Purchased a redbud tree by the name hearts a fire. What I received was ruby falls redbud. I understand mistakes do happen. However I also expect company's to fix there mistake. Not in this case. Refused to remedy the problem. I have been told this company has changed owners few years back and is not what me or my family trusted throughout the years. I'm done with this company. All three jackson perkins parks seed and wayside all under one house. You people want last long if you don't reconstruct and respect your customers.....

I have been a long term Wayside Garden customer for over 50 years. I remember when it was located in Mentor, Ohio and the plants you received back then were huge, healthy, and well-grown. My last order from Wayside included 2 Spring Grove white flowering Dogwood trees. I was shocked when I opened the box to see the trees bare-rooted with no packing around them...just thrown into a box. They were bone-dry and most of the roots and branches were broken from being loose in the box with no protection. . In all my life I have never seen a worse job of shipping plants than this. I contacted the company to report my dis-satisfaction via E-mail and was told my E-mail was received...but I never received any response back...nothing but silence. My days of supporting this company are over. It is sad to see what it has become over the years.

I ordered 3 Tropicanna Canna corms to the tune of $55.60 for the tiniest, most dried up, dead canna corms I have seen. There is no excuse for sending something like that in hopes I wouldn't complain and they would have the money.
In their favor, a nice sales representative listened as I explained why I was dissatisfied with my order. She gave me a choice or credit or a refund. I took the refund. The lady was very pleasant and very efficient and didn't stall or try to delay my request for a refund. She is an asset to the company. Too bad the canna corms aren't.

I have received my order and am really pleased; thank you! This is my second year of gardening, and the first year was a great learning experience.
I placed an order this past Fall and the first shipment one of the plants arrived half alive and half dead. They were very kind in replacing that one. Now that we have been through the Winter, all 3 plants are dead!!! I ordered Rhododendron / Azalea, entered my zip code and said it was compatible with my climate! Apparently, their compatibility chart is NOT very good as all 3 plants died!! Called and spoke with Rachel and she just told me, "Sorry, there is nothing we can do about it!" Will no longer be doing business with Wayside Gardens, they don't stand behind their product!

I've been buying seeds from them for years, and I've never been disappointed. Their variety is extensive, and the quality of their plants is top-notch. Every seed I've planted has germinated beautifully, and their customer service is exceptional. I highly recommend it to all fellow gardeners!

I did not think a garden center could open a landfill behind their building. They are pushing over trees and burying them and their construction debris back there. It’s outrageous. I’m sure a normal residence could not do that. 7 days a week in the summer from sunup to sundown. Imagine the money he’s putting in his pocket , with his disregard for the environment. Don’t go there or hire them. Your trash well be buried behind the building !!

Hello and thank you for such excellent service The plans came in with less than 4 days I was amazed they went from Michigan to Houston Texas and just a couple of days All the plans were beautiful and great condition no diseases no brown spots and beautiful little 1 qt containers I was expecting much larger but there was a mix-up between me and the sales representative and clearly he didn't understand what I was trying to comprehend about needing 3 ft tall trees not growing in 3 ft and one day but we fix that problem and it's not about somebody making a mistake cuz it happens but it's how they handle the mistake is what makes them the superstar and to receive a five-star review they did everything they could and I spoke to two wonderful ladies and their office of a certain age that were professional kind courteous and make it happen attitude I couldn't be more pleased with a service that I received from them I would give them a five-star review and I would recommend that you use this facility Just make sure you know exactly what you're getting That's important I'm an old school baby boomer and not so great with modern technology but if you're a techie this shouldn't be an issue thanks again excellent service old guy's rule

Received a UPS scam phishing email from Waysidegardens.com stating that I have to pay a $1.95 to receive a package. We didn't order anything from this sham company, it's an obvious scam and people should be wary of receiving these types of emails. If you need verification you should contact UPS directly and not through any scam or third party websites.

I placed an order with Wayside gardens on March 5, 2023 for 25 hydrangeas. Whenever I tried to check the status of the order on their website I was redirected to a page which told me to contact customer service. When I tried emailing customer service to request a status and timing of delivery, I received an email saying I would be advised when the items were sent and they couldn't give me any more information because that information was determined by the "shipping department". Then I would receive a note saying my inquiry was resolved. My requests were never resolved, they just simply sent me an email saying they couldn't tell me. This went on for over a dozen email requests from me. Then at the end of April - nearly two months after the order was placed, I was informed two requested hydrangeas were no longer available - why did this take 2 months to find out? Now I'm left with two empty spots and most other vendors have sold out of specialty hydrangeas. Very poor service and I will not order from them again.

I reached out last Summer after my river birch tree order arrived with 2 of the 3 very small trees looking half dead. I was told it was common for them to go into a "dormancy" state and that they would usually "come out of it" after the season. I shared that I was willing to wait till the spring but wanted to make sure they would stand behind the guarantee if I waited and I was told that notes would be placed in my order file. Now that two of the 3 trees did not "come out of it" I reached back out to them and now I'm being told that the return time has expired which is exactly the opposite of what I was told would happen.

Really terrible! I order in December and just received the plants. When I called to ask, the person hung up on me when I was asking a question too.
One was a “bare root” plant but it was less the an inch long and it was $39.99.
Seriously just go somewhere else.

Wayside will not honor my gift certificates (at least not easily). I have two physical gift certificates (I called and verified that they are still good) that Wayside.com will not honor -- the website doesn't recognize them as active. I called customer service and was told to email info@wayside... with my shopping cart, and they would call me back for payment information. I did this on a Thursday morning and again on Friday morning. It's now
Monday morning, and still no callback. I will go ahead and call again...
...I am now on hold, trying to make a phone order using the gift certificates. The agent is attentive and friendly. Nevertheless, it's disappointing that I need to spend ~25 min on the phone for something that should take 5 in online.
