Könnte ich Minus Sterne geben, würde ich es tun. Das war mit Abstand die schlimmste Flugerfahrung ever. ich war ein Jahr Reisen und hatte nie sowas zuvor.
unser flug wäre eigentlich am 20.11 um 09:40 uhr in der früh gegangen. dieser wurde dann verschoben auf den 21.11 um 6:50 ihr morgens. In der Nacht vom 20.11 auf 21.11 wurde dann der flug erneut auf 09:40 uhr am 21.11 verschoben. Angekommen am Flughafen, wurde erst eine Stunde lang „rumgeschissen“ wegen unserer Surfbag, bis wir dann am Neben Schalter mitbekommen haben das unser Flug auf 15:00 uhr verschoben wurde, was uns an unserem Schalter nicht gesagt wurde. Naja was soll ich sagen, nun ist es 16:00 uhr und es ist kein Flugzeug in Sicht.
Keine Erstattung, keine Begründung, keine Entschuldigung.

Extremely Disappointed
We was scheduled to fly with this airline to catch a connecting flight, but when we arrived at the airport, were told my flight was delayed by 3 hours without any prior notice. This delay caused us to miss our next flight, and We were not the only one Despite there being another flight at a similar time, the airline offered no solutions. We had to pay for a last-minute flight way way way more expensive than our original ticket. The airline promised a refund within 3 months, but it's been 5 months with no refund or compensation. While the amount wasn’t large, the lack of responsibility and care is unacceptable. This experience shows the airline’s complete disregard for its passengers.

I enjoyed the flight with sunlight airlines. Staff were friendly and good hospitality. I booked for a flight with carry on luggage only, but my luggage was 7.5. The airline didn’t charge me for extra kilo and there were only few people in the flight I was surprised to see the airlines didn’t cancel the flight, even though there were few passengers. They also provided complimentary drink and snacks.

I had a flight delayed by most of the day, which would ruin my trip, so I asked if I could cancel and refund my flight. The ground staff told me I could, so i cancelled and booked another flight. It has almost been 6 months and I still haven't received my refund. In fact I just received an email trying to dissuade me my refund.
Worst airline I know
Worst airline I know, even worse than Ryanair or wizz air. 2.5 hrs delay on the way to Siargao from Cebu without anyone knowing why. Then on the way back we were already in the air, then the plane had to turn back and land again because of a problem with the oil filter. Took hours before anyone let us know what was gonna happen and what other possibilities there were to get to Cebu. The staff kept insisting they could not do anything for us if 3 hrs had not passed yet, because that is the legal waiting period before they are obliged to rebook us.
Aside from this terrible experience there are other things very wrong with this 'boutique' airline. When you are ordering tickets on their website, the prices keep changing. When you proceed to payment, rhey offer only intermediary payment options which add an extra 250 pesos to your order. You cannot simply use your card, you are obliged to pay the extra payment fee.

This is by far the worst airline I’ve ever experienced. Our flight (2R601) from Clark to Busuanga on September 25, 2024, was nothing but a string of delays. What was supposed to be a relaxing vacation, especially since it was our anniversary, turned into a stressful ordeal. First, they unexpectedly changed our departure from Manila to Clark without offering any complimentary transportation, rebooking options, or even the possibility of a refund. Now that we're finally at Clark, the flight has been delayed again.
Originally, our departure was scheduled for 1:20 PM with an expected arrival in Busuanga at 2:40 PM. However, this was pushed to a 3:20 PM departure and a 4:40 PM arrival. Yet, despite the plane arriving at 3 PM, there was another delay!
This vacation was supposed to be our time to relax, but instead, this airline has caused nothing but frustration. They have no regard for their passengers' time or effort. We've wasted an entire day, which should’ve been spent relaxing at our hotel, because of their numerous delays. This airline has been a huge disappointment.

By all means DO NOT book with this atrocious airline. If I have known they will f****d us over with unreasonable flight changes I wouldn’t book with them. I opted to get a refund instead. It’s been 7 months and still no refund. I have emailed the refunds team multiple times but NO replies. What a joke of an airline!!! 🤬😡 I’ll give them a fat O if I could!
travelling with Sunlight Air the First Time
Despite all these messy reviews I read in reddit, I still booked a flight from Cebu to Boracay anticipating a little delay but praying not cancelled. I went earlier and waited for the boarding time, had coffee float and burger to be relaxed. And surprisingly, 15 minutes before the scheduled boarding time, they call for boarding and waited in the bus. And thankfully the flight went smoothly arrived 20 minutes before the scheduled arrival at Caticlan. Ticket was 3x cheaper than any airline I checked because I bought the ticket 1 day before the flight. As for my experience, I can say that I will be flying again with Sunlight Air. Just giving my humble and honest review based on my own experience.

Our flight to Coron was at 1:20 PM and my 2 children and their 2 cousins reached the checking when they were closing. They did not check them in because they just simply said that they (the children) were late. That was around 12:50 PM. Why did they not take them? I believe they enough time to take them in, but they just decided not. The people at the checking in did not care about their clients. I consider this poor service.

Rated 1 star only because I couldn’t give it a 0. I don’t even want to describe our crazy experience with this joke of an airline and I would encourage everyone to please avoid this company when flying. They’re always delayed and can end up cancelling your flight last minute after waiting for hours. What’s worse is that no one will tell you this because their staff are just as useless. They’ll start to hand out banana chips and water and tell everyone to be patient when in reality your flight has been cancelled. So please, stay the hell away from this airline. Even if the ticket is $10 don’t buy it. It’s just not worth the stress and headache. I really hope this company gets sued or goes out of business with all the shady stuff they pull off. Bunch of scammers. Screw all of you disrespectfully.

Flight delayed by 2 hours on the last minute from Siargao to Cebu. Cannot make it in time for connexting flight, so had to purchase another flight ticket from Philippines Airlines on the spot (now double priced).
No offer to take the ticket in charge, neither offer us their own airline connecting flight to make it up...
However, staff tried to find solution for us.

I booked a flight with them, then they changed the time/schedule with a stopover at Clark airport which did not make sense... I was eligible for a refund and over 90 days later (which they say it can take for a refund) still no refund. I have contacted them many times and although they respond all they say is that the refund is still being processed. I asked them where I can complain about this and they never replied to this. This is ridiculous!!! From what I can see a lot of people have the same experience-something needs to be done about this??
