We have used Trent Barton 6 services whilst on holiday in Cromford. In our experience, the vehicles are comfortable and well branded - the drivers helpful - and the services we have used have run on time. The reduced fares have been less than we would have expended on petrol and parking and so we have not used our car.

Would have rated lower but can't. Worst bus service I've experienced, never on time! Lie about cards that are accepted. Overall awful

Ilkeston flyer is a bag of dogs**t always late by 40 minutes so you won't be getting to work or anywhere else on time, my job fires me for constantly being late but not these c**ts. F*****ng awful most of the drivers need firing and have better ones that actually put their foot down and don't sit there chatting for an hour and a half while they're supposed to be on schedule

This is a horrible and stupid company I have ever seen. never come on times, I just lost my job today because been waiting for the bus over an hour when timetable said bus come on time every 15 minutes.

Might as well start walking 15 miles to work each day they never show up. 4 buses I tried to get today were cancelled I was late to work despite trying to get the bus before the one I needed both got cancelled and took 2 hours to get home due to cancellations. Belper to Derby sixes are a joke

It doesn't really matter what the time schedule says, will always be at least 10 min late, or not show at all for half an hour. The worse.

An absolute shambles of a company you ask why the buses are always late they always shrug their shoulders it’s at a point where the council buses are more reliable, refuse to pay if it’s late there is a money back guarantee

Got kicked off bus cause the driver thought I went to Underwood and he told me to get off in the middle of nowhere and then I had to wait an hour in the freezing cold and got lucky I had an extra two pound to get home

Wight I was on the bus with my mate we get near our bus stop so press the bell other ppl get off me and my mate are at the back we got up and walk the AUDACITY OF THAT LADY DRIVER TO KEEP DRIVING while my lanky friend was walking to awards her like bfg she laughs at us and carry’s on driving made us get off at the stop that is 10 mins away from her house 2 females in the dark like couldn’t she of js stopped the bus and let’s not forget she’s a horrid driver terrible kept driving like a mad man over speed bumps this one guy I kid you not turned into a freaking jelly bouncing up down left and tight like I was concerned he got a concussion and this isn’t the first these drivers have done this they have driven PAST PPL that waiting at bus stops allways late it’s horrific. Still worried abt that little dude who bobbled like a jelly poor guy definitely is going to therapy and that women who drove the bus I WILL BE PUTTING A CURSE ON YOU 🥰

THESE BUSES ARE RUBBISH
they either drive past you , never turn up , to full to get on (not my problem
you all can’t use a double decker bus when it needed) or late. i have had several experiences with the v1 where i felt the need to kill myself due to it x

1) lateness/not showing up - they left me freezing cold in the morning making me late due to the fact they jsut didn’t turn up,sometimes they just generally drive past me to
2) LAST FRIDAY - this women driver was HORRID she curbed the bus about 100 times i lowkey thought i was off roading i ain’t ever seen a driver like this before and i press the buzzer and i go to get off the bus when i get to the bottom this lady slams the doors AND CARRYS ON DRIVING lowkey nearly knocked me of my socks and my friend who suffers with dwarfism got FLUNG this bus driver giggles aswell as the whole bus like it’s the funniest prank ever pulled n she goes “oh sorry ill let u off at the next stop” WHEN IT WAS COLD AT night i’m surprised i didn’t get kidnapped i was thinking to myself with the amount she’s giggling i bet she went home set herself a nice bath up candles this that and giggled about her little prank in their
3)my lil nap - i was on the bus 6.45am and oh my lord
i was taking a lil nap the bus driver stops the whole bus come n claps in my face and obviously my friend starts pissing herself but i was just tired let me

4) the old people on the bus - SOME OF THEM ARE SO NICE but the other ones are so demanded they sit their and act like they run the bus just coz they have a bus pass in don’t even know bro they don’t use their manners but i always use mine like i get it ur old u probs got the bus before i was even alive but it aint ur property
5)THE BUSES - leme just tell me if ur looking to get on the 7.25am bus to 9am dont even bother they aint no seats its so over crowded n in summers its so sweaty they aint no personal space u pay to get lobbed around on this lil bus with loads people giving u dirty looks coz you fly into them like just send a double decker bus they isnt no harm i see the v1 more full then the double deckers bottom floors esp at 4pm and 3pm (one time i was at bus station n it was too full to actually get on) i had to wait till the next 1

I have lived in Mickleover for over 20 years and have used Trent Barton Mickleover service regularly and generally it has been good. In the last 12 months the service has been very sporadic. Their 7-8 minutes from Derby bus station is quite frankly a joke. Buses just don't turn up. I have waited up to 40 minutes on several occasions. Yesterday afternoon I waited at the temporary stop near Primark side door on Albert Street. I arrived there around 3.15 p.m. and there were about 4 people there. Two Allestree buses, Swift and others came and went and by the time a Mickleover bus arrived at 3.45p.m. there were approx 40 people waiting. The bus stopped, it was nearly full and the driver let about 5 people on telling them all to get on and don't pay?? He then drove off leaving the other passengers behind. At every stop towards Mickleover he took no payment from any passenger and just hurried them on. Trent Barton should get their house in order and provide a regular bus service to Mickleover a.s.a.p.!!!

My daughter catches these useless buses day and night and most nights buses are cancelled. Not good being a female having to stand at a bus stop in Sutton in Ashfield for ove 40 minutes no excuse what so ever

Appalling, Inconsistent, unreliable, negative impact on society overall.

People are doomed if they rely on the Trent Barton service, as a frequent user of these services I’ve come to find that the Red Arrow and Allestree are simply shambolic. I consistently get let down by the live time system online, and the signs at the stop, With them consistently being inaccurate.

If I could give you zero stars I would.

While several busses were late this morning, my brother, his partner, and I were all really appreciative of driver Freddie (the 6.1 bus towards Belper from Derby) who not only apologised for the lack of buses but waved us onto the bus free of charge to make up for the fact we had been waiting in the rain for half an hour. We had been contemplating giving up and going home, but Freddie's consideration, kind manners and genuine thoughtfulness made our short journey well worthwhile and made what could have been a very frustrating and unreliable service more enjoyable. Thank you Freddie, despite the weather and the unreliable nature of the service, you were a welcoming and smiley face :D

I lost my job due to the unreliability of the bus making me late several times. I missed the start of many important meetings. I would regularly go out to get a bus 3 before I would actually need to and still manage to be late. I couldn't constantly afford to get taxis all the time either. I unfortunately am reliant on one Trent Barton bus due to where I live and I am seriously contemplating moving purely due to this issue. I have an interview today and my bus didn't turn up luckily I have left an hour between my interview and expected travel time but I shouldn't have to.

I am appalled by the shocking unreliability of this bus company. I am under the age of 18 and I have been waiting for OVER a hour with my friend.I understand there is traffic but over an hour in freezing temperatures is just bewildering. I do recommend you try using a different bus company. Safe travels!

I've been using the Keyworth bus since the 1980s (when it was the 6) but have given up in the last couple of years and use NCT buses instead. It's just too unreliable - you never know when or if a bus will turn up. The fact that Trent Barton don't even have timetables on their website any more tells you everything you need to know. It's a shame because the drivers are friendly and the buses comfortable. But the management need to realise that the only things that really matter about a bus service are punctuality and reliability. If they don't, this company is doomed.

Another freezing night waiting for a Calverton Connection which never arrives. Shows as on time until it is due, and then disappears. Used to be a great service pre-Covid, but an absolute shambles since. Unreliable, constant broken-down buses (oftrn hear the drivers talk to each other about them - they put the unreliable buses on the CC run because they say that depots mechanics are better at keeping them running - newsflash, its jot working). Increasingly discourteous drivers come and go almost daily. Trent Barton's operators licence needs to be taken from them. My advice, if another bus is available - take it. Don't wait for the TB bus. Loyalty to a once good company will cause you a lot of extra time at work making up for.the late starts, and a long time waiting in the cold trying to get home.

Thought I’d take my kids (4, 6, 9 and 9) out for a day in Matlock Bath and take the bus, rather than the car.

The kids were very excited and enjoyed the bus ride to Matlock Bath, as it’s been years since they’ve been in a public bus.

So far so good, until we wanted to go back home. The 6.1 to us goes once an hour, so we were at the bus stop we’ll in advance, but it never showed.

Not the end of the world, we explored Matlock Bath a bit further, but then the next 6.1 didn’t show either, and at this point the kids were cold and hungry.

Spent money on a lunch for them, and thought we’d take the 6.0 to Wirksworth instead and then walk 30 minutes home, as it wasn’t clear if the next 6.1 would show up.

As expected, the 6.0 didn’t show up either so in 2.5 hours time no show for any bus. Ultimately, gave up and paid £16 for a taxi.

Disgraceful service. Never again. Makes you realise why we have a car.
