Beware of false promises by sales representatives to get you to sign up
We just started our first month of service and so far everything is working fine. However I need to address the unsatisfactory issue with the District Manager Sherry Ali who came to our home to offer the service. To get us to sign up he told us that SunRun will replace our old 1980s electrical panel to make it more “solar ready” - that never happened. Their electricians/tech just hooked everything up to our old panel and we even had a breaker trip one time after installation. They told us that the new panel installation was not included in the work order by the sales agent. Next Mr Ali told us that we will get the introductory promo of 6 months free service. That never happened, we are billed for next month for the service. He also mentioned that together with the service there will be a promotion of getting a free security service similar to ADT which we can opt out after a year. That also didn’t happen.
My advice to people being approached by these sales agents is to have them WRITE DOWN all the promotions/promises they are telling you to get you to sign up. Otherwise if you try to ask anyone from the company they will just tell you that “it was not documented in your account”. And if you try contacting the sales agent, he will now actively “ghost” you because you’re already in. His work is done.
Pretty sure SunRun has a great service, I’ll find out down the line. But they sure have some shady sales representatives going around.

If PGE power is out the system shots…
If PGE power is out the system shots down and stops charging the battery. So it becomes useless in a prolonged PGE outage. A another person told me that is not true with my Tesla battery system.Support is also poor
