Needed a dress, didn’t have time to go shopping. Went online and found The Dress Outlet. Picked a dress, received it the day before the event. The shipping was fast, the price was great and the fit was ok. Saved me from spending hours shopping and trying stuff on and gave me something glamorous (received tons of compliments!), inexpensive and great quality. I shopped there again recently and ended up purchasing a few $13 (yes, $13!!) dresses to donate to organizations that provide fancy outfits for girls who are going to prom or parties or graduations and cannot afford. Thank you!

The dress was lovely, as pictured, and of good quality.

The WORST company I’ve ever purchased from. They are thieves and take your money. Even when returning a dress I purchased I have NEVER received any form of refund.

Horrible customer service. They take so long to respond to emails, they never pick up their phone and they don’t call back. They charge restocking fee and won’t send you your money back they only provide store credit even if it’s their fault they don’t have the dresses they advertise on the website. My daughter had to get another dress from elsewhere at the eleventh hour smh! NEVER AGAIN! DO NOT BUY FROM
HERE!

Update by Diana M. - after back and forth emails, and providing The Dress Outlet documentation of the expenses I incurred including shipping to return the items to them, they refunded me about 2/3 of my total costs. Given their refund policy, including stocking costs and return shipping, I think this was a reasonable solution. I had returned the items purchased, which had been tried on but not worn, in their original packaging and provided a UPS tracking number for the return. However, I had no guarantee that I would receive any compensation so it was a risk to return the items. An alternative would have been trying to recoup some of my costs through reselling the items. The products were lovely, well-made, and well packaged but I would not choose to buy from The Dress Outlet again simply because there is no way to try on and return items, if necessary, without significant cost and hassle

Quality products, well-packaged but sizing varies and their return policy is HORRIBLE so watch out if you want to buy more than one size of the same outfit to see which fits best. TERRIBLE customer service and short-time frame policy for returns or exchanges. Only buy here if you are POSITIVE that you will keep the product. Returns are costly. I'm out the garments I returned, the shipping cost to return them, AND the original cost. I lost over $200 trying to buy from this company with nothing to show for it. Never again!

Though the company touts "easy returns" they don't mention that you only have 5 days to initiate a return until you receive the product and happen to notice a small piece of paper at the bottom of your box with this stated on it. Make sure you decide quickly, because there is no help on their part to work with the client.

I ordered two dresses and was excited to see them. When I removed them from the box hundreds of sequins fell all over the floor ! I wouldn’t wear a dress with sequins falling all over the floor ! I called the customer support but could never actually speak to a representative. Such a disappointment.

Very bad experience with the company. I bought the dress, had to return. The quality of the dress is very poor. It is not possible to contact the company. They simply don't answer. No refunds. NEVER BUY FROM THE DRESS OUTLET!!!

We had a poor experience with this company. The dress we received was not sized properly, ill-made, and torn. My daughter is a lawyer and plus sized (size 16). Since this dress was sized so small, it brought this accomplished, smart, and beautiful women to tears. No one should have that experience. while the site says "easy returns' what they really mean is that it is easy to get store credit but not to get a refund. I'm now stuck with almost $150 in store credit at a store we are not comfortable making a purchase from. An awful experience all around.

I’m very worried about the purchase I made from the online store, The Dress Outlet. The dress I was looking for for my daughter’s wedding—the perfect color and the size were listed as available—prompted me to buy it with my debit card.

I made the purchase on March 16th, and one week later I sent an email informing them that I was eagerly awaiting my beautiful dress and asking for an estimated delivery date. Soon after, they replied that the dress was out of stock. What do you mean?! I built up so many expectations only to buy something that didn’t even exist. I stated that I would like a full refund for my dress, and since then they have not responded—neither by email nor by phone. I feel wronged.

This company shouldn’t even be operating. I have read comments that they are difficult to reach, with some customers reporting that they did not receive their orders and were not refunded. I am very concerned. I have already contacted the bank to cancel the transaction, and I am reporting it on several fraud websites.

Bought a dress online, seemed to be taking ages to ship so I emailed- no response. Finally I called and found out the dress was out of stock and they hadn’t bothered to notify me

Super difficult and deceptive return processing.
Super difficult website to maneuver.
I had to contact BBB to get any action. No response to multiple different requests, questions, emails, etc.
Took 20% from my return.
Do not shop here unless it’s a perfect fit or style.
Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had!

I tried to return a dress at the Dress Outlet but since I am from Canada I was told when I phoned the company I was not eligible for any return or exchange.
No International Returns: There was no indication that Canada was considered "international" and no indication on my receipt that the sale would be indeed FINAL upon paying for dress online (even when my dress was an eligible item (David's) and had no other "sale" or "final sale" label upon payment).
Shipping Cost: The shipping information currently on their website states that there will be NO shipping fees for costs $99 and up for international clients. I paid over $100 for my dress alone. When I brought this up, I was told that the website has not been "updated" for a while and that shipping is free only for international costs over $199.
I was also charged the international shipping fee of $59.99 rather than the Canadian fee of $39.99 as well on top of the cost of my dress.
Otherwise, dress came in good condition-very sparkly-similar to what you see on the website. I am 5' 3" so would have to get it hemmed quite a lot.
When I tried to leave a review on their website I could not, so I am trying to leave a review on here for all.

Y pasando los meses, aún así aún me deben dinero. Se dedican a enviar correos automáticos, diciendo que la transición es de 15-25 días, que no me preocupe, que tal... Estamos a mitad de marzo y aún me deben dinero. Me da que no lo voy a ver. Asique POR FAVOR no compréis en esta página, es una ESTAFA, espero que esta reseña la pueda leer alguien antes de comprar aquí. Bajos precios a cambio de perder dinero,tiempo y sin que te lleguen las cosas. No debería estar permitido que existan páginas como está. A partir de ahora tiendas físicas y si es por internet con páginas conocidas donde sabes que te llegan las cosas y no te TIMAN. Nadie da pesetas por duros!!!! No caigáis en esta estafa, siempre va a existir gente que se queda con el dinero de la gente antes de ponerse a trabajar honradamente.

Wow they received my returned dress but refused to return my money as store credit or back to my payment method. Warning Do not order from them

Horrible customer service they never answer and their is no option to get a refund only store credit and you also loose 20% and 14.00 to ship back stuck with 2 outfits terrible

I purchased a dress final sale, for $35.99. I had been watching the dress which was normally $135.99, so I thought I was getting a good deal. My order was confirmed, and I was notified my order had shipped. Four days later the shipping still reflects the item has not been received, and I then receive an email from TDO that the dress is sold out. The dress, in the size I ordered is clearly available, right now, same stock number for $135.99 in the exact size I ordered. The person on the phone tried to gaslight me into believing it is was a different size...then a different dress, which isn't "final sale"[exactly the same dress]. She said if I wanted to pay the extra $100 I could purchase it or apply my money to another dress, at which point I requested a refund, which has supposed to have been processed (I will file with my credit card if not). Why would I pay $100 MORE for the dress you already sold me for $35.99? Caveat Emptor--shady AF.

Don’t waste your money they are shady! I wanted to return two dresses that they sent me damaged. They refused to send me a return label and stretched out the process for over 3 months and then tell me that my time for returning them has passed so I can’t return them! Are you kidding me?!? I have two damaged dresses that still have tags on them, that I have pictures with time and date stamp of the damaged items, a whole string of emails asking what is going on and where my return label is, but all they keep saying is that they are sorry my return window has passed! That’s what type of horrible company they are. It’s obvious that the quality of the materials they use suck and they don’t care if they product is damaged, broke, ripped etc., they will either still charge you a return and restocking fee or just drag it out until the return window has passed so that they can use that as an excuse.
Update- that is the same response you have given multiple times but the problem is I tried to return it within the returnable timeframe and you wouldn’t respond to me until it was too late! I have evidence and proof of what I am saying also so I can prove it.
