Stonegate Firm Omdömen 

We signed a contract with Stonegate on Jan. 2, 2026 to cancel Marriott and Wyndham timeshares. Completed their questionnaire and promptly returned it to them. They composed a letter to send to both resorts. The Marriott letter contained references to both timeshare companies. After we called them, they corrected the letter and emailed it to us to send to Marriott, which we did on Jan. 26, 2026. Marriott responded on or about Feb. 13, and we emailed Stonegate the response. We were notified that they were unable to read it, so we sent it to Stonegate again on Feb. 16.

After no communication from Stonegate since that date, we sent them two certified letters with return receipt notifications. The first one was dated March 25 and received by them on Mar. 30. The second one was dated April 17 and received by them on April 21. Both letters were sent to 1309 Coffeen Avenue, Suite 1200, Sheridan, WY 82801. They did NOT respond to either letter or to the Marriott response we sent them on Feb. 16.

Financing is through United Consumer Financial Services. While making our May payment to them during the 10-day grace period, we explained that we were giving Stonegate additional time to respond to our certified letters. They offered to email Stonegate about the situation. We believe that triggered action by Stonegate to reach out to us. On May 19, Stonegate called us in the afternoon, and we advised them about our desire to end the contract and get our money refunded. We asked them to call us back on Friday, May 22 at 1 pm. They did not call us as we agreed on. We wanted to get legal advice before proceeding any further with them. Instead, that evening we received an email of legal letters they made up to send to Marriott and Wyndham. The next day on May 20 we got an email from Stonegate requesting the certified letters tracking information as the Stonegate representative advised us that they did not receive either certified letter sent to the Sheridan, WY address. We sent her the tracking numbers and copies of both letters. Her response was "I wanted to clarify that the office where the certified letters were delivered is not the location where our legal team operates and, as a result, that office is only staffed on a limited basis. Our legal team, which actively handles and reviews legal matters, is based in Canton, OH, so we did not receive those mailings."

On May 21, we received an email from Stonegate with instructions to send legal correspondence to P.O. Box 456, Green, OH, 44232. That email included a letter denying cancellation of the contract and no refund. The letter states to direct written correspondence to the exact same address as both certified letters were sent to in Sheridan, WY.

We have zero confidence that Stonegate will perform properly and in a timely manner after what we have experienced during the past four and a half months. The fee we paid was higher as we wanted them to seek money back from both Marriott and Wyndham for maintenance fees, down payments, loan payments and interest, etc. We highly doubt that Stonegate will follow through on that part of our agreement if or when the timeshare contracts get canceled.

Stonegate takes people's money and they offer very unprofessional service, inconsistent directions and total disregard to previously sent documents. They didn't respond to our certified letters, telling us to send more documents to the same address as the certified letters were sent to that they claim they didn't receive. Almost NO communication from them, expecting people to wait indefinitely until they are pushed to do something.

They should accept responsibility for their inaction and failure to respond. We want them to end our contract and refund our money immediately.

I was getting frustrated because I sent a scan of a response letter from Massanutten to DaShunta Ruffin on 3/3/26. On 3/12/26 I called to make sure it was received DaShunta wasn‘t available, so I talked to Janell. The email hadn‘t been opened, so she downloaded the scans toour case file and told me that SGF woulddraft a response and I should expect a copy in about 3 weeks. On 5/19/26 I called and after about a 15 min hold I was sent to voice mail and left a message for DaShunta to give me a call. On 5/20/26 I called again and after a 10 min hold I hung up. I was beginning to think Stonegate Firm was a scam. I called Elizabeth Garner and expressed my frustration. 16 min later my wife received a call from DaShunta Ruffin that the lawyer would sign off on the case that day and we would get a copy. We received a copy of the lawyer‘s letter to Massanutten the next day.
Whatever Elizabeth Garner did got immediate action. You need to hang on to her!

My sister hired Stonegate Law to help me get out of her timeshare with Wyndham and paid them almost $5,000 over a year and a half ago. Since then, she has received little to no meaningful updates, no clear explanation about the status of my case, and no resolution. Communication has been extremely difficult, and HER calls and emails often go unanswered. She trusted this firm to provide professional assistance, but after all this time, nothing appears to have been done. Very disappointing experience.

Stay away from this firm. They wrote a good letter to initiate the exit but only after NUMEROUS REQUESTS from me to do something and months of waiting. I had so many incompetent reps at first that nothing got done as payment requests from my timeshare rolled in. In the end, I had to deal personally with the timeshare and managed to exit after paying another $3000. It appears to me that a timeshare exit firm is no longer required. Just write a letter requesting exit and pay what's necessary.

I was checking into how to exit from our timeshare. We haven’t been able to use it for several years due to Covid and the economy. I contacted stonegate and was pleasantly surprised that they did not push me into unnecessarily spending money to get information on an exit program that was free to me. They offered me a solution to my problem. I received a call from a gentleman named a Brock. He advised me on how to contact my timeshare company on their website to find out what I needed to do to get out of my contract. He was a Godsend, I am so grateful and appreciative for all his help.
