Up until recently, I was having a great experience with Storyblocks. Very much enjoying the experience. We signed up for around 600 USD annually. After a while, I received emails stating that our license was not valid for our intended usage. It seems that I was personally licensed, but my business was not. The fee to upgrade was $5,000 USD for 1 users or 12,000 USD for 5 users. That's $7600 AUD or $18,281.82 AUD, absolutely ridiculous! The lack of transparency or clarity in the signup just feels like a blatant cash grab. I completely understand that licensing is expensive but would you be better having an option on the website that's easy for businesses to sign up to that's more like 400-500 usd per month, rather than having licenses that don't fit the majority of users that will sign up.

This is a high value subscription, but when my business dropped and I needed to cancel a few days after the deadline, support made it happen - no questions asked. It was a tremendous relief, and I was once again very impressed.

This review is only about the "Footage" on Storyblocks.

First, though Storyblocks might be a bit pricier than other footage providers, it's a huge time saver when it comes to downloading footage. Select > Click the resolution > hit return to download. Easy and fast.

Next, I found support very helpful and responsive with trying to do a search for footage.

Finally, the selection is amazing! And the filters actually work in doing a good job at filtering the relevant footage.

A video catalog so HUGE- worth every penny spent.
Big, big, big bang for the buck. Get yours!
