Outstanding customer care and the quality of the system received was spot on.

Innodek
Excellent service from Hollie from the point of ordering their Innodek composite decking through to delivery. However I'm disappointed with the product itself due to the variation in widths of up to 4 mm which makes it very difficult to match when laying. A couple of the planks were even over the size variation tolerance. When I contacted them on Saturday (they were closed) to tell them about the problems we had trying to fit it they insisted a few days later that 4 mm variation is acceptable, they were taking no responsibility and referred to the terms and conditions. They later offered to replace the wrong sized planks but as they were already fitted this wasn't a practical option. I have previously used a different company for another decked area and their product didn't vary by even 1mm. Now we are left with decking that could not be laid in a "brick" pattern as designed and WPS are placing the responsibility on myself and my fitter (as per their oft quoted terms and conditions). Whilst it may not be faulty as such, 4mm difference in size is not helpful despite their claims it's within industry standards. Based on other reviews it seems that other customers do have a good experience which makes me sure that this particular batch of decking had more size variations than others but WPS disagrees. I did get a call from a director after a few days and whilst he referred me to the terms and conditions of buying this product he clearly wasn't happy with my negative review. Based on my own experience their initial customer service is excellent but unfortunately there hasn't been much understanding or empathy towards the problems these size variations have caused. I personally wouldn't buy Innodek again and can't recommend their decking unless you are aware of and willing/able to deal with the size variation issues but I'd recommend WPS for their sales/ordering process which is efficient and friendly.

Thank you for your review. We do appreciate all feedback from our customers good or bad, especially if it is balanced and fair and not motivated by a lack of product knowledge. We are passionate about giving great customer service and we thank for your recognition of the same in your review.
We would like to reiterate that the tolerance on our board width is +/-1.5 mm giving a potential overall tolerance range of 3mm, however it is important to note that the vast majority of a production batch will be much closer in size than this. Unlike many other resellers who choose not to declare their tolerance we have detailed ours in the FAQ section of our website for the sole purpose of assisting our DIY customers who have chosen to fit the deck boards themselves and are not familiar with the fact that on occasion the manual gap adjustment is required during installation.
As communicated to you on the telephone the width tolerance is necessary because the manufacturing process of our composite deck boards involves a hot extrusion process which results in width variation as a result of shrinkage which can be influenced by many factors. We believe our tolerance is standard for the industry and whilst there are some that advise a slightly tighter tolerance of +/-1mm, there are other brands on the market whose published manufacturing tolerance is +/-3mm which is twice as much as ours.
It is important to note that composite decking is subject to thermal expansion and contraction which is why we always recommend the correct spacing both laterally and end to end and it is unfortunate that in your situation your fitter had to cut the boards off site prior to installation because of the need to transport them in a lift. Normal practice is always to cut the boards on site at the time of fitting so as to ensure consistent straight cut board lengths with the correct gapping resulting in a much more pleasing aesthetic finish.
You declined our offer to replace the two cut boards you say are measuring out of tolerance and we completely understand why as it is neither a practical or cost-effective solution given the fact that your deck is fully installed. As a result we have provided you with advice as to how you can reinstate the correct end to end gapping not provided by your fitter during installation without the need to lift the deck which should also give a much better aesthetic finish.
Once again, we thank you for your feedback and hope that you will enjoy the benefits our PROCAP boards despite the fact they are not laid exactly how you intended.

The delivery was prompt and on time. The delivery guys were very helpful.

Everything fitted perfectly
Everything fitted perfectly. My only negative comment is with regards to the video instructions. It would be much better to show how to align the glass when the pane requires four wedges rather than showing one. It took alot of trial and error to get it right. Great value for money.

Great product and service.
Excellent communication before purchase and competitive price.
Some things were missing from the order, but this may have happened once out for delivery. WPS were contacted and the missing items were dispatched immediately and received the following day.
Balustrades and glass fitted as expected and look good quality. Will use this company again.
