Ich kann nur eindringlich vor dieser Firma warnen. Die Flugplanung ist ein absolutes Desaster: Mein Hinflug wurde nach hinten verschoben und der Rückflug nach vorne verlegt – die Flüge waren damit komplett unbrauchbar. Zum Glück habe ich spontan auf eine Fähre umgebucht, sonst wäre mein gesamter Trip ruiniert gewesen.
Die daraus resultierende Erstattung für meine Buchung wurde mir schriftlich bestätigt – mit dem Versprechen, dass das Geld innerhalb von maximal 90 Werktagen auf meinem Konto ist. Diese Frist ist nun längstens verstrichen. Das Geld ist bis heute nicht da.
Es gibt keinerlei Rückmeldung, der Kundenservice stellt sich tot. Das ist kein Service, das ist die systematische Verschleppung von legitimen Rückzahlungen.
Ich habe aufgrund dieses inakzeptablen Verhaltens nun offizielle Beschwerde bei der philippinischen Luftfahrtbehörde (Civil Aeronautics Board) wegen Verstoßes gegen die Fluggastrechte eingereicht.
Buchen Sie hier nur, wenn Sie bereit sind, Ihrem Geld monatelang hinterherzulaufen oder gar nie an Ihrem Zielort ankommen möchten.

My first time traveling to Palawan
My first time traveling to Palawan and the crew of Sunlight Air could not have made it any more enjoyable. They were very friendly and accommodating. They could tell it was my first time to the island and not only welcomed me with a huge smile but had great suggestions for my travel. On my return flight on Father's Day, they even went about and beyond for all the fathers with a gift and small celebration. I will definitely be using this airline when I come back for my next visit.
Tickets from Cebu to sairgao were 2000…
Tickets from Cebu to sairgao were 2000 pesos cheaper than Asia airlines. At check-in they charged me 4000 pesos for over weight bags! The couple next to us paid for overweight baggage online, had all documents and were charged again because the counter people said it didn’t show in their system.
Flight Disruptions and Worst Refund Process Ever
If I were you, I would stay away from this airline. They caused us significant inconvenience by canceling our flight just a few days into our trip, and we weren’t even given the chance to rebook on the same day. It completely ruined our vacation. We ended up booking a different flight through Cebu Pacific instead which have cost more.
Worst of all is their refund process, it takes forever to get your money back, and you shouldn’t expect regular updates from them, as they seem to forget about your case altogether.

I’d stay away from this airline I did not look at reviews first I so regret booking with them I had 3 flights for them and each flight they moved the times for their convenience because they only fly once a day. Tried buying my luggage add on online and couldn’t. got to the counter it cost triple the amount and they wouldn’t honour the original the online price. My flight out of Coron to Cebu was moved and then delayed for 3hrs waiting but never bothered making an announcement and no one to be found at the counter. Last time I would ever fly with them. It’s the cheapest airline but I’d rather go somewhere else.

Je déconseille fortement Sunlight Air à quiconque tient à voyager sans stress.
Mon vol a été retardé… pas une, pas deux, mais trois fois. Aucune communication claire, aucune prise en charge, juste de l’attente et de la frustration.
Le service client? Pratiquement inexistant. Aucun effort pour informer ou aider les passagers — on a vraiment l’impression d’être laissés à nous-mêmes.
Et le clou du spectacle : 116$ pour un deuxième bagage de 13 kg. Sérieusement? C’est excessif et complètement abusif.
Au final : mauvaise organisation, service décevant et frais injustifiés.
Je ne voyagerai plus avec cette compagnie, et je vous conseille fortement de regarder ailleurs.
Cockroaches on the plane!
Cockroaches on the plane!! Should clean their planes better. And I dont know what type of pilots they hire, but seems like everytime we land it feels like we are going to crash. Been on 2 sunlightair round trips. Ive always flown since I was 3!! Never in my life have I felt like I was going to die while landing.
Especially on our flight in Siargao. The landing in Siargao airport, you could feel the plane turning. I dont believe its because of the “size” of the plane as I have gotten on small planes before as well but never experienced this. Felt like the plane was going to roll over. Now the plane we took going back to Clark, took a turn in the sky and took a big DROP. It felt like we were on a rollercoaster. After that the plane felt shakey left and right the whole time. And the landing, dont get me started. It bounced off the ground multiple times!! You could hear everyone gasp and start praying. Never again flying.
Sunlight Air flight 834
I recently flew on Sunlight Air flight 834 from Caticlan to Clark, and I would like to share my experience in a constructive way.
My booking confirmation (via a third-party agent, Justfly) indicated a 4:00 PM departure. However, upon arrival at the airport, the departure time appeared to be around 5:00 PM. Unfortunately, there were no clear announcements or prior notifications regarding this change.
The flight was further delayed to approximately 8:00 PM. What was particularly concerning was that passengers were told this schedule adjustment had been announced about a month in advance. In my case, I did not receive any email or update about these changes, despite regularly checking my inbox to confirm my flight details.
I understand that delays can happen, but timely and accurate communication is very important for passengers to plan accordingly. I hope Sunlight Air can improve coordination with third-party booking platforms and ensure that all passengers are properly informed of any schedule changes.

Dont use Sunlight Air!
Horrible experience, the flight was delayed by one hour, there were multiple cockroaches on the walls and it got incredibly hot in the plane.
Then once we arrived at the airport it turned out that for about half the people on the plane the baggage was offloaded. They only told us this once we arrived, even though they are legally obliged to tell us before departure.
All our swimming and diving equipment was in our bag, because of this we had to cancel our whale shark tour.
When we asked for compensation they told us that we would only get 1000 pesos, which amounts to about €15, which didnt cover our costs at all.
Then they tried to let us sign a waver, but in the small print it turned out that that meant we would only get the 1000 pesos, but would sign away our right the quickly get our baggagge.
We gave them our contact details and they promised us that they would call us as soon as the baggage arrived, which was sheduled at 11 in the morning. They never contacted us.
We contacted their customer service ourselves but we only got a general reply that would inform us when it arrived.
At 3 pm we decided to go to the airport ourselves, where it turned out that our baggage had arrived, but they did not tell their customer service.
Terrible service
Our flight from Busuanga to Cebu was delayed with an hour. Then at the arrival they informed us (and another 14 passengers) that our baggages were offloaded and stayed in Busuanga due to weight concerns. Because of this maleur we needed to miss the whole whale shark programme as our stuff was in the checked bag. We came to Cebu only for this reason and this airline managed to ruin our holiday. They operate with old fleet which is not well maintained. On the way we saw 2 cockroaches on the plane crawling around and the ventillation was also not effective at all. Please pay the extra 30 bucks for other airlines and avoid this one at all costs!

La peggior compagnia aerea. Dovevamo volare da Coron a Manila. Ci hanno spostato l'orario di due ore avanti. Non contenti non hanno imbarcato i bagagli, tornati a Manila dovevamo ripartire il giorno dopo per rientrare in Italia.
I bagagli non sono mai arrivati e dopo una settimana non sappiamo ancora dove siano e se o quando li rispediranno per l'Italia.

Never again. Changed the flight time 4 times, up until to 6 hours before or so. Of course this has great financial impact as we needed to book last minute flight to keep up with everything else planned. I know that it is within law to do that as an airline, but I saw no effort from the airline to minimize the impact, the contrary.

Onbetrouwbaar, pas op!
Verschrikkelijke luchtvaartmaatschappij. Ze vinden het de normaalste zaak van de wereld om een vlucht een paar dagen van te voren te verplaatsen naar een paar uur later. Dat tientallen passagiers hun volgende vlucht dan niet halen en moet omboeken, zal hun een zorg zijn. Alternatieve vluchten op eerdere tijden bieden ze vervolgens ook niet aan, ook niet naar omliggende vliegvelden. En aan de rest van de reviews te lezen, flikken ze dit (en nog erger) wel vaker. Ze zouden normaliter allang zijn opgeheven, maar hier blijkbaar niet. Pas dus op en mocht je niet anders kunnen, zorg dat je vele uren aan overstaptijd hebt!

Flight was cancelled due to weather last July and STILL WAITING for a refund in February.
Endless loops of 'customer service' tell you 'it's being processed, we have no eta'.

Never flying with this airline again. Both my flights to and from Coron were delayed for roughly 4 hours. Service was terrible and there was very poor communication about the delays. Extremely disappointing experience.
