Bought a dress online from them. Came with a broken zipper. I contacted them about this, they didn’t even respond

They charged a restocking fee and also paid for the label. I emailed them right after my order for a different size and they said item had shipped but in reality the item shipped 2 days after. I will never buy from them again. The return fee and shipping fee make the shopping experience terrible.

I am so happy with my recent order from The Dress Outlet!!! I ordered a formal “mother of the bride” type of pantsuit . The order came quickly, fit perfectly and was so reasonably priced , compared to the same outfit at the local Dillards. I couldn’t be happier with my experience !

It’s a nightmare returning an item. They get you with the restocking fee. The dress don’t look and feel at all as they advertise. Very disappointed customer

This place is a fraud. I got my order late and it is way too big. They don’t have a smaller size and you can forget about the bogus numbers you can’t reach anyone by phone and the text come back with the same form answer the restock fee is crazy expensive and you can’t get a return label because you have to pay to ship it back costing you $10 or $12. Between the shipping and restocking fee you lose so much of your original price. This place is a scam. Do not buy from them especially for a special occasion like my granddaughters wedding. Color matching and size plus fabric are essential in this occasion.

Extremely disappointing experience. They sent the wrong size for an international gift. When I reached out about their mistake, their response was slow, and the size I originally ordered was out of stock. I had to choose a different dress and pay the price difference. They also refused to send the new dress until I returned the incorrect one.

The dress was not great quality and the fit of sleeve and overall look was nothing like it appeared on the model.

The return process is a nightmare. I didn't buy a prepaid label so I had to spend $28 to return a $90 dress.

You will not get an answer on the phone number. The CHAT service is useless. I started a chat at 8:00 EST and woke up to a reply that came in at 4:30 AM (EST) Nothing in between. The CHAT is not timely or helpful.

It has been over a month and I still have not received my refund. TDO has it set up so there is no tracking number given to customers at UPS--Now I'm told I cannot get refund w/o tracking number. I have my UPS receipt. UPS says the vendor sets up the receipts, they just print it. TDO claims they cannot issue refund w/o tracking.

The glitter and sequins on the dress are very textured, our house, everywhere, my skin is covered in glitter and sequins... everywhere is terrible!
Everything turned blue.
It sticks to our skin and does not come off. Shipping is an other problem. Poor customer service! They told me: buy a hair spray and spray on dress!
Be careful before you order... (i told them we dont have time, they put on hold my dress 3 days for no reason and they told me i should pay another $ 39.99 for shipping.

They are not honest. I followed all instructions for an exchange - since they don't do refunds. I included in the return shipment all information from the purchase to the exchange. There had also been man emails. 3 weeks after I sent the dresses back I sent an inquiry as to the status of the exchange. They wanted the tracking number and when I couldn't provide that they said the dress that was supposed to be sent within 3-5 days of them receiving the return was not available in the size I wanted. It seems like they play games and have excuses instead of just doing the right thing.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. Mow in the phone was the rudest least helpful customer service representative I have ever spoken to. The return policy is trash. The dress came to me last and damaged and they can’t bother to reach back out to a customer. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

If I could give this company a zero star, I would. Trying to do a return is complicated and difficult. Their customer service "representative" MOW hung up on me when I told her I wasn't going to agree to their restocking fee. Their website says they would call to let you know there is a restocking fee before processing your order. They did not. I thought simply buying the return shipping label was adequate. It was not. One of the outfits looked NOTHING like the picture. VERY VERY VERY disappointed with this company and would NEVER buy from them again.

Met all of our needs: half the price of the bridal store for same dress, shipped on time and had easy tracking, offered a return if needed. Bridal stores won't let you return and neither will most online stores. It is risky to buy without trying it on which is why they allow a return with 7 days. Excellent experience!

The Dress Outlet prominently displays “Easy Returns” on the upper corner of their website. However, they have one of the most limited return policies I have ever experienced, requiring that returns be initiated within 7 days of receipt. I understand the need for the prompt return of dresses but this is excessive. It does not even allow for a reasonable amount of time to take the dress to be assessed for alterations. They seem to have a “no exceptions” policy even when contacting customer service. Thus, there is nothing particularly “easy” about their returns and this constitutes false advertising. There are many other more customer friendly retailers; I would recommend ordering from one of those rather than this company.

The dress was amazing! Yes the shimmer falls but not too much. I had to send back the dress 2 times! But the 3rd time was it. Customer service was amazing they replied back the entire time I wrote. I appreciate it every step of the way. And my niece looks beautiful in the dress!

Do not order from this site. Their dresses are terrible quality and their return policy is horrible. Have to return within a week for partial money back. I did so and they still said that it was not returned in time and kept my money. I even had to pay for a return label. Such a joke of a “company”.

Paid $135 for a dress to wear to my sisters wedding. It arrived missing a clasp.I reported this but had an accident and was unable to follow up. Recently I recovered and started to prepare to travel for the wedding. I put my dress on to try shoes and noticed the boddice stitching has fallen out. Instead of fitted boddice it was a lumpy mess. I contacted customer service, they refused to assist me. I requested an exception to policy given the dress was faulty and I had an unexpected emergency that prevented me from following up AND the dress had never been worn. They offered me $20. The wedding is in 3 weeks. Scam

If you're considering buying from here, please look at the discrepancy in reviews. A reputable company would not have this many one star reviews.

Here is my one star experience, short version:
-purchased two dresses but got notified that one was out of stock after being charged for both
-said two dresses were shipped, but only received one; they conveniently only provided tracking information for one
-poor customer service
-a refund that should have been processed in 3-5 days was processed a *month* later and only after I sent a tracking number.

My one star experience, detailed version:
- Ordered two dresses and was charged for both. Two days later notified that one of those dresses was out of stock in my size. I asked to exchange for a different size. They refunded me for this dress, then sent an invoice to pay again because that refund was a mistake. There were now two separate orders.
- Only received one dress. When asked when the second would arrive, they said:
"We shipped the dresses that were ordered - see below:

Received last December 5, along with 180096.

There were 2 dresses here:
CDBD4003-Black-M
DD1270-Black-6

Unfortunately, we accidentally refunded you $69.99 and we messaged you about this and sent you an invoice to pay."
**Notice they conveniently only provided tracking information for one dress, although they claimed both had been shipped.**
- After providing them a detailed description of my issue and why they were wrong, they say "For item DD1270-Black-6 which you did not receive, we apologize. This was refunded already on December 1st." So, now that "mistake" of a refund was no longer a mistake.
- Returned the one dress I did receive. Was told refunds were processed within 3-5 business days. Tracking information said it was delivered on December 20. On January 27, over a MONTH later, I e-mailed asking why I had not been refunded. They asked for tracking information, and upon reviewing that, processed the refund three days later. I fully believe if I did not have the tracking number they never would have processed the refund.

This company has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. For the sake of your money and sanity, shop elsewhere.
