Lies, lies, lies!
John Segala came to our door with his super Christian act. He said our PGE bill would drop dramatically and with the monthly solar payment and we would save significantly. That was true the first month and the PGE bill has increased every month to the point that we pay the same amount as we did before except now we have a 25 year lease. They are the snake oil salespeople your mother warned you about!

Avoid Sunrun — Unreliable equipment and misleading customer service
Bought a house with an existing Sunrun lease, and it has been a nightmare. The system constantly shuts off, and it takes them 3+ weeks every time just to dispatch a technician to fix it. Our inverter recently failed, leaving us with sky-high summer electric bills while waiting for repairs.
The worst part is the customer service. Multiple representatives promised we were protected by a performance guarantee and would receive a credit for underproduction. Each representative promised to call me back with details, but no one ever did. After chasing them down, I was finally told we get nothing because performance is averaged over the full lease period. Complete disregard for the customer and empty promises. Stay away.
